Kilroy would always put the graffiti on the boats when they left to ship soldiers and then soldiers saw it as a joke and started to right it all over france and holland. They used it for tactical purposes to show that American soldiers were near or have cleared out German's.

If you heard Legget at the end of the game, he said: "You survived through hell. How do you feel about snow?". They're going to Bastogne (Battle of the Buldge). Remember this game is based around real historical events. After Hells Highway, that's where they went.
