i've had times where i've used a lot of asking fluid and when i remove it, it ruins the texture of the paper and rips it a little. what do you recommend for that?
Does anyone know what are the advantages of using frisket (masking fluid) over rubber cement? There is a huge variance in price so I as wondering if anyone knew if the cost was worth it. Thank you kindly.
I actually haven't used actual masking fluid, but for rubber cement the only problem I had is that when using an eraser it tore the paper if it isn't REALLY dry (which is the same thing for this I would guess) and it'll pull away all my pencil lines under. But besides that it pretty much worked the same.
I work small and sometimes I want to mask with real subtlety - breaking water in rivers or tiny highlights on cars at night. But I just can't find the prefect tool for applying it, unless I ruin a good quality fine brush each time. Any suggestions?
@Rufusdos A thin instrument (a toothpick for example, not only a fine brush) can contain little of fluid and you must clean it every time you dip it in fluid to keep it thin. I also don't recommend to use brushes as they are hard to clean and don't keep regular thickness. The only solution I found so far is a cone like they use in henna tattoos. You make a hole the desirable size.

@Rufusdos Try using a tooth pick, it may work, but I wouldnt' swear by it.
