THIS song, my God, this is one of those songs that moved the church, you could walk in a church on anyday of the week, and just to hear this song sung would take you right into the spirit,and people would be catching the holy ghost, it was like Jesus would come in and just wrap you in his arms, and you would know everthing was going to be ok. This is truly a great performance, a masterpiece. Along with James Cleveland's JESUS is the best thing that ever happened to me, two of the greatest gospel performances ever. And yes they both can bring tears to your eyes.

so beautiful i had a class on black music and culture and my teacher played this clip for us when she was talking about wattstax and i feel in love with this it is so moving.
Yknow, it makes me think of the cyclical blessing Jesus gives to us when WE plead Him to "wake up Jesus" & He sleeps as though He has TOTAL confidence of OUR capability. Remember how He was like "dudes, I thought y'all HAD it under control" as if to say YOU being WITH me are AS SAFE AS ME so I catch a nap while YOU guys run it. He STILL has that same confidence in us.
One day soon we'll all have the confidence to let Him & all those IN Him REST for a change.
