This is an example of the shear energy and control of all registers MF exibited! i personally saw him over 38 times live and met him in 1977 backstage for his warm up. On this show, MF was playing on his Holton with the new Monette MFII mouthpiece. If you look closely, he was working more efficiently in the upper register and just having fun. He played some really cool licks here also. The Boss is missed by all! Enjoy!
I remember that weekend all too well......what a storm!!! And I had a recording session that weekend...barely made it to the studio!!!
