You have to understand that Stalins government was harsh to EVERYONE living within the Soviet Union. You can just put your hand up and say you were targeted. Thats unfair on everyone else within the USSR.
Also realize Poland before 1918 didnt exist. It was part of the Russian and German Empires. It was either you were entirely occupied by the Nazis (who wanted you all dead) or the harsh Stalin regime. Also note that millions of Poles survived the war by fleeing to the USSR when Hitler invaded.
You're right. Stalin's goal was the creation of a Commie utopia where everyone would be happy, he oppressed people who were (potentially) hostile to the development of SU: ethnic minorities, nationalists, ex-nobles etc. Nazis killed people just for being Jews, Russians, Poles etc. Cruelty in Nazi ideology was an expression of healthy Aryan spirit, killers were not the agents of an ideology vs criminals against the system, but a superrace that had the right to kill and torture. Big difference.
@isamarine Actually you are completely wrong! Poland was founded as a nation in 966 AD. It was partitioned by Germany, Russia, and the Habsburg Empire in 1815.
And you are saying this video is wrong because it only mentioned a specific event in which 1.7 million Poles were deported? We are very aware of the many crimes of the USSR.
I wish Poland peace and prosperity. I can't think of a nation more deserving of this.

500 000Polaków w 1770!
kilka tysięcy w 1830 i 1860!
2milionów w czasie drugiej wojny światowej!
no, a teraz ile oni są tam?!
prawdopodnie kilka milionów : 15% z 130milionów ludzi, więc ok. 20milionów Polaków!
