  • Just had some yesterday for lunch, and gonna have some for dinner tonight

  • DAMN IT I MISS LIVING IN TEXAS

  • Not true....look it up online.

  • Its only in Texas that's why u never heard of it

  • @eprescott417 They have a couple in Louisiana. One in Baton Rough, i know for a fact, but that's all of the ones i know of out of Texas

    .

  • That looks good... never heard of Whataburger though.

  • LET"S DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I sure miss Whataburger!!! My favorite place to eat whether its morning or anytime! Hell, now I live up here in the cold and there's nothing!

  • this came up in my mind with the new collectionable cups

  • Damn.... haven't had a Whataburger in years. It's hell being a Yankee.

  • What a burger C-C-C-C-COMBOBREAKER

  • shit looks really gross

  • I discovered Whataburger after hearing some Air Force dependant kids from El Paso talk about that's what they were going to eat first when they got back to Texas from Italy, where I also was a dependant in 1955. When I came to Texas to whats was Carswell Air Force Base I started eating Whataburgers and I haven't ever stopped, as a matter of fact I had a double-double with onion rings today and iced tea. Best burgers ever!

  • I could go for a double whataburger, and a chocolate malt. Think that was the best part about living in South Texas.

  • @bileeckh ooh yeah!! South Texas, there is good food there specially in the McAllen area

  • I'll stick to In-N-Out Burger!

  • mel tillis is cool...

  • Yes, you do pay extra for lettuce and tomato. That's why a Justaburger is cheaper than a Whataburger Jr. The only difference is the WBJ has lettuce and tomato.

  • whataburger is the shit. Only fast food other than chickfilla i will eat. The company is just like me, Texan to the bone. American by birth ....Texan by the grace of God.

  • Talking about burger joints, The best dairy queens are in Texas. Their burgers and other things are ten times better than dairy queens outside of Texas. Wher ekse cab you get a beltbuster or a hungerbuster but Texas!

  • Grew up in hometown of Whataburger Corpus Christi and man i always stop and get one when i head home.

  • LOL... never knew that stuttering could make you rich. I stutter myself and really hate myself for it, it is so hard to live with it... Mel Tillis (you're my idol)

  • @aalsuwaidi2010 Don't hate yourself for something you can't control.

  • There are a select few Whataburgers in Oklahoma. I'm about to have a tasty burger.

  • Just finished a Whataburger. Mmmmmm.

  • If I saw that date at the bottom right, it said 1980, and then judging the film contrast and quality , it looked to be very early 80s

  • thank god i live in texas fuck white castle fuck in and out burger whataburger is the shit

  • @wa11pon33

I never really understood why Whataburger never moved / branched out of Texas.

I love What-A-Burger ... and hell yeah it sure does beat White Castle , Burger King and puts shame to Mc Donnalds lol.

  • @joe24021991 I really wish they DID branch out. There are some good local burger chains here in Seattle, but I'd also like to have Whataburger. They're VERY good, much better than fried McDonald's burgers or incredibly bland Wendy's burgers or microwaved (but at least broiled) Burger King/Hungry Jack burgers...

  • @joe24021991

The Texas thing is a misnomer. Whataburgers restaurants can be found in the following states: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Lousiania, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia & Florida. In my state we have several Whataburger restaurants and I love them. LOL

  • fuck Mc donalds now... Hawaii need this! NOW!

  • hhhhwwada burgerrrr

  • man ive always wanted to try a whataburger.everytime me and my family go to texas i always tell my dad "lets go try those whataburger burgers",and he says yes,but we always forget.

  • I actually think it's pretty progressive that they chose a man with a disability as their spokesman.

  • ha ha,mel is precious! i love the guy.Had a chance to meet him about 20 years ago.we had a nice chat.He was as real and charming as you would imagine. We had some frog legs at my house and did a little jam too

  • Makes me want to go get some Whataburgers right fuckin' now...

  • @CitySkin09 "Makes me want to go get some Whataburgers right fuckin' now..."

Too bad I can't have any. We had Whataburger restaurants in the state I live, but then they all closed down with the downturn of the economy.

I was saddened and pissed! I loved the food at Whataburger and I want one right now!

  • @Watcher3223 -- That's messed up pal. The economy everywhere seems to be putting a damper on all the good shit that we love so much. I'd be pissed too if they all closed down in my state too.

  • #2 with cheese and jalapenos! THE BEST!

  • BEST FOOD EVER!

  • this corporation is exploiting the stuttering of Mel Tillis for their financial gain. Shame! but funny hahahaha oh i love it

  • Look at 51 sec. Notice that the kid is all smiley, but as he turns away he is like "ahh fuck why am I working in this shit hole?"

  • @10ecboy Ecboy; My girlfriend worked at the first Whataburger that opened in Odessa, TX. She told me when Mel was coming to promote this Whataburger. I went there, met and talked with him and Saw him several times again there in Odessa at the Silver Saddle Club, and another night club off the Andrews Hwy. He let me play and sing in his band at both places and treated me as his equal...just another American that loves everybody with a heart. Mel's a good person to know. You'd have to meet him.

  • @Travisab1 I agree. He used to come by here whenever he played in town, or even nearby. He loved my wife's fried chicken (and maybe my wife, I dunno). The band parked the bus out front and sometimes they gave me the keys while they were getting legs & thighs from my wife. I durn near wrecked the thing once or twice.

Nice guy, and the stuttering wasn't an act.

  • Miss the hell outta this man.

  • gotta love mmmmmel tttttillis

  • nobody can replace Whataburger the best whataburger are best

  • I remember whataburger from living in florida. There was one in pensacola.

  • Bet they taste REAL good Mamma MwaaHahahaha sssssss

  • I bet they taste good, they should with a rich research group sponsering them SwRI Southwest Research Group LoL they must taste good.

  • Give me a thumbs up if you also think patty melt is the shit

  • Whataburgers are the best burgers. Why? Because everything there is cooked to order. FRESH! FRESH! FRESH! 24 hours a day. It's 3 am and I am hungry. Im going to get me a Triple meat triple cheese all the way with grilled onions and jalapenos and add a chocolate shake and a lemon or strawberry pie. Oh yeah! Don't forget my large order of onion rings. ALL cooked fresh to go! Best place to eat after the bar closes up and you need to sober up some. LOL!

  • I love whataburger. They are good burgers.

  • number 2 with cheese and mayo intead of musterd and dont forget to whatasize the fries

  • @gonzo361 try a double double with fries and a coke with a large chocolate shake at in n out...you wont be disappointed....

  • makes me crave a burger right now...a fur burger...

  • Ah man! This old commercial is so hilarious. Especially da second one where Mel stutters and the workers try unsuccessfully to correct him. It brought back memories and knocked me to da floor laughing.

  • I'm stuck in Connecticut and can't go to Whataburger anymore. It's hell.

  • best burgers ever

  • Mel gotta stutter ? Now I get it... XD!!!

  • Learn to spell, you inbred fuck.

  • What are you, 12? Go back to whacking it to pokemon, you dingleberry fuck.

  • We love You Mel. Greatest country legend.

  • The last time (And only time) I've had Whataburger was... 5 or 6 years ago, when on a vacation to Arizona. I need more of it. ; w ;

  • MMMMM double meat double cheese whata burger w/ bacon and picante sauce!

  • this guy stole his whole schtick from a 1940's cartoon pig.

  • These commercials are brilliant.

  • wow....I never knew he did these!

  • I live in Indiana & really miss What A Burger & Krystal.

  • After more than 40 years the Whataburger near me sadly got turned into a Filibertos. Now I will have to drive farther to get one, but I will.

  • whats a filibertos?

  • I think they would have done fine in central Florida if they had just chosen good high-traffic locations and advertised. Every one in my area of Tampa Bay was in an out-of-the-way landlocked corner, hard to get to in busy traffic. Couldn't they target the center of a large lot at a busy mall? And I never saw a single commercial on TV for them. Every time I ate there I'd see more employees than customers. I think they fell victim to their own poor planning. They had McDonald's beat by far!

  • What-A-Burgers are the best burgers I ever had

  • @GigglesTheHedgehog been there tried it dont like it...try in n out next time your in california you can not even begin to imagine how much better the burgers are there...

  • I'm angry... my local whataburger is closing on may 31st! Now where am I gonna get a good burger after work [as in good burgers for the somewhat honorable proletariat] ?

  • Me too! They simply did not have good locations in Central Florida and no advertising so there wasn't enough business to keep them running. At least we still have Steak n Shake. I'll miss Whataburger.

  • yep. Thank God for steak n' shake! What makes me happy is that my local SnS is actually on the county-wide bus line, and it's open 24-7. And it's just as cheap.

  • Steak n Shake is my favorite. Whataburger was my second favorite. Still, the W had a great variety of other meals like great chicken strips and the wonderful, blistery fried apple pies like McDonald's stopped serving years ago. They had nice breakfast meals, too.

  • I like this, back to the basics and to the point....and juicy, too.

  • "I'm gonna order a whataburger with cheese, a whataburger without cheese, a whataburger with double cheese, some french fries, some more french fries, another whataburger with double cheese!"

  • and whataburger never skimps on c-c-c-c-cocks

  • hey, my dad stutters and you don't know how much he suffered from people like you, making fun of people who can't help stuttering... look at your own self ....I'm sure you aren't perfect!

  • I'm making fun of whataburger commercials, not people who stutter, you fucking olive loaf.

  • Oh, I'm so very very sorry. I offer you my sincerest appologies, Mr. Noisepuppet. Please forgive me and may God bless you.

  • Dude, don't worry about it! I am just being obnoxious.

  • Ive seen some funny comment arguments but damn.

  • shit the is the funniest one yet!!! XD

  • what state has what-a-burger

  • TEXAS! whataburger was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and is a southern tradition

i know for a fact that texas, oklahoma, new mexico, arizona, florida, louisiana, alabama and georgia have them

  • Whataburger won't come to New England, so I pretty much want to die. I still would even if they were here, but the absence of Whataburger certainly compounds it.

  • Y'all are making me hungry, knock it off.

  • Typical piece of crap euro trash response. Keep your comments and yourself on that side of the pond.

  • Only the intelligent individuals use the "f" word like that, huh?

  • Idiots say fucking retards.

  • If Mel Tillis tells you to do something YOU DO IT!

  • Im hungry!!

  • whataburger is the shit! YOU BETTER AXE SOMEDAMNBODY jajajaja

  • Watching this commercial just put me in the mood to go to Whataburger and cheat on my diet.

  • I have lived in NYC (from Houston) since 1988 and I remember this commercial!

    Whataburger is second to none!!!!!!!

  • Whataburger beats McDonalds any time.

  • You got that right.

They don't call them "Whataburgers" for nothing.

You do have to wait a few minutes as everything is cooked to order, but it's always worth it and you enjoy a meal that doesn't make you feel like you swallowed pieces of masonry a half hour or so later.

  • @360whiplash Whataburger is WAY better than McDonald's... We don't have any in Seattle, but there are comparable places like "Fatburger" and "Kidd Valley"...

  • @shmuli9 I think they're only in Texas.

  • @360whiplash There are a few outside of Texas, here and there, but they ARE most comon in Texas, a US state that has a population (and size) greater than many countries...

  • @shmuli9

Arizone, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Lousiania, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia & Florida.

Been eating there since I was a kid and I love it and it's one of my favorite fast food restuarants.

  • wow I've never heard of a whataburger, but these uniforms look surprisingly like the Hardees uniforms I used to have to wear many years ago, lol, brings back memories.

  • Mel Tillis and his stuttering. I like how they did the second commercial

  • lol look at the cashier guy at 0:50 his smile slowly drops to a frown

  • Or how about the "cooks" girl who is apparently trying to win an Academy Award as she's handing the customer his bag.

  • "..you never pay extra for lettuce and tuhmaytuh."

  • I love Mel Tillis. Whataguy! :)

  • Is this the same fella who does the Whataburger voiceovers nowadays?

  • Every now and then there is no substitute for a hot, fresh WHATABURGER!

  • they only have these in texas and oklahoma right?

  • I know there are a couple in Louisiana

  • its in 10 states from arizona all the way to florida

  • Joe, I have eaten at Whataburgers in Kingman, AZ, Las Cruces, NM, I forget the name of the city but it was south of Oklahoma City off of I-35, Bossier City, LA and Pennsacola, FL. Frio, First Science Officer.

  • This makes me hungry!

  • i use too think that it was (Waterburgr) lol.

  • Does anyone have Mel Tillis singing the Whataburger jingle? "Whataburger, whataburger, just what a burger should be. The unbeatable, unbelievable, the bigger, better burger, Whataburger!"?

  • That would be hard for him to sing/ say.....

  • all about number 5 with jalapenos

  • I love Whataburger!

  • number 2 w/cheese and bacon,toasted buns..my favorite burger

  • best tasting burger...need some in Ca.

  • Used to eat at the Whataburger in Flour Bluff, when I was stationed at the C.C. NAS. Good burgers.

  • wow..

  • Moved like a FOOL..no sunshine here in this "whataburgerless" state ...Still miss em.. " I never saw such a beautiful sight as the big orange "W" up ahead on the right - I thought I could forget you and never miss you, but thank God and Volkswagen were here" ( hope to be back someday) (from a Whataburger addict) SHORT COURSE IN TEXAS GREATEST FOOD HISTORY: WHATABURGER KINCAIDS HAMBURGERS ANGELOS BBQ DOS GRINGOS CHIMICHANGA DAIRY KING TAFT (there are 1000's more)

by far the best chain burger !!!

  • houston summers of 1976 and 1977-whataburger and Prince's drive ins-yum!!

  • Great memories yep it was the early 80's when good ol Mel did them Whataburger Commercials. The Mel Tills Commericals are my favorite Whataburger Commercials of all time. It was very catchy how he said Whataburger at the end and yes there were several more made with Mel probably haven't made their way across You Tube yet. It made me remember that name after seeing that commercial as a Kid. It was the early 80's when the Mel Tills Commercials were around

  • funny though he never stuttered when he sanged.

  • did he really stutter or was it just acting?...

  • he really does have a stuttering problem, but it's better than it used to be

  • actually according to his daughter Pam..he stammers :-)

  • IS THIS REAL?

  • what year were these? I seem to remember these vaguely from when I was little.

  • Most likely from the 1980s..... they did have a copyright date on the videos, but I couldn't make them out.

  • I think it said 1987,I could be wrong.

  • whataburger rules!!!

  • WATCH MY WHATABURGER RAP

  • I WISH THERE WAS ONE IN N.O.

  • I LUV WHATABURGER

  • k he is precious..when the commercial first starts there a second or two where his mouth keeps moving but no talk...now I know he stuttered lol but it just looks like they bleeped out or somethin...like at 36 seconds of the second commercial..

  • okay they made that all wrong its the lettuce tomato pickle and then the onions first.
