@Mrhoopsr - I don't believe you are telling the truth. Most (including Kingsdown) mattress companies offer a warranty that states a 1 1/2' sag anywhere in the mattress voids a warranty. All inspections are done by a third party company and they are given this guideline. One exception would be some of the Memory foam mattresses that are 3/4" in twenty years.
@Prasouli - your comment is idiotic, just like everyone named Prasouli is not out to screw people (or maybe they are) not every sales person is out to sell you junk.
Your comment is like me saying don't trust anyone who's name ends in a vowel, stupid and nonsensical.
We bought a Kingsdown Dormo in 2004. The bed was comfortable for the first year, now it sags so much my wife and I have both developed back problems. When we bought the bed we were sold on the “lifetime” warranty, unfortunately, the warranty is nearly useless. We’ve had the mattress examined a number of times and been told it does not qualify for replacement because it doesn't sag 2" on each side. Sleepy's did offer to sell us a replacement at a discount, I'm hoping they were kidding.
I dont know why people knock sleepys-they are great-I had no problem there. They know what they are douing and I bought many mattresses there. I had one 10 years, and no sags. I love kingsdown "my side" brand-the best I ever owned..no problems at all. I think people are too pickey-you will never hear the good things...people just like to point out the bad. well here is something good!!! I paid 27oo for mine and I love it!
We bought the kingsdown, king size, 600 series. Paid $3,800.00 3 months in it has a 1 1/2" sag. Sleepy's will refund the mattress but won't refund the box springs which cost $1,000. I was ripped off, as I found it cheaper elsewhere, and sold a bad mattress. I would NEVER deal with Sleepy's again, or buy another memory foam. I'm going back to coil bed and replace every 7 years. Less aggravation, and who wants a mattress more than 7 years anyway? your skin sheds, dust mites, yuck!
@imeqsmd No, I'm just a customer. funny this response came now. I was just in small claims court yesterday. I am taking Sleepy's to court for over charging me on an exchange. (they violated their own exchange policy) Plus when the Kingsdown dipped nearly 3 inches after just 3 months, they refunded me the money for the mattress but would not refund me the money for the box springs that cost $1,000. Which is ridiculous.
Kingsdown is worst mattress ever used! Ours was $3,000 at Sleepys, could not be turned over, it is one sided, cheapo. Warranty allows ditches of up to 2" deep and still considered acceptable.
We are average weight. KIng size mattress had no handles making it harder to turn.
Bottom line = you buy it, odds are you will regret it. Why take a chance for this much money? Go with a company that has better than 25 to 50% positive reviews.
I like organic natural latex mattresses because they won't take body impressions or break down very quickly. Read the law label if it has polyurethane foam in it, it will get body impressions and has a planned obsolence of 5 -7 years. Did you know people were sleeping on all natural organic latex mattresses for 50 years prior to WWII? Talk about a great return on investment! I love my Savvy Rest organic mattress.
paid 3 grand, .THEN 6 mo of sleeping on it, and it was shot, went to flip it, and found that you could not, because the flip side did not have the quilted top. Spun it, but sags horribly, Read that Kingsdown did not back up the product, and we were stuck with it. Plywood plank, and a foam topper, make it at least bearable. Worst product ever. For that kind of money, should have a warranty or guarantee... Hoping in a couple of years to be able to afford something else, NOT recommended.
I have had a Kingsdown Body Blend since June 2008. Still VERY comfortable and yes, I am very happy with the purchase. They are expensive, but well worth the price.
when you apply pressure to any foam, it sags, when you release it returns to it's original shape. this means that the comfort layers designed to relieve pressure were trying to come back up while you were on it - pressing against your body. a body impression simply means that the mattress no longer does this. rather than the foams compressing as you get on them, they are simply already there - conforming to your body, not pressing against it. and it takes 6 weeks to get used to a new mattress.
Wish I knew this before I purchased the piece of crap. I got the soft and hubby got the medium firm, the first night we immediately knew it wouldn't work out b/c we fell into the Grand Canyon in the center. Now we're in a battle with Sleepys. Grrr - p.s. NEVER SHOP AT SLEEPYS!!!! HUGE MISTAKE!
BEWARE! We bought a kingsdown with a 10yr warranty. It didn't last a year before breaking down in the center. The company sent out a string and two washers to measure the sagging. Problem is the string and washers don't sleep on the Kingsdown mattress. Bad backs and mounting chiropractic bills.
Same as Itdbrok...turned it on schedule and the thing sagged like a wet diaper...Best of luck trying to get the warranty taken care of! You have to jump through more hoops than an acrobat.
ummmm, maybe if they turn their mattresses when it's recommended they wouldn't sag. I've got a Kingsdown and love it, you just have to turn it every two weeks for the first three months then once every three months, READ YOUR CARE INSTRUCTIONS, PEOPLE!

Read it, rotated it, returned it. I'm 6'4" 200 and wife is 5'10" 145. Sagging unacceptable for the cost of this mattress.
