Clapton usually makes it look so easy.....Great to see him really dig in....Also, it would be tough to keep up with Perkins......two legends for sure.
Why oo they call Mr. Clapton slowhand. I could maybe understand Clapton is God, but slowhand? What ever is slow about his guitar playing? Top five of all time, no question. Slowhand, Joe Walsh.
Great show which I saw 1st time around & then saw Eric about a month later. The last time I saw him really play pure blue. Why wasnt Albert Lee on the CP show? No disrespect to Eric, but Alberts a better country/blues player.
Mr. Perkins rocks! This is exactly what Elvis (And the Rolling Stones and The Beatles and every rocker We've seen was inspired by. God Bless Carl and all who Dance and Rock out. Eddie Cochrane and Buddy Holly and Robert Johnson (What a Johnson!}
My favorite Clapton performance ever. This is a textbook example of how to TEAR IT UP on guitar! It's so rare to see Eric rocking out like he does here.
The man needs to seriously do a whole album of this kind of music and forget the mellow pop stuff for once!
This is effin awesome!

I think Eric was trying to impress a great guitar player - Carl Perkins - a man he had admired for a very long time. Great video!!!
