  • whats the range on this heli?

  • I once had a Century Spirit helicopter but it was so supsceptable to damage that I could not get enough practice in before it was damaged beyond repair. I now have the Micor Chinook that I picked up for about £26; a flight of which is on my Youtube channel. Although not really an out door machine due to it's radio control being in the infa red range I find it an amazing aircraft and so damage resistant I can get large amounts of practice in without having to repair it.

  • Thanks, I will not be getting those airy blades for mine. The blades break way too easy and it is probably part for new parts. I am in development of my own blades for mine. I found a material at the hardware store that does not break.. A pair of tin snips and trace out a default blade and cut it out and install them and so far my ch 46 can fly but only up to about a meter off the ground. If I hit anything the blades have no damage. If I figure it all out I will post it

  • Hi, the only thing to watch with blades that don't break is that you can strip the teeth of the drive gears! far more costly. For my Co-Comanche I did not fit Xtream blades until I stopped crashing it LOL if Xtream made blades for the CH46 we would all be happy

  • Hi mike, thanks again, I did not think of that..the force would have to go somewhere.. I have some material that works and breaks too..I might work on that instead

  • Hi mike,Thanks for your post on the CH 46.. Your post are the best I have seen.. I actually jumped, rappelled and Spie rigged out of real CH 46 helos in the USMC. your video shop work is greatly apprechiated..I hope to show mine off like you did!!

  • great vidios, after crashing my chinook 38 many times I watched all of youre vidios, and made some adjustments. Now I can pretty much throttle up the heli, let go of the remote and the heli will hover beautiful.

  • Great news

  • this is hard to fly

  • Hey how do you take off the fuselage?? I am trying to take it off and adjust the servo links to make it more controllable. I'm also trying to reduce the violent vibrations that the heli does when the throttle is just at about 1/2 stick.

  • Remove the top bars under each rotor turret, then remove the rear wheels, pull out while supporting the frame.

Remove all blades. Then flex the body over the wheel mounts and withdraw the innards through the body

  • Hi, just thought, you will need to disengage the bars inside the body each side of the rotor turrets! these clip into little cups on the inside of the body, make sure to put these back correctly or you will get lots of vibration

  • Yes I did learn not to trust original construction! but I don't think I am a geek.

  • Excellent videos and your help for others is outstanding i am also a member on rcgoups com as i said before i had the 38 but could not get it to fly forward and sold it on, if you see my video's you will see that i had the walkera 400D and 400 but if you think the 38 had problems think again the 400D has a number of up-keep problems.

  • Thanks, very kind of you :-)

  • Sussexangle's responses to your reports are totally undwerwhelming! LOL!

  • Hahahahahah

  • Well you filmed is SA ;-)

  • Fabulous, but the bummer was the crash. I will have to look closely at my linkages now and like your tips about the swashes. 5 stars.

  • Hey Dave :-) nice to hear from you again! yes I found the factory glue on the linkages was very poor and have now re done it all! just imagine what would have happened if I had been nice and high!!!

    Thanks
