  • i found a magic mongo fan page on facebook, he only got 6 likers lol... good to see he got some true fans on here :)

  • Sometimes nostalgia isn't all it's cracked up to be.

  • No wonder I ended up in therapy.

  • Nice trip down memory lane! Thanks for posting!

  • Those saturdays the only thing i had trouble with was what to watch. One channel had something on another had something and so on..Flip the channel back and forth

  • With a zillion cable channels and cartoons on 24/7 there is no market for Saturday morning cartoons. In the 70's this was what we looked forward to. Anyone old enough (I am 44) remember the Friday night before the new cartoon season they would get us all excited by showing us previews of what we were in store for that seasons? I think the Osmonds (Jimmy too!) hosted it. Good times.

  • @USDJ2722 Yep, I'm 44 too and totally know what your saying. These were the best of times for television and many other things. Weren't we idiots for letting ourselves get old? lol

  • and on sat night go to the roller ring to play video games pac,man and fall on my butt trying to skate on four wheels yes kiddos we had four wheels to skate on but were much heavier. disco duck and disco rilla was our funniest songs to sing and dance lol

  • @Mega1jesusfreak BTW kids, the wheels were 2x2, not in a straight line

  • I loved Bigfoot and Wildboy. Never missed it.

  • ok..this is just painful to watch..yes, I was a child of the 70's, but I am soooo glad my folks bought me Legos and Tinker Toys rather than watch this..

  • wow- it's so bad it's good!!!

I used to watch this all the time when i was a kid.

  • I love these old Sat shows. Too bad I can't find the full series anywhere. Really want the wonderbug and electra woman series on dvd.

  • The chick in the green sweatshirt is smoking HOT!

  • Comment removed

  • I just want to know if Superchick ever posed nude or not.

  • Saturday mornings just aren't what they used to be.

  • Years ago, the Kroffts "blew my mind away," & I have yet to find it. Could that be grounds for a lawsuit? :) I doubt I'd win. "Kaptain Kool is nobody's fool;" & his sister Helaine would no doubt, "punch my ticket to knuckleville!" :) Maybe that's why I still have a cardboard tent labelled Fridgidaire in my living room...? Robin's still welcome to visit it anytime! :) BTW, Sherlock Holmes IS a housing project - duh! To move in, you only need 3 box tops from any Gen. Mills cereal. :)

  • OMG! I loved this show as a kid. Seeing this takes me back to the good old days!

  • CRACKWOOD the movie... inspired by truly fun tv like this......Bigfoot sure is fast!!! that you for posting this.

  • i feel sorry for my grandchildren they wish tv was like what i watched when i was little

  • OMG. I was 5 years old watching these, laf trax n' all. I didn't know any better, I thought this was cool. I wish my parents would have stopped me. Though, I did have a thing for Electro Woman and Dyno GIrl. :-)

  • I wish I could find the Mongo episode when the bad guys get the bottle!

  • Loraine from Magic Mondo and Kaptain Kool are Brother and Sister. Helaine and Michael Lembeck children of Harvey Lembeck. Cpl Barrbella of Sgt. Bilko fame.

  • As a little kid, I knew shows most of the Kroft shows were cheap and lousy. But, boy howdy, I had no idea just how awful they were! This is just stunningly horrible... and oddly mesmerizing! Thanks for posting!

  • @fabulbabe I wish someone would post the Krofft Superstars intro with the big bang.

  • Every Saturday it was this, tarzan& the super7,& shazam&isis. Live action was cool back in the day.

  • Dude! I was 8 when this was bump'n! But it scared me todeath!

  • I feel a little sorry for our kids. Now the Television is 24 hours a day and saturated with specialized programming. You can watch cartoons at 3 A.M. Back in our day, T.V. was off at 3 A.M. LOL. As a kid, I wouldv'e probably dreamed of todays access to cartoons, but the downside is that kids probably appreciate what they have. When new cartoons were limited to 7-11 A.M. on Saturday mornings only, They were appreciated.

  • Sometimes I get the feeling that my childhood was surrounded by mindless electronic wallpaper. I have conversation with my grandchild in the tones that are used on this show.

  • I always loved this on sat mornings! I looked forward all week to it all week! Bigfoot, and Wildboy were my absolute favorites!

  • Man what a great time and thanks for uploading these took me right back to my childhood

  • I remember that Wonderbug ep w/ the dolphin communicator. GO GO SUPERCHICK!! Captain Cool went on to direct 'Friends' eps!!

  • Could you please upload more episodes if you have any?

  • This stuff was awesome back in the day. I especially liked the corny stunts.

  • The girl in the red bikini on Magic Mongo...was on a episode of Knight Rider. she played a Reporter covering a car race....I remember there was a Scene in it where KITT Turbo Boost over a Car in the Race that looked like the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard.

  • This was back when we had blue Nehi cream soda instead of amp and when we had big wheel's and green machine's,Tonka toys made of steel and bionic man doll's.Who doesn't miss milkshake candy bar's and marathon and chocolite candy bar's too.You always new the end of the cartoons on Saturday because the last show was Fat Albert and then came the weird stuff like Jason of star command and Shazaam.

  • I love the opening credit song.

  • Aw I loved Turkey's ode to mothers...he's such a pushover! :)

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! It's been a long time since I've seen this!

  • At 4:30 P.M. on the same day this episode aired, I was born. Just thought I'd share that with you.

  • Wow! Me, I was watching t.v.!

  • Is that Jerry Stiller at 1:36

  • It's a shame that Saturday morning TV sucks nowadays. Even Cartoon Network is mired in crap (the ONLY decent thing on that channel these days is Chowder).

  • Seeing that you had a higher per capita budget for 70's live action kid series than today, and Ruby/Spears had a hand in alot of the kroft product, there was a better level of quality, I feel for the kids today...

  • "Magic Mongo, You're a genie in need/

Magic Mongo, the only friend that we'll ever need."

  • Hey Everyone !!! Come check out my Groovy Channel and take a trip back to the 70's!!! Please leave any comments or suggestions.

  • Wow! (Through the eyes of a child... This was my favorite show. Mongo was my favorite. He made me believe in majic). Thanks for posting...

  • Wow. I can't believe I loved this horrible show when I was a kid, lol.

  • Personally, I liked it better when they had ElectraWoman & DynaGirl on in its first season.

  • @charlesk1974-i agree with you charlesk1974-i also liked electrawoman & dynagirl on the krofft supershow.-when i was growing up in the 60's & 70's, they had the best saturday morning shows on for kids-you don't see stuff like that no more

  • Those were the days!!

  • I loved Bigfoot, and Wildboy ! They were the one I looked for every Saturday Morning. I lived for saturdays!

  • Dang, I wish that there was a "Bigfoot and Wildboy" movie in development...Ed Speleers needs ta eat!

  • I don't know. Considering that the Land Of The Lost movie was a phenomenal disappointment at the Box Office, I have my doubts.

  • Well, the Kroffts are optimistic that Columbia can handle "H.R. Pufnstuf" after how well "Where the Wild Things Are" was received...though I want to see Dana Gould's version of "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters" made. Because Dana is a funny guy. :)

  • I was 7 when this show was out, so let's see here...Magic Mongo, Wonder Bug, and Bigfoot? Where is Electro woman and Dyna Girl, Dr. Shrinker, Mighty Isis, and the Clifford Ave. Kids? That's all that I can think of right now.

  • Mongo's my hero.

  • Let us pray to the great God above that someday they put all of the krofft supershow episodes, 1976-77 on DVD. Cause, baby I just love this corny and wonderful show! Amen

  • They almost did a third season called The Krofft Comedy Hour. A one hour special was aired in the fall of 78 with Kaptain Kool and Kongs, but the network didn't like it so it never went further. If they ever do a dvd it would be great if they include that show.

  • @cegross Me too!!! DVD's MUST happen soon!!

  • @cegross AMEN, my friend!!

  • @cegross I'm withn ya there. It was good hearted and fun.

  • @cegross Amen!

  • @cegross AMEN!!!

  • @cegross Hallelujah if he does that!

  • magic mongo- 3's company meets i dream of genie. created by joe ruby and ken spears.Notice they would later use the mongo character in the cartoon "Fangface" (Ruby/Spears produced).

  • Bart Braverman [Ace] voiced Pugsy in Fangface too!!

  • When did they use mongo in the Fangface cartoon? Are you referring to the pork-pie hat worn by Sherman Fangsworth's sidekick, Pugsy?

  • yes, Pugsy is who I am talking about. Thanks gang....!

  • Oddly enough, Pugsy was voiced by Bart Braverman who played the bully Ace in Magic Mongo!!

  • I haven't seen this Mongo episode in 30 years!!!!!! Wonderfullllll!

  • I remember watching this when I was 5 and 6. Helaine sure does look good.I wish someone would post one from the first season

  • 1971 throu the years i grew up with this show my fav all kind of sid and marty krofft show i love all of the show that i never forget it !!
