@mattpovey1987 It was terrible. He should have been in the main event from the beginning considering he was basically the hottest star on the market (besides Austin) due to the Montreal Screwjob. They shouldn't have waited so long for him to have his first match in WCW. And he should have been a hero against the nWo like Sting (really the nWo should have been on its way out never to return again). WCW ruined his character, just like they ruined plenty of guys characters.

Piper comes out to save Goldberg and then covers him. Then Bret wins, without even making the pin. Seriously, that may have been THE biggest botch ever. Even the genius of Bobby Heenan struggled to cover that one up on commentary.

I loved the concept of having all these former WWF Superstars as heels..They did an awesome job at it too if I may. The story lines were great too. @schlong19 not necessarily, if WCW was still around then WWE would still have some competition. therefore, they would have to step up their game like they did in the late 90s, thus making it way better than it is now. TNA is trying to be WCW, but it's failing miserably. the whole reason WWF was as good as it was is because they were trying to one up WCW. but since they have really no competion, it's all wrestling fans have to watch, so they can do basically whatever they want.

This would have worked if WCW had been a stable company. I was interested. All of the major belts were held by these guys. Goldberg and Sting could have been the allies for WCW. Just something to keep the fans interested. Lots of things caused WCW to go to the shitter, but this was actually one of the few positives. Instead, Goldberg shortly after injured himself with that Limo and Bret Hart had to retire because of his concussion. Scott Hall still had some demons at this point too.

Believe it or not guys WCW's rating were actually higher than WWF's at the time NWO was around. Back before the WWE name change. I was one of their biggest fans and I never helped WWF with ratings. NWO bLACK AND wHITE 4 Life. It wasn't the same when they went to the WWF. dAMN i MISS THOSE DAYS. TNA kinda reminds me of the old WCW in a way..

@Pojko Lol..I remember calling WCW " Wheel Chair Wrestling"..Seriously though, I was a huge fan because of the NWO. They had me sold. I loved the concept of having all these former WWF Superstars as heels..They did an awesome job at it too if I may. The story lines were great too. It was because of the NWO' s major success that DX was formed in the WWE. Vinnie Mac was desperate to get his ratings back..The rest is history.

I was in the news media and it pains me to say WCW would not grant us an interview(WCW fan here) but that night we interviewed Jerry The King,SABLE and Road Warrior Animal then I went home and watched both shows ! @USAFDeathFromAbove The NWO was a good and original idea. But soon it was all they had, which is why half the roster was in the NWO and they remade it over and over again. But the WWF didn't rely on DX like that, and kept building and promoting new people, as well as using former WCW stars who were fed up with that company's crap (Jericho, Radicalz).

TNA is trying to be WCW, but it's failing miserably. the whole reason WWF was as good as it was is because they were trying to one up WCW. but since they have really no competion, it's all wrestling fans have to watch, so they can do basically whatever they want.

This would have worked if WCW had been a stable company. I was interested. All of the major belts were held by these guys. Goldberg and Sting could have been the allies for WCW. Just something to keep the fans interested. Lots of things caused WCW to go to the shitter, but this was actually one of the few positives. Instead, Goldberg shortly after injured himself with that Limo and Bret Hart had to retire because of his concussion. Scott Hall still had some demons at this point too.

WWE has been getting terrible rattings and PPV buyrates for years as they steadily decrease. Vince made millions mainly because of the puppets who went out to wrestle. Hogan was one of the few to actually cut those strings and try to dethrown the puppet master (WCW becoming a force) and now that TNA is on the go maybe wrestling can come back.
