Gays were already in the military before DADT was removed. You people were probably too dumb to realise they were just because those soldiers were manly and did not act like flamboyant effeminated men. The reason people see gays as "queens" is because they are forbidden to admit their sexuality when they are in sports team for example.
Wow. This is really sad. Looking at someone and saying "You shouldn't be in the military because you're gay" is the SAME thing as saying, "You shouldn'd be in the military because you're black." Stop hating on people because of who they love.
Bottom line, soldiers and Marines are against having homosexuals serve openly. The CDC reports that homosexuals are 40 to 50 times more likely to contract AIDS than normal guys. Reference the web site Center for Military Readiness. Look under the homosexual section.
I would feel indifferent if the guy next to me in the line of service was to be gay, but I would prefer that he not be open about it. For quite some time gays have been able to serve, they just weren't allowed to practice homosexuality in service. Why don't we just integrate bathrooms since differences in gender don't really exist anymore? Watching the Joint Chief of Staff silently protest was my favorite part of this State of the Union Address.
This YouTube channel is PATHETIC. Take your pathetic "Christian" views that are full of hatred and keep them OUT of the law. You're buddy John Mccain said that the veterans "dissaproved" of DADT repeal. Well, guess what? The servicemen that are ACTIVE don't give a shit. The Thomas More Law Center is EVIL and you all going to hell in a handbasket!
The announcement of legalizing open gay behavior in the military is part of the fulfillment of Babylon the Great becoming a prison of every unclean and hateful bird described in Rev 18:2.
Rev 18:2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.
@tlstrauss >> Seth, you obviously didn't serve in the military, nor do you have >> kind of important faith. Um, I was quoting a person named Seth. I'm not Seth. There is no wrong faith. All faiths have the same going for them. Any attack to one faith can be turned around and used against the person making the attacks. I'm more concerned with convicted rapists getting passes to enlist than I am of gay men and women serving. We don't need convicted rapists representing this country.
@GlassAgate So you're saying all faiths are correct? How can that be? No two faiths are the same, so by definition not all faiths can be correct. So some faiths are wrong. And since some faiths are wrong, they can't attack a correct faith except to say that they disagree, not to say that the faith is incorrect. Oh, and I did serve in the military, for seven years. You didn't answer either of my questions, so I take that to mean that your answers wouldn't further your case.
@tlstrauss Do you really think that putting words into GlassAgate's mouth is honest debate? How do you determine which faith is "important"? Is it so important that gays be marginalized and forced into second-class citizenship because that's what you think your "important faith" requires?
Besides which, you seem to be under the impression that everyone in the world should have your important faith, so I am curious as to what that entails, so that I, too, can understand it's importance.
"The military leaders, like the Supreme Court justices who attend, do not ever applaud or react at all to what is said in the speech because they are charged with being apolitical. Even when the president is praising the troops, the Joint Chiefs will not react to it during that speech."
- Ed Brayton, dispatches from the culture wars blog.
You realise the joint chiefs are not supposed to clap during the SOTU right? They don't clap for ANYTHING during the speech. It's because the military is supposed to be seen as an 'apolitical' branch. It's kind of like saying "Look at those Buckingham Palace guards! They're just standing there! Shouldn't they be pissed about NHS and standing on soapboxes?"
Let's be reasonable: The military frowns upon outward displays of emotion in public forums like this. The same follows with Justices on the Supreme Court, as it is a sign of biased and factionalization in the Court. It is their duty to remain collected and objective. Please don't be fooled by this footage, because military personnel and Justices never clap or show emotion at the State of the Union. This indicates nothing about their personal beliefs about homosexuality.
This is a standard, professional reaction from the military. It is generally frowned upon when civil servants and military personnel display emotion in public forums like this. The same follows with Justices on the Supreme Court, as it is a sign of biased and factionalization in the Court. Please don't be misled by this footage, because military personnel and Justices never clap or show emotion at the State of the Union. This indicates nothing about their personal beliefs about homosexuality.
I thank these military leaders for standing up for our service men and women. Thank you TMLC for letting us see this! The 'president's' comment was reprehensible! Gays have always been able to serve, but they had to keep their behavior to themselves. It will remain that way if I have anything to say about it. This "repeal" needs to be repealed or at least completely defunded.

@klgrube Why do you willfully ignore the fact that those same "military leaders" don't stand up and cheer along with the rest of the audience when the president mentions the great sacrifices made by our servicemen/women?
Regardless, the TMLC shows it's complete dishonesty with this scummy reality-bender, and their call for ALL of the leaders to agree is another BS call, since the Marines' Commander is an ideologue who is unfit for command, imo.
Shit, that is all he says about the military. He did not even say anything about how hard they fought and how they accomplished. No he says that he accomplished that gays are accepted in the military. Obama should be thrown in jail for treason. He doesn't give a crap about the military. Him and his administration should be thrown in prison. Plus why didn't they do something with the rules of engagement. Thats whats hurting our military. They should of taking that out.
@Jesrbryant: The music is an excerpt from Beethoven's 9th symphony. It's the same piece Keith Olberman used to play on his show.
A for the reaction of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan did not applaud either. Government officials are not supposed to applaud during the speech because this would be seen as a political gesture. For the record it was Admiral Mullen's testimony to congress which started the process that ended DADT. The chairman wanted the policy gone.
I'm a card carrying member of the TMLC, but I've got to point out that the JCS won't applaud anything. Their stoic reaction is basically required because they aren't allowed to be political. I will say that the Commandant of the Marine Corps hates the decision, and I, as a former Marine officer, hate it too. It's going to cause trouble in the barracks. Besides, now we'll have to have gay male showers, gay female showers, straight male showers, and straight female showers. Yeah, that'll work.
@LatinSexyD The gist of the matter at hand is that this video deceives the ignorant public into thinking the Joint Chiefs of Staff are sitting there all upset. If you want to argue an issue, then do it honestly. And quit besmirching the honor of people like Admiral Mullen who did more for this country than your lame paranoid NWO ramblings ever did.
Gays in the military wanting to flood the country with ilegal immigrants when there arent any jobs and the unemployment rate is up around 10 percent and higher in most states and then he sides with all of the dictators and muslim leaders takes oer every industry in the country banks, morgage companies, the auto industry, the food industry, themilitary, the health care industry forcing 3rd world healthcare on us, illegal immigration suing Arizona for protecting its borders, telling us what to eat no.
When people start debating on why the line between right and wrong should be moved or even removed, you know we've sunk pretty far into the pits of moral decay. JD Unwin's research showed that a society that loosens its restrictions on the archetype family unit falls away into oblivion before long. The US is just about do thanks to all the satanists in here.
@ggammel: You couldn't come up with a more useless Biblical quote? Imagine if we sent every Soldier or Marine away from his base in Afghanistan because of a nocturnal emission? Do you honestly think that every young service member goes an entire year's deployment without touching himself? We would have lost the war years ago following your "rules".
This is a completely misleading piece of propaganda. Either you are ignorant or deliberately concealing the fact that the Joint Chiefs of Staff, just like the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, are expected to remain neutral and apolitical. They therefore cannot react one way or another to ANYTHING the President says in the State of the Union.
@COTrailhound the fact is that Gates and Mullen share in Obama's vision of destroying the US. Gates is CFR which means he's a part of the NWO agenda to overthrow the US.
Intellectual Dishonesty: Even if the decision to have homosexual sex is not a choice for you, you cannot speak for every other person on the planet that has had homosexual sex (unless you are a liberal; they are great at telling other people what they should think, say, do). Even if you were raped, that does not necessarily mean that you are gay. And what about 'gay for pay'; a choice. There is some laughably flawed reasoning to the argument that gay is not a choice. It most certainly is.
"When you go to war against your enemies~be sure to stay away from anything that is impure~Any man who becomes ceremonially defiled because of a nocturnal emission must leave the camp & stay away all day~...The camp must be holy~for the Lord your God moves around in your camp to protect you & to defeat your enemies~He must not see any shameful thing among you~or he will turn away from you." ~Deuteronomy 23:9-10, 14
I used to be in the Democrat party now I am not i am now independent because they would love to rule everyone as slaves. I have two daughters and a son i love them all more than anything but I would rather see my daughters in a whore house than my son in the Democrat or Republican party, it's time we stop voting for those son of bitches stop volting for Wall Street and ruling class of people and volt for real patriots that the only way were going to get our government back.
@robotaholic Religion can have issues. But we Americans are seeing is a decline in Morals due to a turning away from the Faith that founded this once Great Nation and saved countless generations.
intheleupp and findtime2, I would encourage you to read the story of Gibeah before spouting out your interpretations of scripture. I would then encourage you to understand the historical perspectives of their time. We are ok to eat meat now as we have refrigerators, unlike in Biblical days. It's perfectly ok if you are a literalist, however may reading the Bible understand it differently. You believe what you do and I'll believe what I do and we'll discuss it over tea in heaven. God bless
@Brucev7 god/ How do you know what god ordains, you arrogant cuss/ If you're referring to what it says in the bible - it does not> nowhere in the entire bible does anyone say that marriage is only between one man and one woman. Nor is this discussion about marriage, you ignoramous
@hexum7 Sigh. Such Biblical illiteracy of this generation. 1 Cor 7 Concerning Married Life 1 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. Only one of many passages from the Holy Bible.
@Brucev7 Nothing in those quotes indicates that a marriage must be between one man and one woman- In oder to qualifiy as a marriage. Try again- only this time at least find some relevant to the issue- What a joke, that you poo-poo other's bible illiteracy while displaying such in the very cherry picked quotes you googled
Because of their positions - which are supposed to be non-political - the joint chiefs and supreme court members don't clap at much of anything. So their stoic expressions mean nothing.
Obama's intemperate remarks, including: "They bring a knife, we bring a gun," "Get in their faces," "I don't want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry. I'm angry!" "Hit back twice as hard," "A Republican victory would mean hand-to-hand combat," "I'm itching for a fight," "Sit down, shut up and get out of the way," and his famous advice to Latino voters: "Punish your enemies." It's not exactly in the style of Mahatma Gandhi or Martin Luther King
There are a few countries that allow gays to serve openly with no problems Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Uruguay.
George Washington disciplined his troops for violating codes of conduct. He also hired Baron von Steuben to train the army. Later General Von Steuben served as his chief of staff, and wrote the army manual still used today. Von Steuben’s sexuality was well known at the time.
What were we suppose to see in their reaction. They reacted as they do to everything in the State of the Union.
@maxx1000 I'm gay at times. I prefer the term 'happy.' What do you call a Homosexual who fears God's perfect plan, spiritually depraved, by their choice, depraved of eternal life in happiness with the Creator of their life.
@Brucev7 Sorry Bruce they are so blinded by Satans influence they cannot hear the voice of God. He will judge we should not. Hate the sin, not the sinner!!!!! Apparently they've never read Levitucus 20:13. But they don't believe in our Holy Father. I weep for them!!!!
"... a national non-profit public-interest law firm which promotes America's Christian heritage ..."
One might wish to show where Jesus Christ spoke about homosexuality, specifically. Please, point to the passages where Jesus Christ condemned the homosexual. And while you're at it, please reference, ANYWHERE in the Holy Bible, any mention of America.
@maxx1000 Not the issue. This a typical response of denial and Biblical illiteracy. Jesus said, I have to be about my Father's business. Joh 6:38 I and the Father are one. Joh 10:30 The Son is obedient to the Father.
Rev 21 Jesus says-8 But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."
@Brucev7 , You swapped the quotes from the book of John. Still, at least you're honest about the words of Revelation, unlike so many. But Rev 21:8 is attributable to the character "God" while not in his "Jesus" costume, and is of course second-hand via the ravings of the lunatic "John".
"Last year, in a lame-duck session of Congress, President Obama forced open homosexuality on our military. "
The President did no such thing. This statement by the ThomasMoreLawCenter is purposefully incorrect. BOTH Houses of Congress passed repeal of DADT and the President signed it into Law.
One would think that an organization that refers to itself as a :LAW CENTER" would have a grasp on how Law is made.
... The Joint Chiefs are nonpartisan and DO NOT show/lean either direction in political discourse. They follow the CIC. Failure to do either is considered a breach of ethics and moral code of conduct and MAY result in punishment of rank and/or relieved of job/duty.
To use the Joint Chiefs as a political indicator requires the public's ignorance...
@Brucev7 Sure. Just like I am tolerant of people whose grammar is atrocious. I don't have to be tolerant of Christianity. They have special rights enumerated in the 1st Amendment. Just like I do in the 9th Amendment. I retain my rights even though they aren't enumerated to be treated as an equal citizen by the government. If the government is being corrupted by a religion, then yes, I have no toleration for that.
You've already lost. The people who voted to keep segregation and to deny black people the right to vote or own property or marry...they are lost to history. Your children and grandchildren will be able to see these posts and know how bigoted and confused their parents and grandparents were back in 2011. Then they will go to their gay cousin's wedding (or their own gay wedding) and be grateful that your side went down in flames at the end of 2010.
@Brennboy , I think some people do choose to act heterosexually (or asexually), and they call this choosing to be heterosexual. Yet, they remain entirely homosexual (or bisexual) in their attraction. It's basically a denial of their human nature, due to intense peer pressure.
16>>Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action),
No one can alter that God's Word is inspired by the Holy God.
@Brucev7 You forgot the best part; how the Scriptures can be used to persecute others, and how convenient it has proven to be for authoritarians to use for their benefit.
God sure isn't very powerful, or he needs much better writers for his fantasy novel, because the whole thing is a trainwreck.
@rg0057 Exactly right. This is also why, when fundies point to the higher instances of depression amongst homosexuals, they never mention the fact that perhaps their vile dehumanization of fellow beings, just because they're "different" might be a huge factor in their depression.
@Brennboy How did you get here? Resulting to ad hominem attacks shows your love of sin and the need for salvation by God's gift through His Son Jesus Christ.
@Brucev7 My life is GREAT - I've been in an amazing, loving relationship for 17 years. I doubt you've ever had that kind of love from anyone (No Jesus and God don't count!) because if you did, you'd be happy with our own life and not obsessed with trying to rip away rights from gay people. And you don't intimidate me with your passive-agression. Seriously: Go fuck yourself.
@Brennboy Great? Do you experience the Adape love, the deepest love from the One who created you? Do you have the assurance of His love in very difficult times? When people trat you wrongly? During illness? And as the lost always do, result to ad hominem attacks.
@Brucev7 "It's a choice." - is your opinion. The fact is that it isn't a choice. Perhaps you might want to take the word of the gay people who will tell you that it's not a choice. You prefer to believe it is a choice because it allows you to keep your bigotry going. It's inconvenient, but you'll have to get over it. It's not a choice no matter how much you keep saying it is. You have no direct experience. I'm gay and I know I didn't choose it.
@Brucev7 "it's a choice". Please provide proof of this assertion, as it flies in the face of over a century of research, and it's plainly illogical. Did you have to make a decision on what gender is sexually attractive to you? No, of course not. You just saw a girl and decided that she was what made you excited. How is that any different for a gay person? Do you think they originally wanted girls, but "made a choice" to go after boys instead?
@trog69 Why should I? Your not interested in the truth, nor in searching, only what feels good, do it. Not in obedience to the One who created you. At least, study Biology.
@Brucev7 Aww, aren't you precious?! Yet another Christian so concerned for his fellow man that not only does he lie for Jesus, but he puts words in other's mouths, to make the argument easier to understand, or at least force that straw-man to stand still long enough for him to hit it a coupla times.
@Brucev7 Why did you even bother responding, when you obviously have nothing else to contribute? Oops, I guess you still have those fingers in your ears. I SAID, NICE REBUTTAL, BUTTHEAD!
I'm torn. If I look at the history of our country, and my own family, who were jailed and whipped for being Quaker, then I really want to support the civil rights of others. Then I look at pictures of the Folsom street fair in San Francisco and read the hateful things said about Christians and I move the other way.
@AnnieOist I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think it's fair to judge a whole community by the behavior of a few. So to say that a whole group of people shouldn't be able to serve in the military because of the actions of some in San Francisco at a fair, doesn't seem right to me.
@ocmozfan I wasn't actually thinking ONLY the military issue. And I really don't want to "judge" anyone. I'm a Christian that leaves judgment up to God. I was thinking of ALL civil rights. I could support civil unions, if the government would get out of the "marriage" business altogether. Civil unions in government, marriage in churches. I guess the government wanted the extra bucks for all the "licenses" they issue. But it doesn't seem right to me how harshly Christians are judged either.
The list of things the Bible calls "abomination" is as long as an NBA player's inseam. It includes loads of ridiculous dietary restrictions and women who wear trousers.
The way in which christofascists selectively enforce their fractured book of Jewish fairy tales never ceases to amaze and delight, but their intrusions into public policy are far less so. Christofascism is inherently anti-democratic. No one who wants the state run according to religious law can call himself a patriot.
"it's exceedingly rare for either the Joint Chiefs or the Supreme Court justices to ever clap, as they are supposed to be apolitical offices by design?"
Are you hallucinating? I've never "viciously attacked" anyone. Are you reading from some gay activist web site with "key word" to be used? Your attempts to color any disagreements as anti american, unpatriotic, hate filled etc. are peculiar. You don't seem to be speaking your own thoughts. What are you doing?
@CosmasNDamian - Simply by citing a book that has lead to the DEATHS of innocent men and women in Africa, especially Uganda, you are trying to get others to act out with violence which that book convinces them to do.
After all, that book claims that Hitler was gay, so by killing gays, a person could theoretically be killing Hitler.
@CosmasNDamian - Judith Reisman, who is a piece of human garbage, said that the Matthew Sheppard Act would cause those with religious views that do not approve of homosexuality would be censored and arrested. She said it would also lead to polygamy and incest.
Guess what? None of that ever happened. Everything she writes is lies and nonsense. You believe it because you are too stupid to know better.
Because of that act, LGBT Americans have some justice under the law.
@TheAnthony8650 What you call "justice" anyone with half a functional brain calls a complete corruption of conviction in the military unit. Ms reisman's views aside, your extreme rhetoric speaks full well of just how objective YOU are in regards to the gay agenda.
I am aware who wrote "Pink Swastika". I have it on my shelf. I suggested Judith Reisman because she wrote a ten page synopsis that can be read on line. Read it Anthony, and rebut it's content.
Calm down. I hate no one. There are, however, some ideas that deserve hatred. I served for 24 years. I served with many gay men. I correspond to this day with one in particular. He is a dear friend. That does not mean, however, that I have to consider his sexual perversion as a virtue, anymore than I consider my old hetero shipmates who were addicted to whoreing on shore leave as virtuous.
The gay community teams with violence against gays committed by gays. At the top of that list of violations is the use of young teenage boys by aggressive gay adults. Any chance you'll ask those gay adults to "answer" for the suicides of teen boys?
What about when those gay adults are in leadership positions over 18 y.o. enlisted men. Who will answer for that? "Us people"?
The straight community teams with violence against straights committed by other straights. At the top of that list of violations is the use of young teenage girls by aggressive straight adults. Any chance you'll ask those straight adults to "answer" for the suicides of teen girls?
What about when those straight adults are in leadership positions over 18 y.o. enlisted women. Who will answer for that? "Us people"?
@maxx1000 Sir, you are spot-on!! The same crime deserves the same justice, and the same problem that underlies it demands the same solution. This is precisely why sane people resisted, and continue to resist the introduction of women into combat units, particularly ships at sea. It has the same risk of abuse, and the same corrosive effect on unit cohesion and morale, caused by all the private sexual relationships and their effects on loyalties.
@maxx1000 I guess the greater question is, do you even know the real definition of the word "gay", then, is your hatred greater against God, for He is righteous and pure, is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe and the Heavens or, for His children who choose to obey and love Him who loved His creatures first?
@CosmasNDamian - You are a moron. You believe anything in any book.
Judith Reisman is a lunatic and religious fanatic. That book is nothing but lies and hate and evil being sold as anti-gay propaganda.
I can write a book saying that people that have "CosmasNDamian" as their screen name are rapists and murderers, and I can bet that other idiots like you would believe it.
It's disgraceful that complete and utter idiots like you live in this nation. Your stupidity is revolting.
@CosmasNDamian - By the way, the book you cited isn't written by Judith Reisman. It was written but two other lunatics and fanatics named by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams.
Scott Lively is soon going to be on trial for his actions which lead to the death of a gay man in Uganda recently.
He is an evil, evil man which deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life.
You're an idiot for believing such filth, you scum.
Adm. Mullen also didn't react, and he has been a VOCAL supporter of ending DADT. Not only that, but who gives a shit what people think? We're talking about human beings here. As far as our laws go, the bible doesn't matter. We don't live in a theocracy. We live in a republic. If you want religious to run everyone's lives, then please feel free to move to Saudi Arabia.
@Brucev7 Oh, please! If you found out tomorrow that 100% no gods exist, would you go and kill a bunch of people? If you say "yes" then you seriously need help. How about being a good person just for the sake of being a good person? Why is the prison population overwhelmingly Christian but less than 1% atheist?
@tn7787 Not the issue. An unreasoned response. A 'good' person, God says He does not respect. And what is the definition of good? Your definition would probably be different from any other.
'Why is the prison population overwhelmingly Christian but less than 1% atheist?'
State your reference.
I could also ad, why were 150 Million people, the largest group, murdered by Atheists, pagans, and governments?
@Brucev7 The only atheists that murdered people were Stalin and Mao. Hitler was a devout Catholic whether you want to believe it or not. The murderers committed their atrocities because they were evil people, not because they didn't believe in any god. As for my reference, feel free to search for prison religion stats. You can find a reference in seconds. If you want more info on morality, I suggest you research some real philosophers, not priests.
@tn7787 , agreed. Dictators who were atheist did not become dictators BECAUSE they were atheist, and did not do it to ADVANCE atheism. They did it to advance themselves. Some used enforced atheism as a tool to ensure all power went to themselves (just as other dictators used enforced Catholicism, or enforced Islam, etc.)
@tn7787 Are you really going to try to state that Hitler loved God, lived a life displaying Hid love for God and His neighbor. C'mon! Now that's a new one. Do you know that he and his Regime murdered Pastors and Priests?
Your also leaving out Ghengis, Alexander, Napoleon, Pot, and more. If they did believe in a Holy God, wouldn't they have at least tried to live a life of holiness, there would be some evidence of such?
@tn7787 You are wrong, America is no longer a republic, but a perpetuating dictatorship. As always it will be HETEROSEXUAL men who will be required to fight in the front lines, while the queers who come out in the open, in all their flaming glory, will be allowed to file discrimination charges against anyone who even calls them out on their degeneracy, or force them to fight on the front lines. And religion doesn't run peoples lives, it provides a moral standard for people to abide by.
@tn7787 Apparently it is lost on you that this country was founded by Men of Judeo Christian affiliation and Judeo christian appreciation. Btw did you know that early sodomy laws were the result of their actions? Go look it up and acquaint yourself with some knowledge, child.
@LatinSexyD Our country was not founded on ANY religious beliefs. Anyone who tells you differently is a propagandist. Look up the Treaty of Tripoli. Anyway, none of that matters because we have a constitutional separation of church and state, whether you like it or not.
@TheCrwilliams It also doesn't explicitly say that women are equal to men, but it's implied. And there are countless court cases to back it up, just like the separation of church and state.
@TheCrwilliams I'm growing tired of arguing this point with ideologues like you, so how's about this; I don't care what you believe the Constitution does or doesn't say, I won't be forced to obey your bigoted, misogynistic, and completely unhinged God's word. Keep your religion out of my government, and instead follow whatever credo you want in your own home.
Even if the Constitution DID say what you wish it did, it wouldn't make it right, or fair to those who don't believe as you do.
@trog69 The Constitution is based out of the bible. The fonders were christians who believed in Jesus Christ. America is a Christian country. I don't give a crap of what the government say about that, America is always under God no matter what and the government can't take that away. I will be saying in there faces if they try to take away my rights.
@TheCrwilliams The constitution is not at all based on the bible- Quit listening to fairy tales and read it for yourself- There's nothing biblical in there. The first amendment makes it unlawful for the gov to endorse or establish any religion, thus it makes separation of church and state law- which was confirmed by several founders, including Washinton, Jefferson, and Adams
obama you are the stupidest person alive.why will you let Homosexuality enter our military?!
ethanhboyd 5 months ago
@ethanhboyd you are retarded. at least half the women in the military are lesbians. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

@ethanhboyd they are already in the military. its only know that they are allowed to admit it

GlassAgate 1 year ago
@GlassAgate So you're saying all faiths are correct? How can that be? No two faiths are the same, so by definition not all faiths can be correct. So some faiths are wrong. And since some faiths are wrong, they can't attack a correct faith except to say that they disagree, not to say that the faith is incorrect. Oh, and I did serve in the military, for seven years. You didn't answer either of my questions, so I take that to mean that your answers wouldn't further your case.
tlstrauss 1 year ago
@tlstrauss Do you really think that putting words into GlassAgate's mouth is honest debate? How do you determine which faith is "important"? Is it so important that gays be marginalized and forced into second-class citizenship because that's what you think your "important faith" requires?
Besides which, you seem to be under the impression that everyone in the world should have your important faith, so I am curious as to what that entails, so that I, too, can understand it's importance.

Government officials are not supposed to applaud during the speech because this would be seen as a political gesture. For the record it was Admiral Mullen's testimony to congress which started the process that ended DADT. The chairman wanted the policy gone.

The way in which christofascists selectively enforce their fractured book of Jewish fairy tales never ceases to amaze and delight, but their intrusions into public policy are far less so. Christofascism is inherently anti-democratic. No one who wants the state run according to religious law can call himself a patriot.

Anthony,
Are you hallucinating? I've never "viciously attacked" anyone. Are you reading from some gay activist web site with "key word" to be used? Your attempts to color any disagreements as anti american, unpatriotic, hate filled etc. are peculiar. You don't seem to be speaking your own thoughts. What are you doing?
CosmasNDamian 1 year ago
@CosmasNDamian - Simply by citing a book that has lead to the DEATHS of innocent men and women in Africa, especially Uganda, you are trying to get others to act out with violence which that book convinces them to do.
After all, that book claims that Hitler was gay, so by killing gays, a person could theoretically be killing Hitler.
Evil, pure evil, is what that is.
TheAnthony8650 1 year ago 2
@CosmasNDamian - Judith Reisman, who is a piece of human garbage, said that the Matthew Sheppard Act would cause those with religious views that do not approve of homosexuality would be censored and arrested. She said it would also lead to polygamy and incest.
Guess what? None of that ever happened. Everything she writes is lies and nonsense. You believe it because you are too stupid to know better.
Because of that act, LGBT Americans have some justice under the law.
TheAnthony8650 1 year ago 5
@TheAnthony8650 What you call "justice" anyone with half a functional brain calls a complete corruption of conviction in the military unit. Ms reisman's views aside, your extreme rhetoric speaks full well of just how objective YOU are in regards to the gay agenda.
LatinSexyD 1 year ago
I am aware who wrote "Pink Swastika". I have it on my shelf. I suggested Judith Reisman because she wrote a ten page synopsis that can be read on line. Read it Anthony, and rebut it's content.
CosmasNDamian 1 year ago
@CosmasNDamian - I don't care what propaganda you have on your filthy bookshelf of bigoted garbage.
YOU are the pervert, abomination, unhealthy, immoral, and evil person. Not I.
Everything you state is a lie with no facts or evidence to support it. NONE!
Your prejudice and hatred has rotted your mind until it no longer can nor wants to see the truth.
All you have is hatred and lies. I have the truth, justice, morality, and most important - the FACTS all on my side.
TheAnthony8650 1 year ago 2
Anthony,
CosmasNDamian 1 year ago
@CosmasNDamian - You viciously attack and insight violence against gays and lesbians and you tell me you “hate no one.”??
The author of a book you try and cite and respect is responsible for the death of a man in Uganda.
Your rhetoric is responsible for the death of innocent people.

@maxx1000 Sir, you are spot-on!! The same crime deserves the same justice, and the same problem that underlies it demands the same solution. This is precisely why sane people resisted, and continue to resist the introduction of women into combat units, particularly ships at sea. It has the same risk of abuse, and the same corrosive effect on unit cohesion and morale, caused by all the private sexual relationships and their effects on loyalties.
CosmasNDamian 9 months ago
@maxx1000 I guess the greater question is, do you even know the real definition of the word "gay", then, is your hatred greater against God, for He is righteous and pure, is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe and the Heavens or, for His children who choose to obey and love Him who loved His creatures first?
Brucev7 9 months ago
Gays in the military. There is a historic precedent!
Search "Pink Swastika" Judith Reisman. The last thing we need is a homosexual subculture in the military.
CosmasNDamian 1 year ago
@CosmasNDamian - You are a moron. You believe anything in any book.
Judith Reisman is a lunatic and religious fanatic. That book is nothing but lies and hate and evil being sold as anti-gay propaganda.
I can write a book saying that people that have "CosmasNDamian" as their screen name are rapists and murderers, and I can bet that other idiots like you would believe it.
It's disgraceful that complete and utter idiots like you live in this nation. Your stupidity is revolting.
TheAnthony8650 1 year ago

@tn7787 Because of too many Americans turning away from God, this former Republic has been turned into a Plutocracy.
It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible. (George Washington, father of our country)

@Brucev7 Oh, please! If you found out tomorrow that 100% no gods exist, would you go and kill a bunch of people? If you say "yes" then you seriously need help. How about being a good person just for the sake of being a good person? Why is the prison population overwhelmingly Christian but less than 1% atheist?
tn7787 1 year ago
@tn7787 Not the issue. An unreasoned response. A 'good' person, God says He does not respect. And what is the definition of good? Your definition would probably be different from any other.
'Why is the prison population overwhelmingly Christian but less than 1% atheist?'
State your reference.
I could also ad, why were 150 Million people, the largest group, murdered by Atheists, pagans, and governments?
Brucev7 1 year ago
@Brucev7 The only atheists that murdered people were Stalin and Mao. Hitler was a devout Catholic whether you want to believe it or not. The murderers committed their atrocities because they were evil people, not because they didn't believe in any god. As for my reference, feel free to search for prison religion stats. You can find a reference in seconds. If you want more info on morality, I suggest you research some real philosophers, not priests.
tn7787 1 year ago
@tn7787 , agreed. Dictators who were atheist did not become dictators BECAUSE they were atheist, and did not do it to ADVANCE atheism. They did it to advance themselves. Some used enforced atheism as a tool to ensure all power went to themselves (just as other dictators used enforced Catholicism, or enforced Islam, etc.)
rg0057 1 year ago
@tn7787 Are you really going to try to state that Hitler loved God, lived a life displaying Hid love for God and His neighbor. C'mon! Now that's a new one. Do you know that he and his Regime murdered Pastors and Priests?
Your also leaving out Ghengis, Alexander, Napoleon, Pot, and more. If they did believe in a Holy God, wouldn't they have at least tried to live a life of holiness, there would be some evidence of such?
Brucev7 1 year ago
@tn7787 You are wrong, America is no longer a republic, but a perpetuating dictatorship. As always it will be HETEROSEXUAL men who will be required to fight in the front lines, while the queers who come out in the open, in all their flaming glory, will be allowed to file discrimination charges against anyone who even calls them out on their degeneracy, or force them to fight on the front lines. And religion doesn't run peoples lives, it provides a moral standard for people to abide by.
SimplyRich2060 1 year ago
@tn7787 Apparently it is lost on you that this country was founded by Men of Judeo Christian affiliation and Judeo christian appreciation. Btw did you know that early sodomy laws were the result of their actions? Go look it up and acquaint yourself with some knowledge, child.
LatinSexyD 1 year ago
@LatinSexyD Our country was not founded on ANY religious beliefs. Anyone who tells you differently is a propagandist. Look up the Treaty of Tripoli. Anyway, none of that matters because we have a constitutional separation of church and state, whether you like it or not.
tn7787 1 year ago 12
@tn7787 If you know the constition. It does not say separation of church and state.

@tn7787 If you know the constitution. It does not say anything about separation of church and state.
TheCrwilliams 1 year ago
@TheCrwilliams It also doesn't explicitly say that women are equal to men, but it's implied. And there are countless court cases to back it up, just like the separation of church and state.
tn7787 1 year ago
@TheCrwilliams I'm growing tired of arguing this point with ideologues like you, so how's about this; I don't care what you believe the Constitution does or doesn't say, I won't be forced to obey your bigoted, misogynistic, and completely unhinged God's word. Keep your religion out of my government, and instead follow whatever credo you want in your own home.
Even if the Constitution DID say what you wish it did, it wouldn't make it right, or fair to those who don't believe as you do.
trog69 1 year ago
@trog69 The Constitution is based out of the bible. The fonders were christians who believed in Jesus Christ. America is a Christian country. I don't give a crap of what the government say about that, America is always under God no matter what and the government can't take that away. I will be saying in there faces if they try to take away my rights.
TheCrwilliams 1 year ago
@TheCrwilliams The constitution is not at all based on the bible- Quit listening to fairy tales and read it for yourself- There's nothing biblical in there. The first amendment makes it unlawful for the gov to endorse or establish any religion, thus it makes separation of church and state law- which was confirmed by several founders, including Washinton, Jefferson, and Adams
