My friend bought this peice of shit car go take a turn on a bridge which my BMW did easily and my friends NSXwhiped out and hit the walls 4 times... Terrible unsafe car.
Senna, " You wanna come with me ? " Hell yeah !! On his jacket , 'BOSS'. Ain't that the truth!! Senna you were awesome, all these tributes and forums keep going and just prove the love and respect people have for him even after 17 years . You still burn bright . What a legacy.
right i have a question about heel and toe down shifting you see the way senna does it here is one way and they way keiichi tsuchiya does it which foot technique is best for heel and toe ??
i am not going on a comparison of drivers or the skill they have that is irrelevant to the question i have only picked these 2 drivers as they each use one of the two different foot techiques for heel and toe and i would just like to know through anyones personal experience which is the best technique
@lilpattman I guess the one you feel more safely with, maybe for some like Tsuchiya for example, is easier to push the gas with the backheel. Also I think that the separation of the pedals is important. I've seen some people that accelerates when braking. What I don't understand is why they do that? What is the purpose of that technique?
@Karlitox23 Thats called rev-match downshifting (or heel-to-toe downshifting), the best way to downshift while braking. You push in the clutch with left food, top of your right goes on the brake pedal to slow down, and the heel of your right goes to give the engine gas to match the engine rpms to the transmission ratio of the new gear you are going into. This will prevent the big jerk you and your car will get by not doing this and can possibly cause you to lose control during a turn
this guy was a god... the way he heel-toed... feathering the throttle... and with those shoes! lol (nice socks btw hehe) wish i was in the passenger seat :P
Just watch and understand. It´s not a simple lap at Suzuka riding a Honda NS-X. It´s just machine and pilot fusing, merging themselves, The wheels become extensions of the arms and legs. The accelerator, brake, clutch, shift and steering wheel interlink with your brain. The gasoline mixes with his blood, and the engine throbs like the beating of your heart.
Basta assistir e entender.
the true mark of a master - his driving inputs are so smooth, so relaxed - almost slow looking... but then you realise he's driving amazingly fast as well. Perfect.
@chanqingyuan I assume you mean 0:36, I think what happened is that he had difficulty changing into fifth and just put his foot down, giving the illusion of the double declutching.
A true legend! always went for a gap and most of the time took any place he wanted coz he had balls and skills, unlike F1 today where u need pit- strategies or team order to overtake someone

Yep, he was an absolute star and badly missed. You can clearly see his tecnique of stabbing the throttle due to the camera. Certainly an unusual practice but very effective for Senna.

the people likes to CRY. Lets the people say whatever they want about him. I dont hate Senna at all, he WAS a good driver. But...
Lets face it, at the end of the day, lets be REALIST, the FACTS says this:
Ayrton Senna Championships (DEAD)
3 (1988, 1990 y 1991)
Michael Schumacher Championships (He's still ALIVE)
7 (1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 y 2004)
Who's the best? even a blind guy can see this.
Please people, dont lie to yourselves and stop DREAMING.
This life is all based about FACTS.
