I love how they move around the stage with an almost perfect cat like grace... and their powerful voices completely captured my attention besides their... seductive choreography.

In the DVD you can see how they recorded all the songs in a studio and are lip-syncing (sp?) to their own voices. This way they could focus on a lot more difficult choreography than would normally be on Broadway. It's fun to watch for when they "mess up" with lip-syncing. :)
@AishaWolf1 If you like the movie, you may not be happy with the actual musical. While it is not on Broadway anymore, you can still listen to an American Broadway soundtrack of it. This movie is British, and therefore the way the orchestra/band plays is different, and they have accents. I prefer this movie to the actual Broadway show.

It must be said: this song sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE with a full-on orchestra/jazz band. I recently saw a local production of CATS and, while the band was very top-notch, it just didn't have the same feel as this one, due to it's small size. I love the energy of this song with a full band. If there is one thing that the video production did better than any of the stage productions, it's this. That and the makeup- it's not messy like some of the stage productions. It's just clean and detailed.
People keep saying this is gay, but I really don't see how enjoying watching two women in skin tight clothing dancing together sensually makes me anything but straight.

I had to play the White Queen in my local Alice in Wonderland, and this White Queen was actually really mean. I made her a super-diva and based her totally off of Bombalurina. I didn't even realize I was doing it for awhile but then I figured that she's the best diva ever. The way she walks!

Its hard as an adult to see this and not notice the overt sexuality of the dance moves. I remember seeing it on broadway and being amazed at how perfectly they captured those cat-like mannerisms. Anyone who has had a cat will know what I mean-they really do move and behave like that.

It must be said: this song sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE with a full-on orchestra/jazz band. I recently saw a local production of CATS and, while the band was very top-notch, it just didn't have the same feel as this one, due to it's small size. I love the energy of this song with a full band. If there is one thing that the video production did better than any of the stage productions, it's this. That and the makeup- it's not messy like some of the stage productions. It's just clean and detailed.

I remember that in, like, 6th grade this whole song was written in my Language arts book. I tried to copy it all down before lunch and asked my teacher if I could take the book home to copy it. She offered to use her copy machine but it was white print on pure black paper. So she looked around and tore the two pages out of the book for me! XD

so from some of the comments here is my opinions of them if demeter and bombalurina are related, and if one of them did date, then here is what i think. Bombularina dated Macavity(she was really complimenting him in the beginning) and the result was demeter(has some features of Macavity AND seems to be the only one who knows when he is near)

I was thinking how demeter seems terrified yet knowledgable, and I think she used to be with Macavity but left him for Munkustrap etcetc but then bombalurina seems kinda proud of him, maybe as his sister?
