How could they seriously cancel this show? It was so light-hearted and witty I'm surprised it didn't have a bigger following. So let's see America, Jersey Shore > Pushing Daisies? SMH at what we call 'entertainment' these days...

Partially because I am sad that the show is over, but that's just a small part. More than anything, it is because it was a wonderful (albeit rushed, and far too brief) way to wrap up all the loose ends in a series that, to me, is nothing shy of a work of art.
The world is cruel to the new and the different, sometimes. But it makes me happy that, for a short while, this wonderful series brightened all our dim little lives.
Ok, 2 years after the cancellation of the show and i just can't forget it... Why do all good things come to an end early?? This tv show was unique and a source of pleasure!! People on ABC just don't know how to smile!!
Less people watched Pushing Daisies but it deserved another chance for everything. ABC should try to make the show more logical and wrap up all characters stories before canceling it.

See the people become Television Executives, have no talent for enteraining. They sold their souls to their business college. To prove it, ask them a simple joke , and believe me you will have to explain it. They are all spocks in business suits, they mights, reply flat tone like, " what is the business logic of this you call a joke."
As much as it pains me to see this show go, I couldn't think of a better way for it to end. However, the loophole which is Ned's father is still bugging me...
Don't worry, they were eventually going to be able to touch, turns out his father has the same gift and Ned dies and he brings him back to life and in doing that Ned loses his gift and can touch Chuck and that was how the series was supposed to end had ABC gave them another season
If you go to the video section of "Pushing Daisies" at IMDB, you can watch the complete first season for free. I don't know how long it'll be there, so catch it now otherwise it may be gone later. For the second season, it's available on Amazon but you have to pay $1.99 for each episode and there are 13 episodes. I myself bought the second season on Blu-Ray. I hope this helps. :)
Chuck and Ned touched once but it turned out to be a dream. Within the show, they never did touch again, but I'm sure there's plenty of fan-fic out there.
ABC can kiss my ass, pushing Daisies was one of the best shows to ever air, though it had an odd 50's background theme its still better then other shows they still have.
Did Bryan Fuller know season 2 was going to be the final season of Pushing Daisies? The final moments of the last episode felt like they were trying to tie most of the loose ends.
@HindsightPOV They didn't know they were cancelled while they were filming the finale episode. The original ending was presumably just that cliffhanger re: Ned and Chuck at the doorstep?
They compressed the episode on the whole a bit in order to toss in this CGI and extra footage montage to try and sum things up without the opportunity to do reshoots.
This show was a freaking masterpiece and sadly was like many of the shows that should have kept going like Farscape, Dead Like Me.... etc but even if they don't bring the show back we can all atleast take comfort in a somewhat happy ending with not to many questions needing to be answered but with that said i wish there were more shows like this one still around.

its fucking tragic that this got canned. i remember back in 2007 when there was a little dvd of "coming soon to chanell 10 shows", this was on there, it just never got aired on tv here (in australia). now its on go, just found out it was canceled after only 2 seasons, raged so hard, its awfully depressing when you look at the piles upon piles of shit tv that runs to like 8-9-10-12 seasons, when this got canceled after only 2.

Espero que arrumem um jeito de finalizá-la de alguma maneira, pode ser um livro, ou a série de quadrinhos que Bryan Fuller propôs, qualquer coisa. Pushing Daisies merece uma nova chance.

You see TV Shows on air that have been on for the same time as Pushing Daisies and yet you can tell they're running out of storyline and should be cancelled, Pushing Daisies however did 'not' run out of storyline, it's creative and unique style pushes another 3-4 seasons itself. If not ABC, then maybe Showtime can bring this back.

@Meowmixer54 The TV show is cancelled, but the comic, which is coming out early this year, will mark as "Season 3" Bryan Fuller will write the first issue, and be the head writer, and the show's writers will write the rest. There are even some talks of doing this interactive thing where, while reading the comic, you can have original new music by show's composer. Keeping the musical part of the show. The entire, if not most, cast will be back to sing a few songs.

I cried when this aired. Most amazing series ever, visually, emotionally, and creatively.
It was hasty, but also very well-done. I love the full-circle-ness of endings and beginnings, how life and death are a cycle (esp on this show haha), and it was nice of the writers to leave their ending on a note of hope :)

i was soo sad that this show ended and with the way it ended. There are so many unanswered questions like: where is Chuck's dad? What was up with the pocket watches? How did Chuck "explain" being alive to her mother and her aunt?
And I am sure that there are many other looming questions. They say there is going to be a graphic novel/comic book to continue the story. I hope so! I loved this show! : )

This is really the best show I have ever seen. Someone recommended it and I watched the whole series in less than a month. Just finished the last episode today and almost cried. I wish it wasn't over. It's apparent that the show makers had to hastily come up with an ending, since they got cancelled. But for how little time they had, and so many looses ends that had yet to be tied, they ended rather brilliantly.

The finest television show of our generation. It's one of the few times in my life I have ever felt a genuine sense of excitement at watching a work of art unfold. ABC don't only SUCK for cancelling this, they are cultural vandals. I am fortunate I am one of the few people in Australia to see this. The Nein network had both series in the can but never showed either. Thank GOD for DVDs.
This was such a perfect ending. I would have loved to see several seasons more of this creative, heartwarming, funny show but given they were cancelled and they had no time to wrap up plotlines, they ended the show beautifully. Screw you ABC and network television! This is why i'm sticking to HBO, Showtime and AMC.

Série absolutamente fantástica. Com um roteiro dos mais originais, uma fotografia encantadora, atores em total sintonia. Muito triste ter acabado dessa forma. Que mundo injusto.
Espero que arrumem um jeito de finalizá-la de alguma maneira, pode ser um livro, ou a série de quadrinhos que Bryan Fuller propôs, qualquer coisa. Pushing Daisies merece uma nova chance.

You see TV Shows on air that have been on for the same time as Pushing Daisies and yet you can tell they're running out of storyline and should be cancelled, Pushing Daisies however did 'not' run out of storyline, it's creative and unique style pushes another 3-4 seasons itself. If not ABC, then maybe Showtime can bring this back.

WHAT IS GOING ON!?!??!?! I just watched this finale today, and It left me hanging! I searched up on google about season 3, and it said it was coming out soon, but then a million youtube comments and some articles said it was canceled. And then one article it was canceled to be brought back, but then another article said it was going to be made into a comic book...??? I am so confused, will someone please explain!! Is it canceled? will there be a season 3?!?!

@Meowmixer54 The TV show is cancelled, but the comic, which is coming out early this year, will mark as "Season 3" Bryan Fuller will write the first issue, and be the head writer, and the show's writers will write the rest. There are even some talks of doing this interactive thing where, while reading the comic, you can have original new music by show's composer. Keeping the musical part of the show. The entire, if not most, cast will be back to sing a few songs.

I cried when this aired. Most amazing series ever, visually, emotionally, and creatively.
It was hasty, but also very well-done. I love the full-circle-ness of endings and beginnings, how life and death are a cycle (esp on this show haha), and it was nice of the writers to leave their ending on a note of hope :)

This was the best show ever!!!!!!!!! It actually made Wednesdays exciting! I'm so mad that this awesomest, greatest, bestest show just cancelled. Like wtf. Instead of keeping good shows on the air like "Pushing Daisies", ABC airs crap like "V" and "Modern Family". This show should totally come back, like on a smaller network that appreciates it.

i was soo sad that this show ended and with the way it ended. There are so many unanswered questions like: where is Chuck's dad? What was up with the pocket watches? How did Chuck "explain" being alive to her mother and her aunt?
And I am sure that there are many other looming questions. They say there is going to be a graphic novel/comic book to continue the story. I hope so! I loved this show! : )

@aznwhoenjoycomedy Yeah! It deserved a better ending than this. After all it's work and praise it deserved a proper ending. We never got to see how it ended with chuck's dad and Ned's dad. We never got to see Emerson phsyically reunite with Penny or how his relationship with Simone turned out or if Chuck and Ned would ever be able to touch. It makes me cry. I really love this show and I would pay any amount,do anything,sign any petition to get it back on air. :"(

This is really the best show I have ever seen. Someone recommended it and I watched the whole series in less than a month. Just finished the last episode today and almost cried. I wish it wasn't over. I wish it was still on so that there would be an episode where somehow ned and Chuck could touch so that they could kiss and get married. *SIGH* So well, now that PD is over...what do I do now?

I loved this show so much it was an amazing show i really wish it would come back. it still have a chance to come back sense it ended in 2009 and just maybe it could come back in 2011

@TechDeckDork2010 welll yes pushing dasies, was a good show and i hate that ABC cancelled it, but George Lopez had 7 SEASONS! and during this 7 seasons it didnt have that good of ratings so it went off the air. So I wouldnt compare George Lopez to this, not to say that george lopez wasnt good because i have watched every episode and thought it was histarical.

My sister and I were always devising ways that Ned and Chuck would live happily ever after (in their own way). This is disappointing, though! Everything ended too quickly!

It's apparent that the show makers had to hastily come up with an ending, since they got cancelled. But for how little time they had, and so many looses ends that had yet to be tied, they ended rather brilliantly.

I'd just well assume that if you have enough time for that you'd put some effort into finding out if a show really is completely canceled since shows like: 24, Dead like me, sex and the city,Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel and Firefly, have all had some form of continuing or temporary canceling. Heck Reaper is still in debates to get a cartoon to continue the show since actors left.

The best show ever, the finest ensemble cast and the finest writing with direction and colors befitting high art. There was no excuse for cancelling the series. I could even forgive the idiots who cancelled Early edition but this truly was a travesty. Even some advance notice would heva been nice so that Bryan could tie up the loose ends.

It was obviously made to a very high standard, the writing, the art direction, the stars. My favorite television show of the last twenty years. The finest television show of our generation. It's one of the few times in my life I have ever felt a genuine sense of excitement at watching a work of art unfold. ABC don't only SUCK for cancelling this, they are cultural vandals. I am fortunate I am one of the few people in Australia to see this. The Nein network had both series in the can but never showed either. Thank GOD for DVDs.

This was such a perfect ending. I would have loved to see several seasons more of this creative, heartwarming, funny show but given they were cancelled and they had no time to wrap up plotlines, they ended the show beautifully. Screw you ABC and network television! This is why i'm sticking to HBO, Showtime and AMC.

One of the most amazing shows ever, and it was canceled because of the writer's strike and ABC's crappy programming schedule/advertising when it finally did return. It's definitely number one on the list of shows that I wish was still around today, since so much of what's on is just crap.
