Don't let bluegrass' white hillbilly look fool you. It's birth is the least prejudice of any music. Bluegrass has Irish/African gospel roots. From the banjo, which is an African inspired instrument to the dancing. Poor white and black people worked in the fields together and played music together and made bluegrass.
