I'm from Maryland, and the 9:30 Club was host to several of my favorite shows. So jealous I was too young to see Cranes; that must have been AMAZING! This song brings back memories of when the term "alternative music" actually meant something.

This song by THE Cranes (hee-hee), remind me of my years I lived in Miami (I'm from Chicago). My mom came down to visit and I started playing this CD with the tune Everywhere. My mum (for you Brits) turned around and said to me, "that's a little girl singing" I will always remember that!

Hey, not weird at all blueblade, Certainly I can at least hear or envision the heat of the beating sun in that reeling guitar part, and an urgency in that trodding pace of the baseline! Afterall, I'm part of the "fantasia" generation too, and a long time classic music listener, so I've had "music videos" dancing in my head well before there was any MTV. (I don't THINK I'm too weird, ) thanks for sharing! : )

And yea, one of the real beauties of this band, I always though, was it's "hard simplicity", some down right solid composition, nicely layered, but no "fluff" to speak of.

God these guys are beyond amazing. Never heard a band that could touch them. I have never, ever heard a 'bad' Cranes song. Saw them first time with the Cure in 92 in Detroit / Auburn Hills. Then downtown Detroit two more times.
