They had no voice in the government and little hope.They were hungry, no free health care, and very expensive education. Rampant crime, government corruption and just plain POVERTY. Chavez changed EVERTHING, and Dudamel and the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra is a product of the Bolivarian Revolution.That is why the music sounds infinately better than before.

The understanding and the attention to slight and minuscule details truly makes a piece beautiful rather than mediocre. The orquestras he works with are highly revered. Although it's true a conductor is nothing without the band, the band would be lost without a good conductor.

Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con Usted. Los directores y solistas que la mercadotecnia lanza demasiado rapido y con demasiados conciertos por doquier, generalmente se agotan en unos años... Seria una lastima que un talento como Dudamel no llegue, mas tarde, a igualar al de un Carlos Kleiber, un Boulez o un Ozawa...por no haber pasado mas tiempo en la introversion y respeto a la obra maestra.
