@BradleyMcCloud I think it just the fact that many fighting games have a 360 rotation command for grabs. In many fighters many people who play grapplers either do the 360 command whole doing some sort of attack or they jump and do the command while jumping. Those who fail the timing or just do it all wrong end up jumping instead of actually doing the grab.

@BradleyMcCloud Since you have to jump with the control stick & use the control stick while pressing up during most of Senel's throwing moves, it can prove very difficult to pull off some of his techniques. Heck, just in general the control stick was very wonky in Legendia for Senel's throwing moves.

@cequiaa Uh, you got it wrong... There is NOTHING difficult when it comes to doing any of Senel's Eres in Legendia or any other Tales game he's in, since there are no complex inputs needed to do any of the artes in Tales games.

This little skit here is referencing real fighting games like Street Fighter and grappler characters, whose special attack throws usually require 360 degree directional inputs, which is very difficult to do while keeping your character still on the ground.

Aww, I think Senel deserves more credit. He was one of the only characters that could actually fight, and had a reasonable weapon. He really kicked ass with the gauntlets in Legendia; the only other decent character were Chloe, who had a sword, and Will, who had a giant hammer, even though he hardly used it, he cast magic and knew healing spells.

@ShadowStar93 Also, senel has an attack which both jumps over demon fang and attacks him. it's phoenix strike, analogous to Captain falcon's falcon kick. And if i may, the kick would probably have a higher priority then most sword attacks, from my experience in ToS, where zelos and lloyd (and in the wii sequel, Emil) consistently have lower attack priority than an enemy if both attack at the same time.

@ShadowStar93 I can vouche for for Senel (i thought that throwing was a really interesting skill and his attacks had a cool twist) and chloe (2 handed sword using fast swordsman skill like the other main characters was just badass along with the way she did it) not much will mostly because of the 'indignation' in that game made me sigh.

In Tales of Rebirth, the goal of the main characters were to bring unification between the two races. Over the course of the game, Veigue learns that no matter who is a Huma or a Gajuma (the two races), they have a human heart and everyone's one and the same.

And if you're wondering about the "CLAIRE!" thing, it's an inside joke between ToR fans that Veigue screams Claire's name in a really funny way. Also, he says her name too many times, and the joke kind of expanded from there.

Well, I'm happpy to meet Eugene in the game and even fighting him with that boss music he had when he fought against everyone else. Also, I'm glad there are Gajuma in Terresia, sweet. ^^ (even though the only one in the game is Eugene T.T)

Anyway, I agree with having a vs mode system in the Tales games it would be pretty fun to fight against your friends(2p) in the arena, which something that Star Ocean had that the Tales don't. But Star Ocean didn't have 2p co-op either. -.-
