I have a pet peeve about men who leave the toilet seat up. I suppose this could be considered a power struggle issue. Is that part of my shadow?

You see I want to project the problem as some one else's problem. Maybe the man's mother just didn't "pody train" him correctly. Maybe the man just doesn't appreciate me or women in general. Maybe they have shadow issues with control if they refuse to comply with my request. Any thoughts?

leaving the toilet seat up is actually more hygeinic and considerate to females since it prevents males from inadvertently pissing urine onto the toilet seat. female rage about the toilet seat is probably displaced penis envy and concomitant anger about male patriarchy and an unconscious desire for female separatism. you need to take the role of the toilet seat and get comfortable with it so that you identify with the toilet seat and eventually disidentify with it.

The way to deal with this is to make sure you always look before you pee. Take responsibility for your own well-being. If you want to live with a man who doesn't care about your well-being, then you'll need to address that larger issue.
