I'm supposed to get snow tomorrow night where I live. But I don't know if that will happen now since it's 39 degrees. I hate that. They predict that it will be hella cold for two weeks and it will be clear, then it will warm up and rain. That pisses me off.

Yeh Vancouver was bad at christmas last year. My uncle lives there and I spent last christmas there. Usually I find it has a pretty similar climate to UK, wet and cold with occasional snofall but I was shocked at the amount of snow there last year. Lovely place tho....love Vancouver to bits :). I got back to the UK a few weeks later to find this and then I had to go to Ufa in Russia with work for a month...I had virtually 4 months with none stop snow cover!!! lol

Well A1mint thats a load of bollocks. You should maybe perhaps try going to Italy or France for a taste of what they have to offer in terms of driving experiences. Getting cutoff without warning, forced to move out of the way of incoming traffic even if their side of the traffic lights are red etc. The UK has in all honesty some of the best drivers.

From my understanding, people in England are obsessed with driving faster than others and have all these little micro competitions.

That's a very bad idea with ice and snow. If people are hot headed, then there are likely problems with some people driving too slow and other angry people intentionally want to demonstrate aggressive behavior and leave them in the dust (snow).

Anyway, in Canada these are not major winter conditions at all.

Although it reminds me that a few years back when I phoned my cousin in London from here (NZ) after a big snow dump, and said that's brilliant, he said "You so obviously grew up in a country where the only snow is in the ski resorts and you don't have to get to work in it or be there when it turns to slush".
