  • A funny fact: The d ate this was updated, that's my sister's birthday. :P But anyway, cute dress.

  • i love the dress!!! its so beautiful... thanks for the idea.. will make one for new year!! aw!!! blessings to you... :)

  • the only thing i didnt like was that the zipper was used as the straps, but thats probably just me being fussy,

  • SOooo Pretty. <3_<3

  • I have all this cotton material (big enough to make a dress) so what should i do with it, should i make a skirt or a dress?

  • u make it look so easy, you are very creative. :D

  • Soooo going to try this! Thanks so much <3

  • YOU NEVER FAIL TO IMPRESS ME. :D

  • How do u keep the zipper from unzipping?

  • You are so talented!

  • as a design asst. this was made wrong in so many ways...yet it still looks right on you. lol.

  • @diamondsontherock OMG I seriously will NEVER understand her haters; Sorry, but who are to come over here and tell her she did it "Wrong" she came up with this (or was inspired off of something else or whatever) she can do it however the hell she wants to. I'm sure you're a great Design Assistant, and I understand you have your personal preferences, but that's no reason to tell her she's not doing it "right". Kthanksbye.

  • @diamondsontherock I know a lot of design assist who can't sew ^_^" just saying LOL but thanks.

  • @SecretLifeOfaBioNerd Oh no I didn't mean you can't sew, =) trust me some of the big names u hear don't even know how to sew..I meant the way you draft your pattern and instructions is incorrect =) but for beginners, you got your own way and as long as it works who cares right. =) stay blessed!

  • Nice dress...

Ah, why I don't have sewing machine? Why? Why? :'(

  • Just finished making this! Thanks for making this tutorial, it's such an amazing dress (:

  • Im thinking of doing this type of dress this year, but instead of using a zipper all the way maybe just in the front of the dress then a black piece of fabric or something for straps?

  • wow i love!!! the fabric :)

  • wow, your really talented! where did you learn to sew like that?

  • Where do you find your fabric i love the desgins.

  • i can't find the fabric you used ;_;

did you buy it online or in their store?

  • do you have to measure just a little bit more than your actual measurement, since you are sometimes folding the fabric over to sew?

  • @MiniLove6 i made my dress a few weeks ago. the answer is no, you don't have to. for me, i tried some scrap knit i already had to make sure i didn't need to add seam allowance. because knit stretches, you will be fine.

  • also, i guess it depends on what look you're going for, but for the skirt part, couldn't you just gather it with large stitches instead of making pleats?

  • i LOVE zippers! i make it my fashion trademark. I am definitely gonna make this, thank you!

  • i like the dress

  • I'm having a ball watching your vids. This dress is super cute. It's sorta cold right now, but I'm gonna try this this weekend! Thanks for sharing.

  • omg, i misread that link in the description box and went to loveSWING instead of loveSEWING. that was stupid of me because it is such an awkward website !

  • omg this helped so much! im only 11 and thx to u i now know how 2 make a zipper dress!!!!!11

  • Wow you're amazing at this!! You know, you should create a piece inspired by Princess Tamina's outfits from prince of Persia!! That'd be so cool for Halloween!!

  • How to make a layered dress hosted by my two ducks ! Please come see it, it's my first video and I really want to help people make their own clothes like Secretlifeofabionerd did to me ! Thanks in advance and hope you'll like it !

  • The only problem I had with these directions is the allowance in the skirt for a butt!! If anyone has any semblance of a bottom you must add more to the width! :)

  • o my gosh you inspire me soooo much!!!

  • LOVE IT!

  • this is so cute!

  • Wow I was surprised when you used the zippers as your dress straps so creative

  • i love your videos the things you design are soo cutee. i also like to design and create things and i was wondering where you get all of your fabrics that you use in the videos. Also are they expensive?? please answer :)

  • i made this! and it looks kind of cute...

not as cute as yours and it does not look as nice on me like yours but i still like it..

i just give myself props for sewing anything....

especially that i have only been sewing for 6 months..lol

  • hi, can you make a tutorial on how to make a romper? ;D

  • I live on Oahu, where can I buy cheap stretchy knit fabric??

  • @meespresso fabric mart by don quijote or go to walmart at the fabric section

  • @RGTFgirl Thanks! Walmarts section is dead now :/ so ill try Fabric Mart. I've only ever bought hula skirt fabric there though. >.< new adventure.

  • ***** :)

  • Will this work with a different type of material? I have a nice blue, almost linen type of material, probably cotton, but I'm not sure if it will fall the same way.

  • Okay so I made your darling dress but I encountered a few problems. The biggest problem being that the dress is almost impossible to get on?! ah. what should I do?

  • @Lleahbird perhaps you could make the zipper V-line go deeper into the waist.. that was you could literally zip it open. :P

    Or sew a discreet side-zipper.

  • How long have you been sewing? I really can't wait to be this good!!

  • HEY

Just wondering what happened to your older videos? I was planning to watch some again and try making some tops haha. But they're allll gone? T_T Can you upload those again ?? You're so talented hun!

  • Its very beautiful but I have two questions

! is it okay if the zipper is plastic? thats the only one that matched the fabric

Is there a way to make the dress proofyer? Can you use tule ?

  • ur awesome i super love u!!

  • this is so cute(;

  • Once I saw this dress, I knew I HAD to try it. I just completed mine and it looks really cute. I may even make another one with a different print. Thanks for the tutorial!

  • i have a question, would it be possible to do a tutorial on how to take an ugly dress and turn it in to some thing different, because i have this dress that is pale yellow, with flowers on it and it does not have much shape at all and i want to make it in to something completely different, if you have any ideas or suggestions it would be helpful thank you, and love your videos

  • i adore this dress <3

  • soooooooooooooooo cute! i <3 it! i needed a spring dress for a party and if i did this dress w/ like a nice silk fabric or chiffon fabric, it would b awesome! thanks soooooooooooooo much! i LUV U!

  • your are amazing!!

  • @tukiexxx **

  • I'm very sensitive when metals come in contact my skin. My skin is super sensitive it starts to rash! do you think a lining will do the trick? specially in the bust area..?

  • @katrinadawn1 There are some zippers that have flaps in the back, so the zipper shouldn't touch your skin. You could always get a plastic one... They're look kind of stupid, but you might find one that LOOKS metal.

  • your hair is so cute here. can you please do a hair tut?

  • i love this dress but where can i found fabric for cheap and i'm from canada so if you know shop from here that sales fabric for cheap please inform me!

  • @lovelysweet09 Hello whiled I saw looking at this video I hope you dont mind that im responding but I found my fabric at fabric village Its really inexpensive( depending on the fabric) and there are so many

    wish me luck

  • @cbunny0890 LOL GLUCK GLUCK your way!! I know it can be easy epic fail. The zipper is hard to tackle but u just gotta go in with a + tude. It took awhile for the zipper too!!

  • I love this! but I'm stuck in a town that doesn't sell knits! so annoyed! and we only have one fabric store!!!

  • maybe you can order it from places like ebay and more cool ones with low prices you can search for on google

  • @katrinadawn1 Bummer!! Where are you located? We don't have a lot of stretch fabrics either here in the UAE. Hope you find some!

  • Oh, this is adorable! I love that fabric choice!

  • must make this dress however i only pink leopard fabric so it won't match maybe i can use my blue slik fabric

  • as soon as i have no more school im going to make this

love your tutorials you definitely gave me some inspirations of my own

  • lovely :)

  • when she had the top half of the dress done i though it wuld make a lovely bag if u placed a linner in side and did the bottom up with another bit of fabric. the zipper wuld make a nice detail to it.

  • That is a so creative summer dress !!

  • One word: Cute!

  • its adorable

  • great ideaaa:)

  • wow!! that's so cute!! too bad i don't have a good working sewing machine... T.T

  • @fruitsushi you could prob sew it by hand depending on how well you are at hand stitching. i'm not the best but if you do end up wanting to hand sew it, a running back stitch for the zipper and bodice and to pleat the skirt. and to attach the skirt to the bodice a whip stitch would be best. hope you can make the dress :)

  • This is such an amazing creation! I'd love to do it but I can't sew, lol.

Do you have videos showing/explaining very basic techniques (i.e. "edgestitching")? I'd love to learn!

  • your dress is SO SO CUTE!!! LOVE IT!! you are amazing and fabulous..thank you for the vid!!!

  • hey, do u serge ur stitches?

  • @orangedelivery I do at home, but not in videos. some people don't have a sewing machine let alone a serger. Also, if u watch then and u have a serger, you definitely would know how to do this w/ a serger. I mean that thing is hard to learn.

  • adorable! <3 it! :)

  • wow!!<3<3 super CUTEE! :D<3

  • is it possible if you can zoom up closer to the clothing? thanks

  • @pinkie24 I am doing all I can to make my vids better, but honestly zooming up will blur the clothing. Please try to understand with what I am providing.

  • This is so cute, thank you! I am definitely going to make this for spring/summer :) I am grateful for your time spent on the tutorials you make, they brighten my day :)

  • that dress is so pretty!! using the zipper as straps is a very good idea!

  • I love this! To bad I can't sew....maybe I'll learn and recreate my wardrobe for spring.

  • Your video editing improved a lot~ ^^

    5stars!~

  • @Cheri04 heheh it's not that the have improved. Same basic editing skills I have had before, except I am just spending more time on editing, which sometimes I feel like I could be doing other things, but I just love editing a vid so much LOL!

  • CREATIVE

  • that is sooo cute!! too bad my boyfriend wont let me wear something like that.... its 'too revealing'...lol

  • @MaiAngelsuperchild you let your boy friend control what you wear? O:
