its sad that we can all learn from you a regular patient much better then all those "pro" personals that claim to be very understandable and you know . i just have learnt from you now that my ticks are some kind of thought block !
Don't be so aggressive, please. Now I knwo, what peole might think about me, because I am the same like you - people said, I was insane in the brain, because I was so split concerning my personality. It`s so scary, when you talk about "the monster" and than talking to your cat in this completely diffenent voice, I just thought, you were talking to one of your self, before I saw, that it was a cat.
Did't you tell the monster, that it was also victim?
I just found your vids, and I wanted to say thank you for posting your heart and soul out here. I'm starting EMDR and I'm having a very frustrating time with it. It was just nice for me right now to see someone NOT presenting it as some quick flash miracle cure. You're very endearing and I hope that you're finding the right way to work through these things. I know how these memories are how strong you've had to be yadda yadda I'm getting boring and mushy so in conclusion, you rock.
Hi. Just came across your video's while researching Steve Levenkron. As I get the impression you really like psychological research to help yourself, you might find Bowlby's Attachment Theory interesting; the 'impulsive/ compulsive cutting' you mentioned clicks with Avoidant/ Ambivalent Attachment. I've found 'Child Abuse and Neglect' by David Howe really good at relating attachment theory to abuse. Also, a better therapy approach for you would likely be relationship based to enable growth.
One comment and a necessary introduction: I'm Chad an MFT student, studying PTSD to eventually work with war veterans. I've been watching your videos and find them very helpful, so thanks. In this video, it was very shocking to see you go through a change. I don't want to analyze too much or be patronizing. Just wanted to say, it seems the monster came out. For example, in 3 videos I never heard you cuss, then here in the last minute, "FUCK". You taught me that "the monster" can help.
Fuck you YouTube!!! I am to go through EMDR soon and I see this the same as you NO HELP… Yet my therapist admits being uneasy doing it with me as she does not know how I will react or respond. THANK YOU for your videos PLEASE keep making them...
I just had my first session of EMDR yesterday, and it's so powerful!!! This vid makes me feel so fortunate that I don't have the dissociation part of it to make it harder. Anyway, I enjoy your rants, and thank you for them.
For anyone who wants to talk about "this is like Scientology," fuck off, you clearly don't understand this
ps. so, youtube, how kind of you to let us upload videos every once in a while after the fiftieth or so try, thats so great! now would you kindly fix all the other crap thats not working?! -.-
frankly, i was surprised your therapist even started emdr with you considering you only have a month. you say two years of no abuse like its a long time, i dont think it is, if you compare it to the time you did suffer through it. i dont want to put you down, but for me its been four years away from home and almost three years of therapy now and i´m still not done with working through everything. it takes a loooong time, you have to give it that time.
Weren't you the girl who played Bella in the movie Twilight? You look like her.

Most of mine don't want to cooperate either... they won't let my therapist even do EMDR.

She tries to let the monster stay inside yet on Halloween the monster always has the power

This sounds strangely like what they have you do in Scientology.

@DearFirebird Lol, just so you know I just screamed insanely loud, waking my roommates. I'm weird.
But yeah, I made this like thursday, happy monday, it only took me the whole weekend. Fuck youtube.
I wish I had years for therapy, tomorrow is my last session, and I'm definitely not taking it well.
I'm sorry work was rough, hope you have sweet dreams dear.
