V6 Mustang 2003 LT headers Off road H-pipe No Cats

It was not that fast it was more for the Looks and Sound of the car. I was only 18 when I had it so getting a GT was out of the question for me at that age since insurance would have raped me.

I totaled the car.

I'm not worried anymore about the car I have as long as it gets me from point A to point B.

If I could get another mustang later I would not sure if I would do a 03 aging might go with a newer body style or a old FOXbody.

I went with hi flow cats the magnaflow hi flow cats. the video taken sounds nothing like it in person in person it was 10x louder could hear the car coming from 2-3 blocks away at times. you need to get the extensions for the o2 sensors to eliminate it.

dont have this car anymore was totaled but next one I get will be a GT if I do so but now looking at cars its more about getting from point A to point B for me so I would rather have a nice luxury car.

Depends what state you're talking about, in Texas on the inspection they only do a visual test for catalytic converters. So you'd get away with it if you welded in some test pipes or a heatshield for a cat. May be "illegal" but it can still pass :P

Sorry for all the V6 haters; That's a NICE looking 'stang. I'm getting the 18 inch Saleens from AM in a few weeks too; those look awesome. I'm also doing the Mac LTs and O/R H pipe, but I'm debating between keeping my Flowmaster catback or changing to an SLP catback. Any thoughts?

go with the SLP's they are badass with the MAC longtube headers and O/R H bc thats what i have on my 04 V6 stang. i've even had GT stangs pull up next to me and think i have a GT and when i tell them its a 6 they dont believe me! personally i think the flows are kinda weak sounding compared to SLP but all in all its still ur choice on what u would rather have!

and if you live somewhere where they dont test or check if your exhaust is legal go with no mufflers its way better with the SLP's in my opinion

Well I've heard some vids of both setups; for me it's a tough call; I heard a MAC headers and H pipe with Flowmaster 40s and it sounded incredible to me; And like you said I've heard people say they do the MACs with SLP and they have the GT guys jealous; My main thing is I just don't want it sounding too raspy; I like a good rumbling sound over a raspy "Oh that's obviously a V6" type of sound. Do you have a vid of yours to compare?

well mine started out pretty raspy the first month or two but i think it just finally broke in so to me right now it sounds really awesome but still a little raspy if you are really high in the rpms. from what i hear flows arent raspy but i think they have a totally different tone and arent quite as loud. i actually dont have a vid bc i havent had time or a camera to play around with but ive been wanting to get one up so i might try and find some time to do that soon if i can!

Yes the Flowmasters that I have heard, and the setup that I have on mine, they're not all that raspy and they have a great rumble at idle; However, mine is never quite loud enough for me either; So it's kind of a tradeoff, if you want to be loud with a V6 you probably have to be raspy, and if you want to have a rumble instead, you're not going to be that loud overall; I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too; Yea make a vid of yours sometime, I'd be interested to compare it

I've had a lot of people ask me if mine is a GT too, so it is possible to fool people who don't know better, lol It's hard to find a video of the exact setup that I want, but I've found about 2 examples of MAC LTs with OR H pipes and Flowmaster original 40s, and 1 example of all the same MACs with an SLP Loudmouth instead; I thought the Flowmaster setup sounded deeper and more V8 like, but the SLP sounded a little louder and more race car-like if you get what I mean. So its a tough call for me

fuck you go do your research on a form force mufflers are exact same muffler as flow master 40s I have pulled up to other GTs and they ask me what do I have all done to the car and when I tell them it's only a six they don't belive me. your just a hater sorry I don't have the extra money to dump in to insurance like you but at least I take pride in my own ride and don't hate on people

it is SLP piping and it came with the SLP LOUDMOUTH mufflers but i removed them and replaced it with the FORCE mufflers

I put the Magnaflow HI flow Cats on it and it sounds way better the video sound will not even compare to waht it sounds like in person much better when your right next to it i have had people ask me over and over aging what i all did to the V8 and i have to tell them its not its only a 6 banger
