@eternal8song Definietly get one! They are absolutely amazing dolls. I have two (soon to be three) they even came out recently with an Obitsu the same size as a Puki/Brownie.
@eternal8song Yeah their so little and so utterly adorable. I'm getting one very soon. They even have dogs that can be scaled to SD and MSD sized as little dogs.
This was very cute! Im interested in getting a obitsu doll and this has helped me decide to get one for sure! Only thing is...do you know or can you show how to root a obitsu's head? I have NO IDEA how to do that! Please?! Or how to put acrylic eyes in! If you can, could you show? It'd be VERY helpful to 1st timers like me. Thanx! :D
*sigh* I wish I had an obitsu doll. But when I tried to purchase one at junkyspot the shipping was $30 to the cost so I had to pay $67.49! I can't believe it! Just because I live in Canada doesn't mean I have to pay that much.. It's not fair!!! :,(
I think Obitsu themselves ship to Canada, and their shipping fees are lower than that... I may have missed something, but it's worth checking out. :) I can't post a link on youtube, but search for Obitsu, Parabox and go from there. They have a homepage in English.
(Me and my sister make sure to order dolls at the same time, so we hit above 150 bucks and get free shipping :p )
just a small thing no big, but when you use the word 'an' when you preceed a word with a vowel, such as "an obitsu doll" NOT "a obitsu doll" I am not being mean, just letting you know as it is a simple thing to remember and does sound better as you have taken so much time to make your video. Thanks and darling dolls, you did a good job.
...it strikes me that most people here dont seem to be aware that these obitsu dolls are used specifically as reference tools for artwork, typically manga... though, i suppose folks can use them as regular dolls though...
@FenrusU Obitsus are BJDs. Not just a reference even though I use mine as one they are not just reference tools! Many many many people have them as dolls. You and 2 other people are the only people you think that they are just for drawing. Most people new to BJD world buy them because they are great for starters and are cheap! *eye roll*
@FenrusU They are also used as regular dolls. That's why they are manufactured. Artists using them as references only came about because they are ball jointed. :P
Oh man, I went on JunkySpot . com but man are they expensive, maybe I should buy a ready made one from ebay ?? I heard they sell the whole thing ready for you and its only around 100 pounds ! ...I gotta get one 'cause any true Otaku has gotta have one, right ? :3
well you can find artist who already made and painted one normally if you can find a artist directly you can probaly work things out easier. on that hand there are people who own dolls in differnt countries and states. its just finding someone and seeing can they ship to me and is the price reasonable most dolls overseas can ship about 20-30 dollars with insurance as you can pull aapart parts so it can fit in a smaller box
Hnm, yeah, but can you recomend any one ? I can't find one, I'm 13 and I only get ten pounds a week, lol, I need to find someone and then ask mum and get my money ready and ect, lol, first I need to get everything ready, and btw, how do I know if I can change it ? Some people say they make requested ones but some people make them ready for you to change, like with long hair for you to cut by yourself... ...oh gawsh this is gonna be hard, wish me luck :'D
Just a friendly note... calling yourself an "otaku" in Japan would result in people being wary of you and for the most part being creeped out... otaku means someone who has no good traits, social life, or generally any concern for the outdoors, so they just live inside the house... and is extremely negative to call someone in Japan itself, yet so many people...
Lol, i gues, hehe, I meant I was an Otaku in the way they use it mostly in Anime- People who collect almost everything ,manga and anime (although the Chibi Sakura Haruno lamps creep me out...) ...and I think that anyone who knew me in person would know the difference between me being that (and btw, I spend at least half of my day outside, lol) ...I have a puppy and I draw anime of her, she looks a bit like "John" mixed with "Gin" in GNG Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, lol, It's okay, lol ;'D peace out...
Most people who use the word Otaku though are American and in the US we frequently use words that are insulting in other parts of the world in different ways. Example gay people who refer to themselves as "homo/queer" or black people calling themselves "nigga". Its just how Americans talk, I'm proud to call myself Otaku; I do live in a basement watch anime, play video games and eat ramen.
@fluffluver I don't have any anime themed ones but I do have a 27cm slim boy with an Aries model head named Nori. I'm planning to make him a Heart Pirate uniform from One Piece and Wizard's costume from Angelic Layer!
I got an obitsu head from a friend who went to japan, but poor little girl has no eyes yet since I can't find the correct way to stick'em into her face, they come in a temporary tattoo-like sheet, but they can't be glued as tattoos, do you know a way to stick em correctly? I'll be so glad if you help me!
yep those can easily be done with water on paradox the offical obitsu site who junkyspot whole orders from actually shows how to place them on. personally i never mess with them. but there is photos online with step by step process i really should show that method someday how i do it the only thing i do advise is still sealing it with msc so its a tad harder to accidently remove scratch or anything else to the eyes
well theres a wide way into getting one i know junkyspot does take money orders but you need to send a email to the owner ahead of time if you cant paint one yourself on the forums their are a array of people who customize and paint their own dolls you can see some of my other videos over face painting
<333 I'm in love. Question! Are there specified places where they can air bursh the make-up etc on for you? I want this plain haruka head to look beautiful, but I have a feeling I'll mess it up D; (is totally new to this stuff)
i would look for a face-up artist to get make up done. you always want to check out feedback of any person you commission to do so and get a time frame for them
some of the small ones come where you can have already rooted hair is is sarron i belive which is externly silky and shiney. if you have someone root it by hand or do it yourself i always suggest using the same
do you have a Flickr account? or an account somewhere where I can see pic's of your doll/s? I love this vid and now on obitsu's ( I'm still against changeing a pullip body to an obitsu just for the poseableity though)
yep just type in datumzine for the flickr. they are great dolls to play with. i am barely loading pics onto my flickr since i recently figured out how to use it
these dolls range anything from 23cm-60cm so so the smallest are right at the bratz size and the largest are about a good 24inch. you can place bratz heads ""the small one"" onto this body as well i would recoment checking out the junkyspot site. if you look in the forum they have tons of owner pics and that and the group is always helpful with suggestions ^_^
I cant wait 2 get my first obtisu. By the way,Cookie is so cute. :3
