These guys perform simply breathtaking work. It's a shame this presentation wasn't used to promote something more worthy of it's content. These are three hardly mediocre games that probably hit the bargain bin or the point of sale rack at a drug store within a month of going gold in it's release cycle. It would have been much neater if they used this concept during the XBOX 360 release instead of that dumb balloon commercial.

could be 3,5 months, but not years to make this video. if you need 30 minutes for one frame it will take 312 hours for this video to make - less than 2 months if you work 8 hours per day. but there are always some remakes/changes - could be 3,5 months in total.

Yup that's stop motion animation for you. I've played around with it and even for non-professional works it takes like 10min to make like a 3rd of a second to 1/2 second piece of moving video.

Have to deal with literally hundreds of images for like 3-4 seconds and over 10k+ images for anything over a min or two.

People, i honestly dont think it took three years to make it.... I mean, i know it was a good animation, and many good animations take three years to make... But think about it logically.... He would have had to know about those three games THREE YEARS IN ADVANCE before they even came out in order to start working on the animation...
