  • love the video man

  • It is so difficult to get the are you need now a days. I belong to Kaiser and they just get you in and out. I know there is something wrong with me and I suspect CHF but it takes weeks to get an appointment unless you got to Er then that is at least an 8 hour wait. I don't know what is going to happen to me but I will try and take care of this myself and get into Kaiser without waiting two months to get an appointment. God Help us all with the way Medical Care is going

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ah

  • This is how Elizabeth Taylor died ;(

  • question...so if you're told you cant drink any water, what can you do to quench the thirst if your body is retaining water?

  • @Dan4USCTroy

you take a diuretic such as Furosemide aka Lasix..

  • Thanks for this information... and the encouragement. I led a stressful business life, never drank or did drugs, but I smoked for 23 years, quit 27 years ago, but now at 63 have been diagnosed with "heart failure". I want to enjoy whatever life is left to me. I became a follower of Jesus Christ in 1995, look forward to spending an eternity with Him.

  • I'm 90% sure I have this or some other heart problem so is it bad to go to the gym and lift heavy weights and run? I notice my heart in a negative way. Is that contributing to overworking the heart?

  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

  • oh no, not diabetes!!!

  • My dad died two weeks ago at 49 of this. I'm 13 Nd have to get a echo cardiogram soon just to be on the safe side. My dad smoked which made his condition fatal. I'm never going to smoke

  • @Finchel4eva

take care of your health and be a good son for your mother.. God bless your family

  • My father died at age 61 from a massive coronary while he was sleeping. He had been suffering from acute CHF for some time but ignored his doctor's orders. He smoked 2 packs a day of ciggs and drank heavily. Me, I take Lipitor, walk 3 miles a day, every day, eat tons of FRESH fruit & veggies and don't smoke!! Red meat is my one vice though. I'm 52 and don't wanna live to be 100 years old but I want to be healthy and comfortable in my later years.

  • @szqsk8 I hope that you will have a peaceful old age.

  • Is Congestive Heart Failure deadly? Can it go away?

  • Phew, I'm glad I watched this, for a couple days now I thought I had this but now I'm sure it's just my anxiety.

  • EECP TREATMENTEECP,External Cardio counter Pulsation, basically is a machine that pulsates the oxygenated blood back thru your heart while at rest thru three sets of cuffs ,ankles thighs, waist, the volume is three times the amount,as the blood courses through your body it finds and creates new capillary and collaterial growth,in my case with scarring of the heart ,a dead section this capillary growth promotes greater function, and with all your other organs.

  • Thnx Dr. Michael!! Nw i hv understood CHF v. well

  • the producer of this video needs to change the settings on the video rendering. There shouldn't be zig zag lines that you see on certain parts.

  • thanks...!!

  • what happends if you take zantac?

  • Does Hawthorn Berry help ..I heard its a cardiovasilator .. Thanks Mike

  • MrLimsky83, did u see a doctor?

  • i was just diagnosed with this and im only 15 :'(

  • @DisasterFlicks does it run in your family?

  • I'm sorry, I am dealing with it too. It's not the typical left-side heart failure, it's right side from damaged lungs.

  • Go get it checked immediately.See a regular doctor and consider alternative healing if that doesn't work. My husband had CHF and after open-heart surgery 8 years ago he struggled alot to adjust to a slower lifestyle and diet changes..finally gave up the red meat wqhich had too much cholesterol. We lost him on Dec. 7th when his heart finally collapsed. He was brave through the whole experience.Go get checked. now..be brave!

  • Fuck i really think that i might have this shit but i'm not sure. I'm tired all the time, i got a dull ache in my chest, head-aches also my arms are starting to ache as well but so far no swelling. i think i should go to a cardiologist or something..

  • mrl you're gonna get trashed right down to ash son :>

  • is this guy wearing a hat?

  • Good vid

  • i really love taking Levodyn, it's really effective and safe. i've am really getting good results from it, i really feel great.

  • I have already suffered 2 heart attack & have what my phsyican calls dangerously high triglycerides & LDL, and i was told that if i do not get these levels under control i will have another. This did frighten me and i knew i needed to do something to reverse this damage. I knew plant sterols were powerful so i tried Sterolyn, and i'm very proud to say that my triglycerides have gone from 512 all the way down to 155. LDL count down from 240 to 132. Great product.

  • Could you tell me where you purchased these. My Father is suffering from chf and i want to help him and head it off. At the age of 25 my ldl level was extremely high, I was to stubborn to do anything especially with statins. But this sounds good I to heard about plant sterols. Thank's for your responce.

  • is an ECG the same as an EKG?

  • yes it is

  • yes buddy

  • This is great for a student to learn from and regardless of how he pronounces the word ANGINA. Great Job Doctor !

  • Regarding the 2 below comments:

    "android doctor?"

    " he's soooo reading from a screen?"

Who gives a SHIT !? What the fucks wrong with these people!?

This is an extremely simple to understand, entirely USEFUL tool that relates DIRECTLY to the difference between LIFE and DEATH. It's NOT an ENTERTAINMENT video ! What should he be doing ? Wearing funny clothes, singing and dancing, juggling human hearts, and doing impressions??

I can't abide by some of the assinine people in this world.

  • Lol, am I impeding your ability to learn by making one comical observation? Yes, it was informative, but this guy only detracted from the video (and my ability to take it seriously). No big deal, but this is why YouTube has a comment fields. I really find it funny that you're so bothered by it.

  • your observation wasn't 'comical'..it was assinine, and you are a knob.

Furthermore, my comment was not just to YOUR dumbass perspective. You either can't read, then subsequently are unable comprehend the English language, or (and) you are a narcissistic twat.

Eitherway, I will not further condescend to acknowledge such a loser as yourself.

    fin

  • If I'm a dumbass, and I can spell "asinine" correctly, then what does that make you? I know you tried to the best of your ability to feign intelligence by using words beyond your vocab, but you failed. You also fail at life. Fuck you, and your absent sense of humor.

  • And this coming from a fellow Tool-head? That stings...

  • you can soooo tell he's reading from a screen...lol

  • Is this an android doctor, or has he lost the ability to move his head?

  • lmao

  • He's obviously an actor reading a script, because he doesn't even pronounce angina properly.

  • Actually, I think that's the "correct" way to say it. I don't hear the other pronunciation much anymore, perhaps because it sounds too much like "vagina."

  • Take a look at the pronunciation key for the word.

    an-jahy-nuh

  • True, there are multiple accepted pronunciations, but I'm hearing more clinicians place emphasis on the first syllable. Whatever though...it doesn't really matter.

  • and he's wearing a hair piece!...<.<....

  • My mom just found out she has this, today she woke me up at 3:00AM and told me i have to stay home today because she has to go to the hospital, she explained that she couldn't breath.

around 11:00AM my dad got home and told me that she will stay there for a little bit and may be home around Saturday.

i just wanted to know how long do you think she can live for?

  • Alot depends on how early they find it and can get you on medication. I still suffer from shortness of breath and fatigue but for the most part you can still live a full life as long as you take care of yourself with proper diet. The one thing is everyone's body is different which means some can get worse and some get a bit better but it will never go away. Other alternatives if it does continue to decline is a pace maker or possible heart transplant. This is just my personal experience though.

  • I all of a sudden have high blood preasure, and my heart "Flutters" when I walk to my front door from my room I'm winded. I went to the ER and they took an x-ray, and done no diagnostic work, and put me home, I'm going for a stress test from my regular DR. My Dad died in his 40's the same age I am..I'm scared :(

  • I suggest you ask your doctor to refer you to a cardiologist. Did the ER not even do an EKG?

  • Now, I am certainly not a doctor, but I had similar symptoms and I thought I had heart failure. The doctors did an EKG and a C reactive protein test and both came back normal.Turns out I had been having anxiety attacks.

Of course, you will want to talk to a doctor about it.

  • Funny you mentioned the anxiety attacks. I went today to my regular doctor and was told it might be that. I also was told of a device that you wear across your chest, and when the "Attacks" happen, you turn it on to try to capture what's going on with your heart. Since my last post it seems as though the events have subsided? I'm puzzeled to say the least.

  • Once again, you will want to see a doctor, but it sounds like you are having anxiety attacks. The weird thing about anxiety attacks is that when you are having them, you don't think it is an anxiety attack. You think you are having a heart attack. One of my anxiety attacks was so bad, I actually thought my heart had stopped beating.

I have not had anything traumatic happen to me, but apparently that doesn't matter. You can still have anxiety attacks anyway.

  • @itsallgood20002

I want to share some info with you, maybe you find it helpful.

    1. Lose weight if you're overweight, exercise, and eat healthy food in smaller portions.

    2. Stay positive that you will defeat disease and win big.

    3. Read about nutrients.

    4. Eliminate junk foods, processed foods, especially soda.

    5. Have your doctor do blood test and know the results. Anything you find out of normal range, for example, you cholesterol is too high, correct it.

    Running of space here.

  • i know what its like I have congested Heart Failure but mine has gotten so bad they had to put me on a heart transplant list and im only 25.

  • @matthewpenix

When you have time, read about CoQ10. You will find some good info about it in relation to CHF.

  • i concur

  • if they are asking someone then they are doing more research idiot.

  • silly question montesweden2007 do more research

  • winrar

  • I'm a first yr med student with a question, is it possible to somehow treat the resulting edema of CHF with the administration of diuretic?

  • yes of course! It is mentioned in the video as well. By administering a diuretic, you reduce the blood volume which leads to a decrease in blood pressure and a reduced outward filtration of plasma into interstitial space. Btw am a medic as well and I enjoy cardiovascular physiology!

  • thank you very much
