Nostagia! I'm a guy and I remember being a kid watching this show all the time, Nickelodeon & Cartoon Network had the best cartoons, it's sad that they changed all so much but I still remember watching this movie a whole bunch of times. Classic cartoon! I love the Powerpuff Girls.

With it being about 9 years since I've seen this movie (and the trailer for that matter) I'm surpised to find out that this didn't do well in the box office! I remember seeing this movie with my dad along with some of my friends when I was 6 yrs old and loving it! Shortly after seeing it I was in the hospital with pnemonia (getting that had nothing to do with the movie) and the TV in my room had a channel airing the movie! Anyway, I'm almost 16 and proud to still be a fan of this awesome show!

Ok... I myself as a young boy watched the Powerpuff Girls. When I heard about the movie I was like, "Oh my God" I want to see it but I was scared bcuz I thought my friends would make fun of me for watching a girls show. My cousin Amy took me along with several of our other cousins to see it and I actually liked it but some reviewers didn't like it!!! It's and orgin story we needed to know who was the first bad guy they faced before becoming the heroes we knew and loved when the show started.

If only Warner and Cartoon Networkhad used their whole viral campaign on MOVIE THEATERS INSTEAD OF ONLY TV! This trailer sucks compared to some of the more darker and edgier ones they also made. This trailer only showed us the plot of an episode, when the movie was actually a masterpiece for CN standars. (And the worst part of all, the only movie based on a CN show that was released after this one was ATHFCMFFT!)

It was a pretty good movie, but I think it needed a little more, something. Maybe the girls could have disbanded for a little while, or one could have joined the evil side as a spy, or som'n like that. Like a really suspensful or shocking twist.

I think the movie lacked in the box office was not only the advertising but the fact that though there were MANY male fans, some guys didnt want to be caught going to the theaters to see a movie about superpowered little girls. I'm a 23 year old man and I still love the series.

Guys i just wanted to point out the people whos said this movie was a flop were actually correct :( Flop doesn't mean it's a bad film. It just means it wasn't successful and didn't pull in alot of money. The film itself is brilliant and i love it :D And if it was advertised properly, it could have been a success!

I wouldn't really call it a long episode. It goes into more detail about other subjects then the show and is different from the show. It's more..Dark. Also it doesn't follow the standard PPG episode format.

I love this movie too. The reason it probably failed was because it was released against movies like Lilo & Stitch, Like Mike, and Men in Black 2. Also, I don't think Warner Bros. promoted it very well (outside of Cartoon Network, which aired nonstop commercials for the movie months ahead of its release.)
