lol his health isn't 1 or 0 it's null. what if sense isn't able to read 0 hp. when's the last time you scanned something with 0 health? never. and without gameshark there's no way to scan anything with 0 hp. therefore there's no need for it to ever read 0. just because you use it and it reads 1 doesn't mean that it isn't 0. since 0 hp means he's already dead. and 1 hp means he can't die from steal. the only logical conclusion is that it's neither.

If an enemy starts the battle with 0 HP, he's invincible. Dealing damage to him will do nothing. Not that it matters, since Sephiroth is scripted to die at any command anyway. And Sense will read 0/0 HP. Please do your research next time.

When you do that, and you sense them, it will read 0/0 HP. If Sephiroth had 0 HP, the auto sense code used here would have read 0/0 HP. To sum it up: Sephiroth has 1 HP.

this video is fake. for starters the only limet available there is omnislash. u used brave. and also my friend rappidly bashed Circle before and did a normal attack on him and sephiroth didnt die because he then attacked with a normal attack. anyone who has a ff7 data saved near sephiroth. like i do. try it. but i guess you "could" have a more updated version. cuz the game had been edited 3 times. once when it went english (USA) w.e then when it went platenium and then finally when it went PS3

@slitheryjuggler94 It's the Nail Bat, which you get from the Temple of the Ancients. IIRC it's in the clock room, you have to let the second hand knock you down to the bottom.

the only way to lose this battle is to hack it so that either Sephiroth kills you, i think you can do this by haveing 1 hp as well but i'm not sure, doing this just puts you on the game over screen and you have to fight sepi all over again...SURPRIZE!!!

It isn't that you damage him or anything that " hurts " or " kills " sefiroth, this version of " sephiroth " was the clone which could manipulate cloud due to him having been injected with Jenova cells , this was basicly just Squaresoft showing how CLoud is now rid of him

(fyi the reason he has 1 / 0 hp is cos yer supposed to omnislash him and it was an easter egg sort of so the producers would " egg you on " to look every where for the level 4 limit break to find it in golden saucer :P )

What I find questionable is why was Braver the Limit technique? That battle was, as I understand it, there for one purpose: for those that never recieved Omnislash to be able to see it at least once. And I used to have save files without having it, and it was still the only option...wierd...

Well, according to the game script, Sephiroth will use his "Autodeath attack" even for Death Counter or Physical/Magical Counter. Even his HP will improve with cheats, he will counterattack with his death.. and the game force Cloud to counterattack if Sephy use his unique attack (the Cut that cause a % damage, so it can't kill you)

The script don't allow to lose this fight XD

I'm pretty sure his instant death code was added in the greatest hits version. The black label version (the one you could get maybe 10 years ago) didn't seem to have it, I distinctly remembered dieing in this fight.

I also had in a few choice gameshark codes at the time so that may have been it. It was around 6 or 7 years ago when this happened and the only code I remember having on was the one for max AP.

indeed it's true that he is programmed to die no matter what happens, but about two years ago, I let a friend of mine win the game with a save of mine. When he got to this part, he said "let's see what'll happen if I do nothing", and he didn't, we weren't aware at that he was programmed to die and he actually killed him when he attacked and I released that he used "row" and then it came and attack of 4.765 or something else and he died (Cloud hp at that time was lower)

Your right Garland he is scripted to die the second an action is done to him if you sense him he will die, if you steal from him he will die, i know i have done it. I have no idea why Square decided on this as its a loss of a great battle imo. Still im glad someome finally laid to the rest the fact he does have 1 HP. Nope. If you hesitate to attack, Sephiroth attacks, taking away some obscene fraction of your hp but NOT killing you and Cloud does a regular counter attack, even if he DOESN'T have the materia equipped.
