In my view, much more romantic verses than the Stafford version, but Elvis ruins the mood with his staccato "Suspicion" at the beggining of each chorus. It's generally a subtle performance, and I understand why the powers that be did not release it as a single. If they had, it would have charted, but if Elvis was an unknown, it would have gone direclty to the bin. Glad that Stafford heard something more in the tune and gave us a great performance.
