  • you did this?! wow...how long does it take you to do something like that?

  • @xZarzx Yeah all me. Usually about 1/2 an hour to 1 hour after a "warm up".

Might be 2 hours if not warmed up. Its fun though, its like a game, see what you can create type thing.

  • Great! blender?

  • Thank you. Yep, 2.49b.

  • Awesome work! 5 stars from me! :)

  • @leonlim2008 Thanks Bro. Im working on a glass display case for it and a few others so I hope to have that going in the next week or so. Its going to be a beast to render too, I'm not looking forward to it.

  • Intricate modeling really is a forte of yours, innit?! Hallmark stamps and everything! That's some nice work. Would love to know how you got the caustic/prismatic effect.

  • @alanpgoodwin Im glad you noticed the stamps. Most would just see it for the reflective quality. But I think adding the little things that some might pass on really adds to the model. The prism effect was 1 lamp (about .350 power w/ blue tint) and 2 spotlights (about the same power w/ purple and light blue) all inside the diamonds. I forget what the halo on the spotlights was set at though. I also found without it, the diamonds looked sorta boring and the backlight didnt give them enough depth.
