I don't know what kind of rap you're basing your opinion on, but all genres have their ups and downs, their mainstreams and their undergrounds, rap does require talent whether you believe it does or does not. You can't say that this music is completely different from rap.

That's my point, his vocals are so distracting and dissonant that I can't even enjoy the instrumentals. Don't get me wrong, their instrumentalists are GODS at what they do. But that damn vocalist just kills it with is bad stanza breaks and lack of Alliteration flow.

Until his vocals are cut from the track, this isn't 100% music. It's music with vocal tracks laid over it (Rap, Hip Hop) but in this case instead of machine beats we have instruments.
