They did a great job on this cartoon. Animation was smooth, action scenes were amazing and the character design was outstanding. I really wanted a Season 3, but of course Disney Screwed us and ruined it. >:( Also, the way how Eddie becomes Venom in this episode is bone chilling yet exciting. Thumbs up if you miss this cartoon. :(

MARVEL was gonna get the total rights of spiderman from sony and that put sony in a legal limbo with all spiderman related projects. and wen it was settled the spectacular spiderman idea was dropped for som reason and marvel had to com up wit the ultimate spiderman idea. so, all in all. u can blame disney, marvel and that random idiot at sony for the downfall of the spectacular spiderman

Tons of reasons. First, when Peter ran off to fight The Lizard as Spider-Man and then sold the pictures. It looked like Pete ran away and just took pics for profit. Then it looked like he didn't call the police during the fight with Black Cat to get photos, and it looked like Spider-Man was a robber. It also looked like he ditched Gwen at the dance, and Spider-Man killed the symbiote when Eddie needed it to stay in college. When he found out Pete and Spider Man were the same, he just got madder.

One thing this series definitely has going for it is the great battle scenes. They're really long and well-choreographed and don't skimp on the animation quality :D

90's series was better... scene was better drawn and voiced. I don't know what's happening with these new cartoons, but it seems like animators are getting a lot lazier. Voice acting and the script for this was terrible, I got goosebumps hearing the symbiote say "No, we do not like the vibrations, they are unpleasant."... "They are unpleasant." Oh come on, try a little harder.

I mean the only series that displayed Carnage as an insane serial killer was the original comic, but since then he's been tone down everywhere else. In this day in age it's a mute point. Anyway this is still a children's cartoon, we can't go and put something like a serial killer in this show.

All things considered, the 90's cartoon version of carnage did at least get the point accross of carnage's murderous nature -using "absorbing" of "life energy" in place of killing.

A similar treatment could be given here...they could also show carnage always on the verge of impaling/killing someone when spiderman appears. yep, with clever editing, they can make carnage murderous without showing it explicitly.
