I just want to know why he wasn't fined for helmet to helmet contact since he was lowered his head and made contact with the defender. If you're going to fine defensive players for helmet to helmet, you have to fine offensive players too.

In this particular scenario he saw the defender lowering to make the tackle and he just did the same, but while moving forward. There was nothing illegal about it.

You'll see James Harrison hit a guy who's in the act of catching a ball and he'll get fined, but another guy does the same thing and nothing

I just want to know why he wasn't fined for helmet to helmet contact since he was lowered his head and made contact with the defender. If you're going to fine defensive players for helmet to helmet, you have to fine offensive players too.

In this particular scenario he saw the defender lowering to make the tackle and he just did the same, but while moving forward. There was nothing illegal about it.

@awrawrr Acutally, the rule is that you cannot hit ANY player helmet to helmet. Also, the new rules implemented by Goodell are incredibly vague. Define defenseless for me? Explain to me how one can lead with his shoulder but not with his head? Seeing how the head is connected to the shoulder it seems like it would be hard to do one without doing the other. And don't question my football IQ. I played Div. 1-AA football. It's not quite 1-A like USC, LSU, UNC, but it's a step higher than Div.II

@awrawrr That is why I think the new rules are bogus. They're trying to take the tenacity out of football by flagging people, literally for hitting to hard. There's times where there is no helmet to helmet contact and flags are thrown because the defender hit a "defenseless" receiver. But the problem I have is that some plays get flagged and others do not. You'll see James Harrison hit a guy who's in the act of catching a ball and he'll get fined, but another guy does the same thing and nothing
