Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Price, Aretha Franklin, Ruben Studdard, Luther Vandross, etc. These ppl were blessed to have the voices they have, and they realize where it came from. The audience is no indication as proof of 'her' live performance. Gospel music has drastically changed, and it's only getting worse. The fact of a secular artist singing at this funeral only proves my point. Her talent means nothing if she is simply out of order. Nice voice...wrong venue.
@HusbandandWifeShow I was in the choir so i can tell you for sure that she was singing live and also she went to school with pastor hawkins son jamie they are friends, so she came to sing to show her support to him when they show the audience you can see jamie and his wife sunny standing, she said i love you at the end because of her genuine love for jamie everyone one that was singing at the services had close ties to our family.

@SuperGOALdigger A jazz riff and a gospel riff are barely distinguishable. Kim Burrell has run every other line, including ad-lib the words of the song. They are both great covers. Can't say one is better than the other.

I've seen her scatting to Etta, giving "Endless Love" a brand new meaning, giving Chaka on soul train a "HOW YOU DOIN" with her perf. and gospel, OMG..her with Kelly Price and this tribute..I omgawwwwwd..Oh and ..she even got on stage with Patti Labelle at Essence and shine like a neon light in a dark room..lol..this woman is WOW!! @SuperGOALdigger A jazz riff and a gospel riff are barely distinguishable. Kim Burrell has run every other line, including ad-lib the words of the song. They are both great covers. Can't say one is better than the other.

Sing? That's what I do before I preach. Ledisi isn't singing. This is full -scale melodic production that kneeds my spirit and massages my emotions that I don't know whether to run or to try and dance or just jump. That last sentence was constructed poorly. I can't right one any better right now. Thank GOD for allowing this child to feed 'til we scream.

I'm not comparing this gifted woman to a donkey or anything, I'm just saying that gifts are given without repentance and you don't know how this performance or woman has touched the people. If only one person was saved or touched from this video it is worth it. How many of us can say that we have used our gifts and moved at least one person?

@sugabear1976 we as humans can be ridiculously hard on each other (CLEARLY) as if we are God Almighty Himself standing before the gates of heaven I walk with Jesus however, I am not perfect, neither are you or anyone else for that matter I don't know Ledisi but from one believer to another I can feel the presence of the lord within her performance it touched me and inspired me so that's where I am coming from, who would I be to say whether or not she lives a "Righteous" life and who DOES??

This woman is a SUPERSTAR vocalist. I've seen her scatting to Etta, giving "Endless Love" a brand new meaning, giving Chaka on soul train a "HOW YOU DOIN" with her perf. and gospel, OMG..her with Kelly Price and this tribute..I omgawwwwwd..Oh and ..she even got on stage with Patti Labelle at Essence and shine like a neon light in a dark room..lol..this woman is WOW!! Her and Jennifer Hudson did great with this song, but yes..Ledisi..OMG.J-Hud..stunned me..Ledisi made my butt cry with this.lol
