Black men were falling and crawling to black women until black women completely lost their minds behind an absolute tsunami of government assistance programs in the mid 70's and early 80's that ranged from free rent and medical care to free on the job training to preferred military recruiting for minority females and since the mid 70's there has been a mass exodus away from black women.

However, it's ultimately the PERSON'S decision who they are going to be in life. You can't blame your mom for all of your issues. the people who are blaming all black women need to realize that black men do the same thing to those of us who wish to date outside of our race. so many influential black men in the media today put lighter-skinned women or women who are closer to white with less coarse hair on high pedestals, then when we venture out to other races all of a sudden it's, "oh you're not down with the brothers" or "she's white-washed". Colorism is a big factor of the internal conflicts within the black community.
