On January 23, 2010, the Chávez government threatened to take action against cable providers that aired channels that did not comply with Venezuelan regulations, including the requirement to interrupt regular broadcasting to broadcast presidential speeches.

@puertorricane Estos compañeros y otros fundaron en 2001 la Refundación Comunista con el proyecto de refundar el partido y en eso estamos ahora concretizando. El trabajo de formación político ha sido arduo. La creación de la Escuela Vladimir Ilich Lenin, que se reúne todos los sábados, ha sido importante, me cuentan varios puertorriqueños de la izquierda.

@puertorricane Por que los estudios ideológicos son centrales, sobre todo en una parte territorial del Imperio en donde los medios y el poder político y económico son piezas en una guerra ideológica que se entiende como una tormenta. Dirigimos el trabajo ideológico principalmente hacia la juventud y la clase obrera. La Escuela Vladimir Lenin ha tenido un gran éxito en gran parte de la isla. Tenemos núcleos en el oeste, en el sur y esta por organizarse en el centro de la isla.

@puertorricane Ha sido un impacto positivo. El avance de la Revolución Bolivariana, el movimiento popular en Ecuador, en Argentina u otros ha sido muy estimulante para el movimiento independista de izquierda en el país. Ha permitido ver un poco más de la misma isla por que hay algunos que no quieren ver más allá de las luchas nacionales.
