  • Thank you. That's beautiful.

  • beautiful

  • Has the original them really been lost?

  • Beutiful

  • beutiful song

  • Very beautiful! I think this version is the best. I am trying to get it everywhere, but I only find the "regular" one. if someone know where I can find the music sheet of this version, please tell me!

    C ya

  • I think this might be a mixture of a personal arrangement and the music by Narváez.

The original score is different (el sexto libro del delfín de música)

  • hermosisima versión, muchas gracias por compartirlo

  • Shirley Rumsey, married to the great lutenist Christopher Wilson, is an excellent singerin and lute & vihuela player.

    Great thanks !

  • This is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard

  • Esta versión no la conozco, es diferente.

    Suena muy bien.

  • una chulada, buena música !

  • Absolutely beautiful performance and in the true style of Renaissance. Only the description on the lable is wrong. What I hear is not a guitar but either lute or vihuela. Thank you for posting anyway. The more you post of this kind the better. M.

  • Yes, you are right about the instrument. Since I lost the disc cover, I neither know what it is, lute or vihuela

  • @tweenoo

I'm almost certain that it's a vihuela. A lute has a more nasal quality.

  • hi folks

what you arehearing is a vihuela

it was made in 1988,by an Englishman called Paul Thomson

    It's tuned in G,same as a lute(same intervals on the strings,etc)

    Hence the confusion,perhaps

    best wishes

    primo G

  • @GuitarraUltima Is is Vihuela I'm pretty sure it is.

  • Impossibly beautiful.

  • Esta pieza es hermosa, fue de las primeras que aprendí a tocar.

  • Pues una pieza precisamente sencilla para ser la primera uqe aprendes a tocar en la guitarra...

  • beautiful,shirley

sat next to christopher once@ the lute society+listened to your engineer explain how you got that sound so mellifluous

still working on getting my lute version to sound so good

    nice one

    pmo

  • Acogedora ejecución. El vídeo quedaría mejor con una secuencia de bodegones y paisajes. Como sea, agradezco que se haya subido esta pieza a You Tube. La buscaba desde hacía tiempo. Saludos.

  • nice diferencias. It's endless, isn't it?

    play on.

I do believe THERE'S NO HURRY though. Please do comment on my rendition.

  • That's beautiful, I hadn't heard those concrete differences on this piece.

Were this composed by Narváez, or is it a personal arrangement?

  • He is the composer

  • @Feanor88 It's a medley. The first variation is by Narváez, the second I think is Shirley Rumsy's own, the third is Narváez again, but modified by S.R. Variations four and five are by Enriquez de Valderrábano and the last variation is Narváez again (a reprise of the first).
