Well, you've been lucky. I see purple-ish looking round things in the water from time to time when i go each year in late June. Saw a few purple looking things in the water last June. Very rarely, i will wear swim trunks in the ocean, it's most of the time blue jeans. I don't wanna take a chance on a jellyfish and have it ruin the rest of my week at Myrtle Beach. Too many other good things to do at Myrtle besides those ocean waves that are SO addicting! lol
I like that kinda fun too, but i wouldn't be jumping in that jellyfish & shark infested water there at Myrtle Beach. LOL When i go swimming, i do it with my blue jeans still on, and a T-shirt. Jellyfish can't sting through jeans. I've been stung before, back in ' 91, and it does NOT feel good! I was basically paralyzed for 2 days straight, 'til the poison took time to get out of my left leg. That happened back when i was in the 4th grade...seems like a long time ago, but it really wasn't.
@001GenLee too bad theres little to no jellyfish or sharks out during the day at myrtle beach. I live 5 minutes south of myrtle beach and ive never been stung once
