  • thanks for making these videos! they have helped me. So do you think you can master anxiety and panic without the use of medication? Ive been researching this alot since i started having anxiety and panic and alot of ppl say that you can overcome this without medication. Ive had panic attacks since i was younger but only had about 5 total. Im 24 now. I got a panic attack out of no where on night and ever since have had sever anxiety. But the more i educate myself the better i feel.

  • I believe you CAN master the problem without medication. However, some medications are very good at taking the edge off or if you have prolonged depression. Many of us don't want to take meds because we fear that will make us feel 'weird' and that would cause more problems. It's really up to you. They won't fix the problem but can help. Also, although your panic attack happened out of the blue, you likely are having some big stress or troubling issues, too. Give yourself a break and goodluck!!

  • Yeah i think you are right about big stress or troubling issues in my life. Cause the panic attacks and anxiety that ive experienced in my 20's were only brought on by stressful times. Thanks alot for writing me back! Its nice to know there is hope for me to get better. About a month ago i thought i was going to be in this horrible state for the rest of my life. I also cant wait to recieve your book i ordered yesterday.

  • Stress is a huge igniter of anxiety and panic. Often we are never really aware of how stressed we feel. We aren't aware of a lot of negative emotions, too. When you learn to tackle your issues and deal with what's causing the stresses, it puts the control back in your hands. When you feel in control you don't get the 'out of control' feelings that fear causes. Pay attention to how your scary thoughts try to trick you. Learn to disagree and challenge yourself!

  • Hi Honeybee,

Thanks for commenting on my video. I remember you from my book signing and also recall how well you have overcome your own challenges with anxiety by working on yourself from the inside out. It is never easy, but taking one unsteady step at a time is the surest way to get there. Bailey, the playful Shihtzu also agrees.
