dont use rocks for recording videos

  • no other choice of music could do it for this video!

  • A man should strive to hyhuhy not fight :D

  • why couldn't the shaolin monk just use his dim mak? why didn't he get the ko? why does this look faker than pro wrestling? kung fu fan boys are the worst

  • Both attack and retreat in straight lines until they run out of space and then stop??? Why not slip to the corner and counter. This would stop the endless running backwards and forwards. They both have good gymnastic skills, but this is NOT fighting. Neither close the distance to really have effective techniques and both throw strikes from too far away like in sport point sparring. The monk defiantly moves better then the more staccato TKD man.

  • @Sugarfoot108 dude this is fake, look at how they have the cameras set up to perfectly capture the spots. it's clear as day to me...

  • Do not keep comparing Martial Arts vs. Martial Arts... Do not keep comparing Americans to Chinese... Now, you can compare Martial Arts vs. Boxing...

  • @Imri11 Boxing IS a part of Martial Art, such as TKD, JKD, Jiu Jitsu, you name it. People are just comparing which art is better, which is very ignorant of them.

  • I totally agree with KungFu991... I am learning Martial Arts myself... It does not matter what style of Martial Arts you learn, it depends on the fighter. A Shaolin Monk could lose to an MMA fighter and a MMA fighter could lose to a Shaolin Monk. You all are just hating on Martial Arts, if you cannot respect any Martial Arts or even MMA then get out of the world... Martial Arts is what I do, and shut up all you haters, you dont know what your talking about stupid asses.

  • games have rules. ufc have rules, ufc is a game. ln street fight if you try to grab somebody by your two hands, your head will be wide open, l can twist your neck or stick my fingers in your eyes cause you a very serious injury or death. think again guys when you fight on the street and try act like a ufc fighter use your hands grab my knees or take me down, you don't die l will die situation l will chose to kill you and survie. PLEASE WAKE UP FROM UFC FANTACY GUYS!

  • @kwokfreeman1 most ufc fighters do have experience fighting on the streets. It's what made 'em become ufc fighters.

  • @MessageInBlood1 Anderson Silva with Taekwondo. GSP and Karate, Chuck Liddel Karate, Bas Rutten Taekwondo, Lyoto Machida Karate, Dan Hardy Taekwondo, etc etc. All the top fighters were once trained in Self Defense type martial arts. That is why they are the top. Because they trained realistically and not just for sports.

  • @hazza3 yea i agree...in fact that's wat i said. now tell this to the other guy. lol

  • @MessageInBlood1 Yeah sorry, i was reading another comment when i made that reply -_-.

  • @hazza3 lol, those aren't self defense martial arts, they are tournament martial arts. there is nothing reality based about not punching to the face in tkd...

  • @newerest1 ????? Did you even read what i said. Those UFC fighters trained in Self Defense martial arts before training for sports.

You're aware that Taekwondo isn't a sport, but WTF IS a sport for Taekwondo.

  • Ummm Bruce lee did MMA he combined different styles of martial arts and created his own form.

  • Lol @ you guys talking crap about MMA fighters...the actual footage shows that the monk landed 0 hits and missed all his "flashy and dazzling" pointless movements.IF ANYTHING, this shows that MMA fighter would have had this guy in a submission by the first kick.

  • Comment removed

  • Монах красава!

  • This is the real fighter who loves his martial art and stick to it

not like those faggots who call themselves MMA fighters , fuck u, u r not representing any kind of martial art , u r just stupid motherfuckers who want some money .

  • @YourTheBlame2 Bruce Lee was not the father of MMA. He actually detested ring fights because they basicly made everything he did illegal. You cant make up fighting styles on the spot in a ring and thats all that bruce lee did. He constantly changed his fighting style whenever he would fight. It was impossible to go in and read his attacks. This is why he never fought any martial artist that took a sport competition. He actually helped train some of the greatest fighters in sport history.

  • i did some research on this video. this monk is 32nd generation of shaolin. his birth name is wang deqing(王德庆) and he got a given name shi xinghong(释行鸿)by shaolin. he study kongfu in shaolin since he was 9 years old and leave shaolin when he was 25.

in 1999, he went to Hungary to teach kongfu.

now he is the teacher of police force in Hungary and he is asked to write a test book about martial arts for the police force of Hungary

  • Put a Shaolin monk in a fight with Chuck Norris, the monk with come out with Chuck's head after one minute.

  • Our best fighters like to fight to show how tough they are, but the quiet ones are always the ones that will surprise you. In this case, Shaolin Monks never fight unprovoked, but when they do, they'll kick the shit outta you.

  • @chickenturdd damn right, they never challenge or provoke anyone. Only assholes dare to challenge the Shaolin monks.

  • This monk is no joke, currently he's a head coach of UK special force team!! Talk about life of art there isn't much of sport fighter can achieve this way...!!!

  • @ms3boosted this monk in the video is in uk special force team?

  • its a chinese song called 男兒當自強

  • i like the music :)

  • @YourTheBlame2

I wouldn't say Bruce Lee is the father of sports MMA. People like Gracie contributed much more to the sport and the basis already existen in Pankration or Vale Tudo. Bruce Lee just pointed out that many martial arts combined gives you a strong one. Also when we speak of MMA we speak of cage fighters. Lee has nothing to do with that because nobody in MMA practices Jeet Kune Do. I'd call the ones embracing the sport and conciously evolving the cage fighting for fathers.

  • Oh wait, I see it in the description... >_<

  • What is the name of this song??

  • I can't say whether this is choreographed but this is the only X vs Y videos I have seen where both sides are not sloppy fighters.

  • I'd love to see the both of them fight Brock Lesnar.

  • ДДААА ебите в жорпу этих корейцацев блять!

  • no, it doesn't look nice. it's garbage even for a choreography. if the monk didin't want to attack, he should not have gone to the ring in first place. i LOVE all the "he could, he would. he didn't make it because he's a saint", save it... you don't wanna hurt even as much is need on a sportive fight, you don't go fighting...

  • Can he fight Bruce Lee? Big question!

  • Let this show the Americans that they will loose. the Ultimate fighters will die in seconds if they ever fight the shaolin monks.

they prove their power by not fighting. Because Americans like to show off they are tough.

  • @1233219773 i'd have to agree i would not wanna go up to a shaolin monk. i mean i been in matial arts for year's and watching him he could have probably ko'ed the tkd a couple times by now

  • @1233219773 americans are only big tough and strong in hollywood movies...they are bunch of cowards and weaklings in real life and they are too obsessed with guns.

  • @1233219773

    that's logical

"not fighting" proves you can fight

i'm going to prove i can cure cancer by not curing cancer

  • @TehPenar Damn, it's so hilarious -> I'm going to prove I can cure cancer by not curing cancer...

  • @1233219773 well, i wouldnt say Americans, but the UFC guys, yes, they would get destroyed by a shaolin monk. i'm sick of all the videos showing mma fighters beating the hell out of martial artists. let them fight against a true shaolin monk and we'll see

  • @ironwolg

In a cage with rules the UFC fighter would win. The shaolin monk would also have troubles if the UFC fighter came close and took him to the ground.

  • Bitch your dumb, what does this have to do with Americans at all? I agree with you in the fact that Ultimate Fighters would lose in a fight against Shaolin, hands down. But you just sound like a fuckin hater. Being that i practice kung fu myself for self-defense only and im an American. I think your just butt hurt because you got your ass beat, and wish you only knew kung fu.

  • No they wouldn't die, Shaolin Monks have respect for all living things... They might get disabled though...

  • @1233219773

    Grasshoper! All is vanity~~~~~

  • @1233219773 lol an mma fighter would have taken him down so fast. plus this is clearly fake wow

  • @1233219773 dude the fight was choregraphed and i dont think you can just say those things irresponsibly like that... how are americans afraid of fighting? You are letting your own pride in Shaolin and China make you look like an idiot

  • Man, shaolin monks are unbeatable.

  • @desertshield i agree

  • Anyone know what the "technique" with his arms are called?

  • @mimcard1 I believe he is using the snake form.

  • @mimcard1 it's part of snake style kung fu it's their normal figthing stance. not the pretty competions forms/stance but the get to business stance/form, most of the techniques he used were from that style including the kicks.

  • anyone know what the song is calleD?

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea Wong Fei Hong theme song

  • @papertiger7 He's Wong Fei Hong , buddy!

  • Best fight I had ever seen

  • Oh pls, this was more of a demo sparring instead of real comp. I bet u the tkd guy would of unleashed a jumping back kick or side kick that would've opened the monks eyes wide open. Kung fu is not that effective in the traditional arts.

  • @aquin520 you have no idea what your talking about kid

  • @aquin520 Uhhh. Actually look back. Ip Man, Fok Yuen Gap aka Huo Yuanjia, and the best. Wong Fei Hung. those men used kung fu to prove that Chinese martial arts(gung fu, or kung fu) is predominantly the more impressive style. From Hung Gar, Bagua to Wing Chun and Shaolin. it's better then the Korean TKD. But then again. its all about the practitioner not the style

  • dannggg that monk reads all the movement!! EVERY movement, its funny to see the TKD kicks like nothing when the monk blocks his kick.. seriously both of em are on different level..

  • vido quality suck but that shaolin monk kinda looks like jet li

  • taekwondo the best

  • what is the song called?

  • its pretty much guaranteed that the monk would win because of one very important factor nobody has mentioned yet... monks train all day every day from a very young age and in this training is iron body... if its a real monk, the TKD cat would have alot of trouble hurting the monk even if he could connect with a strike. and the monk clearly held back more than once whereas i didnt really see the TKD guy holding back much at all...

  • The song is also known as the "Once Upon A Time In China" Theme.

  • @clcoc20s wong fei hung maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan old cats are always singing it at events......

  • kinda sweet the munk just chills and play it 100% defense and keeps blocking without striking for a while wish means if he wanted to he could destroy the other guy

  • @loco320 i think youre missing a link in your logic... it in no way means that he could win simply because hes defensive... i do agree he's probably a better fighter, but being defensive isnt what showed that...

  • @SynS7ven let me rephrase that x)

what i mean by "kinda sweet the munk just chills and play it 100% defense and keeps blocking without striking for a while"

the munk would have attacked between each block if he realy wanted to take him out

but what you say is true indeed

  • @loco320 word... yeah i wasnt trying to be a dick... just pointing out the gap... i agree, had he been more offensive, things wouldve been alot different...

  • The monks reflexes were too good. He appeared calm throughout.

  • EXTREMLY CLASSIC CHINESE SONG FTW!

  • WHO WON !!! SOMEONE REPLY PLEASE ( '_' ) plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • You picked a perfect song for this video :D

  • Both fighters are great, The shaolin kung fu fighter are more on agility he look's like a cat because of his reflex reaction and he apply what he learn about Chinese wushu (Wushu in english term "Martial Arts"). The Tae kwon do guy is more on kicking.

  • i like shaolin more then tae kwondo

  • @leon15ism no matter which is the best "Martial arts(Wushu)" in this world. The important is, you know how to use it, like tae kwon do, shaolin kung fu, muay thai, jeet kune do, E.T.C what ever way of fight, it's up to you, how you apply what you have learn and how to strategy, how to knock down your opponent with out using grappling.

  • Comment removed

  • @Musashi Both fighters are great. But, your wrong, this song is what you called "a man of determination"

  • Only The Monks Who Train Every Day In The Temple Is A Real Shaolin Kung Fu Fighter, All The Others Lose In A Fight Against Karate, Taekwondo Muay Thai.

they give shaolin kung fu a bad Name...

  • very2 wow!!! dats is a real fight..not a movie

  • This is a very impressive display. Both of them are impressive martial artists but lets measure a couple of differences. Shao Lin monks live to pray and to train. That is what they do. Despite the fact that in Korea, Taekwondo is part of everyday life, there are no TKD monks (not that I know of anyway). About life and death situations the Shao Lin style coming on top, well it depends. On life and death situations people don't stick to styles, everything goes even biting ears off.

  • I would like to see the whole match

  • que si le pega esa patada el monje le arranca la cara a ese taekwondoin

  • @skinssin muerta

  • Hahahaha. I've loled! Blocking kicks with palms? Obviously joke it is!

Stop watching stupid kung fu movies and mangas. :D Real life is waiting, get some.

  • @erudalis have u ever studied physics? no eh? if u did, u will learn that a softer hand absorbs the hits. and does this even look like a kungfu movie? I cant believe u cant see the obvious difference. I lol'ed at ur comment.

  • @bozanism Oh. How kind of You Sir. :D

I haven't studied phisics but i've tried boxing, aikido, bjj and european fencing. Martial arts for sake of art, are only dancing - fake, childs play. Only strength and brutality prevail. Im sorry about it, I also wanna see crouching tiger hidden dragon live. Now I see only inscenisation of those so called soft styles and inner force.

    Pardon my english. Cheers.

  • @erudalis well, u use brutal strength to fight. Thats ur choice. Other ppl prefer using skills. Plus, a movie stays a movie, its not real kung fu. I dont see why u cant see the difference. LOL

  • @bozanism well good point with that. You win.

  • FUCKKKKKKKk, why didnt the MONK guy FIGHT and punch the sucker TKD guy. I know that in teh old days Shaolin martial artist went through their whole life as a kid into adult enduring pain of Shaolin practices. Plus the Monk guy has very stable stances. If i were to jump up and down like that i would have fell and broke my spleen or ears.

  • shit mother fucker....what a weak shaolin and taekwondo shit

  • I like the way the monk keep balance, his movements are soft and elegant, lightning fast when he wants... even thought ... I don't like fighting...

  • look how calm that shaolin is, and when he strikes... chaw dropping awesome!

  • Goo kung-fu!

  • have got to admire the physical and mental conditioning of the Shaolin Monks, truly amazing and incredible speed, he surely must have won this fight though. TKD doesn't suck though, lets not forget it is used by nearly all of the Korean bodyguards. The problem is nowadays TKD is often taught very badly or purely for sport, leaving the self defence aspect in ruins, if it is taught traditionally and well it can be devastating. and btw way i learn Shotokan karate and am in no way sided to either

  • Who owns whom in this vid is not to discuss... - Let's face it Taekwondo simply sucks...

  • I do both MMA and Kung Fu. Infact, the person who teaches me MMA has years of experience in Kung Fu, and he definitely knows what he's talking about. Have you seen Sanda or Sanshou kung fu? In what way is that fake? I think you misunderstand what Kung Fu actually is. There isn't a single style of kung fu, and they aren't all based around mimicking animals. Of course, MMA is definitely not useless either.

  • @TheMMaAnalyst , for example, watch this:

    /watch?v=ZdXorYzyObQ

That's kung fu. How is it fake? And many MMA fighters have black belts in Taekwondo, so how can that be fake?

  • @TheMMAAnalyst Funny, seeing how Karate was derived from a variety of Kung Fu. For the most part, training in animal forms basically taught a student how to use their best natural talent (size, speed, body build, strength) more so than acted as a foundation to fight from.

For an analyst, you're pretty petty and thoughtless.

  • Whatever man. And you are more petty and stupid for starting trash talk instead of arguing.

  • what was he using? wushu?

  • not choreographed

  • isn't the song from a bruce lee movie? lol

  • 1:47-1:49

i want to try tht :D

  • Where can I see the entire video?

  • dang this fights the shit hopefully that monk won hes got some skill

  • el shaolin es el mejor arte marcial q hay a pesar del kung fu

  • Perdio nuestro amigo pelon por falta de combatividad. Y si dicen que el de TKD, no conecto ningun golpe tampoco el shaolin lo hizo.

  • This is beautiful, i dont know if this is real and if the dude is really a monk but i dont even care becouse its the best example of how fighting should be

The monk demonstrates a awesome fighting concept and i think this is the best fighting style/ scene that ive ever seen

    Peace

  • He needs money -.-

  • isn't that forbidden, for shaolin monks to use shaolin kung fu in competitions...at least that's what i heard..

  • Not necessarily, there are allot of monks that are trying to help get Kung fu in the Olympics from what have heard.

  • @iLuvHardStyle

Most of the TRUE Shaolin actually fled to other countries during the communist take over - the commies believed that the martial arts was mystical non-sense and it was forbidden to do any of it. The Shaolin temples became ghost towns.

Hard to find REAL Shaolin. Most of the "monks" masquerading as Kung Fu masters are Wushu performers - theatrical Kung Fu.

  • commies = fags! :D

  • I really have no reply, because it's true when I think about it.

San Fran is full of commies and ___S

  • @iLuvHardStyle faggot

  • Yeah this is undoubtfully staged for some purpose.

  • yeah its called an exhibition

  • Amazing Skills of that monk!

  • does any one know of any other amazing footage like dis here

  • yes is taekwondo

  • Yeah, sry, i've done some research, and it's TK, sry guys!

  • w the shaolin kung-fu, respect forever...

  • whos the tkdo guy?

  • watch how the monk fight....he block all those twd kicks...the monk can strike back anytime when he block...that true shalion monk...soul purpose are in the art of self defense and not to injure the other one...clearly if this is a death or life situation the monk could have clearly...no...definitely beat the crap out of that twd dude....the monk still the best

  • @Tekimoath i mean the guys break fuckin metal rods over their heads and they dont even flinch an inch

and wrestle bulls several times their size to the ground their monsters

adn muay thai nut riders always talk shit calling it all flashy bs

if they can break a big metal rod over their heads

they can break a mt's leg

  • @Tekimoath All that talk yet they still lost on deadliest warriors

  • @opp861 first of all "deadliest warriors" is bull shit.

they had a fight between a ninja and a spartan, the ninja threw this ball of powder and ground up glass in the spartans eye, the spartan just rubed it away and could see so he won....how u going to be fine after two eyes full of ground glass.

  • @asianniga Yea but i had to rewatch that ep the monks actully won one fight on their but the simulation fight is not a real fight they just add up who has the most kills over the other guy and that guy wins but even if it was real the Spartan would still win probly over anyone becuse they are just a better Warrior then every one

  • @opp861 lol i wonder how their empire fell then?.....

  • @Tekimoath u just made me vomit. what a load of romantic crap

  • @Tekimoath your correct

  • u guys hsut up admit tkd won for once

  • tkd won? AHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Check out 1:25

The Shaolin Monk was clearly holding back and did not unleash the final kick, which would probably knock the TKD out of the ring.

This is how true masters of martial artists treat one another with respect and courtesy.

  • @devilhunterred

In China the winning fighter covers his fist bowing the bloody-nose loser then he says : My respect !!!

Also the swordman wipes off his bloody sword and says to his dying opponent : Sorry, my sword doesn't have feelings !!!

  • @devilhunterred Shoalin is just far too superior EASY!!! Its been around for god knows how long in history!?! I bet if someone from europe or the us mastered all the techniques of Shoalin, and that they would be given the green light in UFC or something, most of the UFC guys would just get the shit kicked out of them, i really believe that lol.

  • no se ve una mierda

  • shit was real...

  • Any of you guys that think this was a sparring match are retarded -Look at 1:04 and the replay at 1:08...sorry- thats how real fighting looks...these aren't two jerks...they're two masters...its no surprise they didn't really hit each other.

  • yea you have a good point. If this was really set up then why did the tkd guy seemed like he barely avoided the attack? If he knew the kick was coming then he would have gotten away from it without a surprise but it doesnt seem tat way.

  • But the Shaolin monk had the clear advantage.

  • THis is not a fight, is just a sparring demostration. Shaloin can beat this guy in 5 seconds.

  • real martial artists dont fight only those who know nothing about it will.

  • that wasnt a competition, it was just a sparring. FOR SHOW for students.

    LOOK AT THE EDGES.

  • Everybody who hates on shaolin style

They know, thats why they hate.

  • W O W

  • The monk wasn´t making any effort to beat the other guy. He was way better than the other guy

  • how do you know he wasnt making any effort to beat him. it seems stupid to enter a competition and not try to win.

  • this is not a competition. The shaolin monks went to korea to show their arts and culture but koreans wanted to test their abilities so they sent out their 2000 tkd champion team. The shaolin monks dont fight in competitions...unless they are fake monks

  • im pretty sure there aren't 2000 tkd champions in korea. there would be one champion, thats the point of being champion, you beat everyone else.

  • oh sorry for not being clear.. i meant..the tkd champion in the year 2000. And this fight took place in 2000.

  • that makes more sense

  • Comment removed

  • That seems like a shit excuse. If a Shaolin monk ever gets his ass kick, you'd say he was a fake monk. Even if it was a real fight and not competition.

  • Why don't we go to the shaolin temple and find out whether they are fake or not?

  • Shaolin monks trained in Chinese martial arts for self defense purposes back in ancient times against bandits and outlaws. In modern times they continue to train for physical excersices and sometimes do shows to raise funds for their temples.

Authentic shaolin monks do not fight matches for the sole intent of gaining fame and wealth.

And for this video, in 1:25, it is clear that the monk was holding back and did not unleash the final kick.

  • not only did they fight bandits and outlaws but they also helped in military affairs.

  • chineses sponsered propaganda

  • i dont agree with caca...

when i watched the shaolin monk's move, he didnt waste their move at all, lil bit different for taekwondo master...

  • You couldn't be more wrong. Every martial art has evolved some way or another from Chinese martial arts, all of which can be argued to be originated from Shaolin. This is thousands of years of history. Shaolin monks were known to be used by the Emperor to fight his wars, and were considered to be such a threat that the emperor even tried to destroy Shaolin. Read up on Chinese history buddy.

  • You are rigth. That is not a figth, that is a teach, that is not a good-faster men, that is a warior, that use the force of a snake. the tae kwon do es so good, is so good that the only that can put it down is a ral-master or the movimient.

the Tae Kwon Do master moves like a fas men, the Monk moves like a snake...

you can be fast, but the snake, is faster.

  • the snake never touched the fast man

  • you are terribly misinformed.

  • Comment removed

  • that shaolin very good!!! the tkd hit nothing but he was fast, he only use his leg but d shaolin use all his body 2 block n attack
