  • Hey arpee or whatever your name is ....your off your rocker I knew Waylon he was over 6 ft tall like me ...get yer facts straight dude

  • Lol, he said bum

  • What is wierd is that 'bumming' is a UK expression for homosexual activity so it is kinds wierd to hear waylon songing 'its time to bum again'. I never heard that waylon was gay though. can anyone confirm this? thanks man. GOD BLESS USA - Dale

  • @greywallpaper A bum needs a job and a home.

  • @greywallpaper bumming in the States means hoboing, hopping freight trains and sort of tramping around. nothing gay.

  • Man, that telecaster is biggier than him! Look at the size of that thing! Was Waylon a small man or was the telecaster just bigger back then?

  • @arpee915 i think waylon was kinda tall

  • @arpee915 waylone was a short guy, man, he stood 5' 2" in his cowboy boots but he had a hart of gold and in statue he was bigger than most 6' guys. GOD BLESS USA - Dale

  • I think it was written by Harlan Howard.

  • @lcar4000 it was. Harlan and Waylon were songwritin' and runnin buddies in the 60s.

Great PRivilege to see this again.

    Thanks for posting.

Although we're sad at their passing - how fortunate we have been to be a part of this wonderful music.

  • Miss Ya´ Waylie. I hope it´s a Luckebach in heaven too.

  • Great stuff - what TV show is this from? This has to be some of the earliest color footage of Waylon that exists outside of the Nashville Rebel movie?

  • This, no doubt is from the "National Life Grand Ole Opry". I think, if I'm not wrong, they later called that show "That Good Ol' Nashville Music".

  • Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash ...3 true legends are gone...now the music is very sad.

  • @idgoback Also need to include Marty Robbins, Conway Twitty, and Hank Sr.

  • @mrbobevans Johnny Paycheck, Johnny Russell, Mel Street, Webb Pierce, also.

  • @rockinredneck57 I agree. Was not familiar with Webb Pierce until checking out his Youtube videos. He rocks.

  • @idgoback it's sad times my friend

  • @idgoback Some one will come along.

  • All women should watch this video when they start to get batty... they'd learn something as to why we bail when the naggin' starts.

  • Is the acoustic guitarist Jerry McGill ? He made a single for SUN records years before becoming Waylon's road manager and occasional rhythm guitarist.

  • Dec 1966: I was living in Nashville, three blocks from the Ryman Auditorium. For 1.50 admission you could see up close and personal the country music greats of the day. When I first walked in, Connie Smith was belting out "Once A Day) on her tip toes. Jim Ed Brown flirting with anything in skirts. Kenny Price, Minnie Pearl are the others that I remember from that night. Waylon had not made the Opry yet. Youtube is a great memory boost.

    Jerry in LA

  • Lui , là ! c'est vraiment la classe, la vraie ,

    Translated by Rémi Lefebvre.
