  • Boom

  • Hell yeah, Hojo85, vitor might be a better boxer than he is an MMA fighter. Dont get me wrong I love the guy but he's been beaten a lot lately. Maybe get his confidence back up and get back in MMA with a stronger mind game.

  • I couldn't believe Yves got caught in that triangle. He hasn't been sub'd in years. Which also makes sense, because maybe he thought he couldn't be and got vaught. I don't think it was a work. That kid is a good fighter IMO.

  • Yves Is Fighting Tonight And Hopefully Gonna Murder Joe Stevenson

  • He has his gym here in Houston and yeah he is still doing MMA.

  • There's a lot of conspiracy and speculation regarding

worked mma fights cuz they've done it in boxing but

historically I believe the only MMA fight they ever

100% exposed to be worked was Nathan Jones vs. Koji

the sumo in Pride's pre-DSE days.

  • i always thought yves edwards would be a great boxer as well as vitor belfort. i want to see them compete more and maybe in k-1. even though i prefer mma i want to see mma guys take over the fight world

  • Yeah i think Yves has another boxing match next week. I'll go film it and post it up for you guys.

  • where is he fighting? i would think he would be in larger venues but i guess he just has to work his way up a bit. does he still compete in mma and do you know him personally?

  • ur mom

  • Come on Yves blantantly through the hominick fight. Cuase he had someone put a bet of 20,000 on hominick the day of the fight so instead of Yves winning only 6,000 for winning he made 80,000 for loseing. A toddler could have escaped that weak triangle i mean it only took him 25 seconds to freakin lock in. No one of Yves calibur in jiujistu would get cought in such a sloppy sub.

  • Pleeeese! Give some credit to Hominick... it was a great fight. Plus that triangle wasn't week, it was in deep. Go train! learn more about BJJ insted of running your mouth about fixed fight.

  • Blah blah blah. Yves didn't work out of it the way

he does against superior grapplers in 98% if his

other fights. Of course Hominick is talented but

Yves will beat him 9 out of 10 times. yes the

choke was deep but no deeper than Yves allowed

it to go with his lackluster effort to

    defend against it.

  • You people shut the fuck up about "worked" fights... I hate you.

  • Don't hate me anymore than you hate yourself.

I never said I'd bet money that the Yves-Hominick

bout was worked but I wouldn't be shocked if any

UFC bouts have been worked is all I'm saying.

I don't flaunt this sort of thinking at all

but don't ever rule out the possibility if they

can get away with it in the WBC and FBI it can

happen in MMA. Don't mean to rain on your parade

man. MMA means more to me than it does to you

    trust me.

  • My comment was more meant for the guy saying "fuck yves"

I wouldn't be shocked if a bout was worked in the UFC, but Yves definately did not throw that fight. To say so shows that you obviously don't know what it's like to compete in mma. I'm glad MMA means something to you, but to say it means more to you than me is pretty ignorant seeing as how you don't know me. MMA is what I think about all day every day. I train it hard every single day, and I'm making my debut on June 17th.

  • If I judged you wrong sorry but don't pull the

ignorance card and mirror it back at yourself please.

I'm an MMA fighter as well.

  • Nice site.

My thing is I just really don't think Yves should be disrespected like that for losing a fight. It seems to me that he's earned enough respect for people not to yell work when he has a bad fight against a dangerous guy. I didn't really think the Eastman ko was a work either.. if it's proven i'd like to see it.

Anyways we can agree to disagree without me hating you. I still hate the other guy though.

  • Well, Eastman himself confessed to Mike Sloan

that he had suffered multiple concussions during

his training sessions with Tito and Capital City

Fighting Alliance. That may have had more to do with

him being knocked out by a "grazing" blow than him

    throwing the fight

  • ...I guess I was so pissed because

Eastman is capable of SO much more lethal stand-up

and he SHOULD have ktfo Lutter in the stand-up.

Not only did I lose money on that fight but even the

cats that bet against me agreed that the punch

BARELY touched his forehead. It wasn't even a button

shot and I've been hit there before full power and

not gotten knocked out but I'm no Mark Hunt. So

    logic dictates neither should Marvin.

    Just ranting, sorry.

  • Nice looping right. Yves has always been one of my

fav fighters. He just had a bad night against

Hominick at UFC 58. REMATCH! REMATCH! REMATCH! Yves

    will kill him.

  • fuck Yves, he use to be one of my fav until he did what he did against Hominick. To me, that fight looked rigged, he was completely dominating Homi in striking in the first half of the first round. so to me, Yves took some money to lose that fight... which makes him a punk...

  • As a both a fighter and a fightfan I've had my share of conspiracy theories about the evil empire of UFC

and Zuffa and Dana White. Marvin Eastman's bogus

"fist-didn't even-touch-head" KO against Lutter the

grappler is the only obvious fall a fighter has ever

taken though. Zuffa vs. IFL (proof of bogus bids),

    Eastman-Lutter(proof). Edwards-Hominick? Maybe.

  • i mean... Yves is a REALLY GOOD grappler, he has proven that in his last 5 fights escaping and rolling pretty comfortably with some of the top lightweights grapplers in the UFC, and to be caught, no not caught, to be allowed to STAY in the WEAK triangle is just unbelievable.

  • I'm not too sure it was a "Bad Night". Hominick's kickboxing credentials are pretty good, so the fact that he was winning the standup was probably a good indication of where he's at.

No matter how they do if they fight again, though, anyone can win on a given night, but Yves has been one of the best in lightweight for a while: that counts for a whole lot more than winning or losing against one guy.

  • of course Hominick has skills but look at the way

he got dismantled and easily dethroned by his

lesser caliber shooto opponent from Japan.

Yves is levels above both of them and truthfully

he was ahead in the opening stand-up vs. Hominick.

I think the liver shot had a bit to do with him

winning but Yves had a bad night period. Anyone

    can win anyone can lose.
