everybody just shut up and enjoy the vid and keep stupid negative comments to yourself....auto passion drives people like us so those are driven by stupidity need to just shut up and stop writing long arguments on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Until your american muscle car shits the bed for the 5th time in a year, battling off problem part after another. Not to mention the mass recall of all V-8s for an "undisclosed engine problem".
its a fun daily driver.... no one can argue that. i love my SI. its cheap to maintain and it is fun through the corners. comparing a $20K car to a $30K+ car is stupid... i would hope the car thats more expensive would out perform my little SI.
And yes, the RWD is more inherent to getting better traction more consistently in drag racing as wheel as track racing. If you think it takes 500+ horsepower on either cars to notice the difference...you simply don't have enough power or torque in your honda. I can light the wheels up on any LT1/LS1 automatic at 1500 rpm on the street. Manual? Forget it.
@Model192 Front Wheel Drive STREET cars own RWD Street cars on the track..
Its the "Street" part, which does the magic.
Because of the body of the car, which is sightly different than the one of a F1 car, which is made to be a RWD, a street car with fwd is superior when it comes to track racing.
@dualCranKy Are you serious right now? ROFL. There not a single front wheel drive car in the Le Mans GT class because they are fucking garbage on a track. You are talking about the TOURING class, which are inherently slower than the GT class. You really have no idea what you're talking about. FWD sucks for the street, or road track, or drag racing compared to rear wheel drive. BASIC PHYSICS. Acceleration/Braking/Turning on one set of wheels? That's STUPID. Braking/turning + braking/accelerating.
@dualCranKy Uh...the Corvette and Cadillac weigh just as much as anything. Porsche weighs just as much or less. BMW is rear wheel drive. All the high performance sports cars that throw down bad ass track numbers and higher corner speeds and lower corner times are rear wheel or four wheel. Period. There is literally nothing you can say about that because it's true. There is no arguing against it because it IS basic physics. FWD also can not launch as hard or get as much straight line traction.
@J90lude It...doesn't... civic has poor weight distribution on top of it. (60/40) whereas a much, much better car like my trans am is 52/48 and corvette is 50/50. A proper sports car strives for 50/50. Dollar for dollar a rear wheel drive will tear a front wheel drive apart. The transmission of a FWD is up front, all the driveline is up front. It's so hard to get weight off of the front end. Physics dictate a FWD will understeer just on driveline..add that 60/40 and you're fucked. S2000? RWD.
@Model192 You still didnt answer, why the Lacetti (Family Car, modded, FWD) owns a BMW (Sports Car, modded, RWD). Did you know, that even FWD can oversteer? No, you didnt, because all you get is 2+2=FWD is bad... everything else is way too complicated for your little brain.
FWD might not rock in drag races, but it definitely is superior in Mid-Class Cars when it comes to racing and not straight line driving.
@dualCranKy Which BMW? Which Lacetti? Years? You offer nothing but broad terms then try to talk shit. Tell me why Civic SI will get shit on by an 80s camaro/vette/trans am? I mean if you want to compare prices of things back then to today...those cars would be cheaper than an SI all fuckin day and still have better weight distribution.
@Model192 Umm... an old Honda would still keep up with camaro, especially in corners? Did you ever drive a camaro in corners? Its maybe a drag machine, but fuck me, it can go high speed in corners at all...
You will get an old Honda Civic EE9 for max. 3000 euro these days... an Camaro not cheaper than 8000, if not more expensive.
Didnt i tell you to check the WTCC? BMW is taking part in that and some other typical RWD-Cars.. and at the moment the both Lacetti Teams are heavily superior.
@Model192 Umm... an old Honda would still keep up with camaro, especially in corners? Did you ever drive a camaro in corners? Its maybe a drag machine, but fuck me, it can go high speed in corners at all...
You will get an old Honda Civic EE9 for max. 3k euro these days... an Camaro not cheaper than 8000, if not more expensive.
Didnt i tell you to check the WTCC? BMW is taking part in that and some other typical RWD-Cars.. and at the moment the both Lacetti Teams are heavily superior.
@Model192 Did you ever drive a Corvette? I mean, seriously?
Well, i did... My dad had a Camaro and now has a Corvette.
In fact, the Camaro isnt just worse, its even faster in straight lines.
The Corvette is pretty accurate, but if i compare it with my Honda Civic Ep3, it has no chance in corners, which appear in cities and hills.
All in all, since you are saying "FWD is bad, RWD rocks" its not hard to see, that you are an idiot... each system has its benefits (FF, RR, MR, etc.) and is different.
@Model192 HAHA, I giggled. FWD does benefit the old ladies, but being in Colorado, I'd much rather have a FWD or AWD over RWD. But snow tires covers most of what Colorado has to offer in a RWD. I miss my RWD, but I'm still happy with my FWDs at the moment. I don't feel ashamed
@vahdyx These guys are getting confused with my stance on cars in general. There is nothing wrong with these FWD cars but you have to understand their weaknesses, especially when applied to racing. You can respect cars for their purpose, but when you start moving outside of their intended purpose, all the while spending money you don't need to on a poor platform choice, that's where it gets stupid. That's like saying I want to use my corvette for off-road rally racing.
@Model192 I mean my car during it's last dyno made 310whp 377wtq on stock turbo. I'm hoping for 350whp my next dyno. But yes, I know what you mean, I am plagued with wheel spin! For me though, I'd much rather a 250-300whp FWD than a V8 RWD now a days. My current wish list for a car is a Turbocharged Civic, Turbocharged Scion TC, Mazdaspeed 3, or GTI. I just want a nice refined car that's quick. No more than 300whp.
@vahdyx Why would you want a torque steering, understeering FWD over a V8 RWD? The gas mileage of the 400hp V8 vettes crush the mileage on those boosted 4s...my 86 vette is still nicer inside and out than any japanese car i've been in. it's all in how quiet the doors are when they close, interior, layout, sportscar, etc etc.
@Model192 I do love and miss older RWD's, but I love the newer cars features, but not really digging the newer RWDs excluding some (Pontiac G8). I disagree with your interior comment, but to each their own. I can't argue with your preferences or personal experiences. I know the flaws of my car choices, but I got to say the pros for me outweigh the cons.
@vahdyx my corvette has plush soft leather, heated and electronic mirrors, removable top, manual trans with OD, electric seats, MPG/MPG trip/trip/oil temp/oil pressure/voltage/water temp and a myriad of other "cool" things that "performance" cars still don't have today. And, it was made right here in America. No rattles, no bullshit faux plastic. It just is what it is. We're talking about a car base that costs as much in 1985/86/87 as one of these entry level "sporty" FWDs do today.
@Model192 The interior of the Vette sucks, granted it may be amazing back then, but compared to todays cars, even the most basic looks better. Now in terms of quality, you may have an argument, I feel a GTI's interior looks better. MPG of the GTI out shines the vette and the GTI has basically the same suspension and braking performances as the vette. Not to mention 1/4 times are almost identical. One's FWD without torque steer and the other is rwd from the 80s. I disagree with you.
@Model192 Also to compare, if you look at American RWD cars today, they suck even more than the 87 Vette. I'm sorry but to me the newer Mustangs interior looks bad. MPG is isn't that much better. Usually improved highway miles over the Vette. The Camaro LZ1 has a pretty good interior IMO too, out shines the Vette. Granted, ones from the 80s the other is in this decade. But unless I'm feeling nostalgic I'd prefer modern interiors even if it's from a FWD or RWD.
@Model192 Lastly performance wise, I don't feel the vette is a good daily driver. If I wanted a performance car, I'd get a Camaro LZ1 or Newer Vette Z06 or greater, Audi R8, Newer Nissan Skyline, Dodge Challenger SRT8 etc. But all from this decade and wouldn't be my DD. If I wanted a good performing DD that feels great and pulls hard yet still has good MPG. FWD or AWD. My SS has barely has TS and my buddies GTI has none and my friends EvoX has zero as well.
@dualCranKy UNDERSTEER. Thats where a front wheel drive car keeps going straight when they don't have traction because drive is on the same wheel set.
5,000 doesn't get yo into the 10s for a honda, I don't know who told you that lie. You don't even get CLOSE to 10s for that. Not to mention when you get near 12s on a honda you have to start replacing everything on the front wheel drive system. Import cars can NOT retain their handling because they use a front wheel drive system. Basic physics tell you that if you put braking, steering, and power all on one wheel set you have to give up one to get the other. I'll stick to steering/braking on one
@bstal247 Honda indie 800hp @ 11,000rpm/ Chevy small block 350 fully blown makes 3500+hp now the difference is the Honda will take a corner and go plenty fast in the straight but would never touch the small block in a strait!!! you are one hundred percent correct an american car will never touch a jap car on a real track like lemans track!!! the american cars can be made stupid fast but they lose handling and imports can be made fast and retain there handling..
@bstal247 Since youre ignorant I want you to realize that youre right in some sense but still dont know what youre talking about. There are other factors but weight isnt the only other one. And lets look at the weight. Curb weight of a stock 8th gen si is ~2900lbs and the stock curb weight of a trans am ws6 is ~3500lbs. The si stock puts down ~180-190whp and the ls1 t/a stock puts down ~315-330whp. You figure out the ratios dumbass. The trans am comes out on top easily. Plus rwd = more traction.
@cstritz awd is more traction!! haha!! and the ws6 is a lame example use a real car like the new ls7 vette!!! and as for the ws6 it is such a pathetic car stock damn nascar boy!!! ive scene a lightly modded 1991 honda civic si tear up a transam!!! the 1991 was gutted and only had light head work and engine back exhaust and a ram air on it thats it the engine was a B16 on a dyno only made 170fwhp it took the whole shot and all the way to the end of the strip!!!
@peaceboyrx8 civic is not awd so that has nothing to do with this argument. Back when I had my t/a I ran a 12.8 stock. They are not pathetic. The ls1 is a pretty strong engine. After throwing cams, heads, headers, exhaust, ls6 intake, throttle body, injectors, fuel rails, ignition work, and a good tune I was running ~11.7 with slicks. Then i added a blower and it was untouchable. Started that project when I was 16. Now that I'm about to be 20 I have since upgraded.
@cstritz oh its so obvious you are a teen NASCAR fan boy it hurts!!! haha!!! one of these days you will learn what a real car is and what is worth the work and money an a T/A is not one of them!!! 12.8 is such a lie stock!!! and yes the ls1 is a very strong engine!!! and listen to all that work and money you spent just so it would go fast in a straight line which it is still slow as hell for all that money!!! 11.7 after around 5g in upgrades? wow lame!!! put 5g in a Honda run 10's easy!!
@peaceboyrx8 I dont know where NASCAR came into play?? You're saying all i do is drive in a straight line and then call me NASCAR fan boy. That makes no sense considering NASCAR makes laps. I hate when people like you try to use the same insult more than once and it wasnt funny to begin with. And 12.87 was my quickest time. It would range from there to ~13.2 depending on conditions and whether im running slicks or not. And it wasnt 5g to make it that fast. It was about 2g.
@peaceboyrx8 And after I blew it I was running 9s. Oh and when you say put 5g into a honda and run 10's you mean put 5g into a motor swap and turbo setup. Sure I could have just thrown twin turbos on my ls1 and ran 10's with other minor bolt-ons. But you cant run all motor in a honda as fast as i can in my chevy. In the end that was about a 13k car that ran 9s. You dont find that very often.
@bstal247 not taking sides here just clearing things up an ls1 is only a 5.7 l the new ls7 is a 7l!!! and even so he is right nothing will ever compair to an american small block Chevy but nothing can compair to a well tuned Honda as well!!!! they both have there pluses!! I mean hondas can be made fast ive scene many of them that can tear up an american car that is stock like the viper for instance a 300hp honda can beat a 600hp viper!!! all about weight!! but who am i kidding rotary powerwin
@bstal247 And that's just stock. The ls1 can handle far more power than that. Thats just one of many american engines that will put to shame any asian piece of crap. Plus take a turbo civic and run it a against a turbo v8. An 8 cyl engine will ALWAYS have the ability to be stronger and more powerful than a 4 banger. Anything you do to the I4, you can do to the v8 and the v8 will show more gains from it. A turbo running 8 psi will improve a v8's power a lot more than a little 4 cyl.
@bstal247 Alright you commented on another video comment of mine and the whole age thing is a joke. "the si motor is good for 400hp stock". Okay thats amazing but that means it can handle 400hp stock at the crank not at the wheels so thats not that impressive. I will use the other video you commented on for my example. The trans am had an lt1 in it which is a strong motor but had that been a 98+ t/a then it would have had an ls1 which (stock) will put down around 320hp to the rear wheels.
@THATW3IRDKID U CALL IT A RICE MOBILE, yet ur the fag with video game footage for uploads. do u ride a moped back and forth to where you have lan party's and paint figurines and shops in the mall.
you have no idea whats a real car enthusiast, so stfu and go play some WOW
@THATW3IRDKID O ya it will def be a sleeper, it will be sleeping while getting walked on by little HONDA's. what a junk car to even own and want to do a swap to. your vids are uploads of people who have no time play PC games all day, while giving there right hand some exercise. you remind me of the south park episode where they made fun of WOW. do you crap on your mom to?
before you go an shit on someone else's car, you should own a respectable car, which you don't.
@turbodreamz22 sorry to break it to ya but just as nissan sentras arent respectable cars neither are any hondas. They suck major rhinoceros dick. Now i didnt watch the video to bash anyone, it simply was on the home screen of youtube so i clicked on it out of boredom, but when i saw someone mouthing off to another guy because their honda is just soooo much more praise worthy than the other's car I feel I must take a few seconds of my life to inform you that you were born with a mental disorder.
@SNEAKYxC you may have heard this but there are 3 main factors of a vehicle: cost, performance, and durability. Hondas like this: cost=cheap (good), performance=good mpg due to tiny little engines (good for groceries), durability=if you use it for groceries -long lasting, if you put a "racing exhaust", a "racing spoiler", a turbo, "nos", you know make it all "JDM yo" lol -one of two things is gonna happen - its gonna commit suicide or the dumbass driving is gonna wreck it tryin to "tokyo drift"
@SNEAKYxC i think cause alot of ppl have em or start out with them and wanna turn them into street cars... when i get my Audi A4 imma be s treet racing to but hondas are to overrated
@THATW3IRDKID also if you try to look at my videos' which you should all i do is have Real cars, not sentra's. you can look under both my youtube names.
@haloonpc i'm guessing that you don't own a turbo'd 8thgen... even on the smallest of turbo kits, the wastegate is extreeeemly loud... and this particular individual has already stated that it is turbo'd and it was while he was in between different BOV's.
But thanks for trying. have a nice day. go play elsewhere.
@nycclaye i agree with u, but the wastegate isnt what would be loud, you might hear it in the exhaust but not from where the car was when he shifted. the wastegate controls the max boost and obviously releases the excess into the exhaust, if this was turbo tho you would have heard a bov, unless he has a diverter valve which is uncommon and mainly comes on stock turbo cars

FWD Cars are lighter and are faster in slow corners than RWD Cars.
Basic Physics? Dude, racing isnt all about Basic Physics... Its about pretty complicated Physics.
Also you have to have a brain to control an FWD Car in corners (Use the Brakes early, Hit the gas just in time etc.)
Also you have to setup your car right.
Just tell me.

@cstritz awd is more traction!! haha!! and the ws6 is a lame example use a real car like the new ls7 vette!!! and as for the ws6 it is such a pathetic car stock damn nascar boy!!! ive scene a lightly modded 1991 honda civic si tear up a transam!!! the 1991 was gutted and only had light head work and engine back exhaust and a ram air on it thats it the engine was a B16 on a dyno only made 170fwhp it took the whole shot and all the way to the end of the strip!!!
peaceboyrx8 8 months ago
@peaceboyrx8 civic is not awd so that has nothing to do with this argument. Back when I had my t/a I ran a 12.8 stock. They are not pathetic. The ls1 is a pretty strong engine. After throwing cams, heads, headers, exhaust, ls6 intake, throttle body, injectors, fuel rails, ignition work, and a good tune I was running ~11.7 with slicks. Then i added a blower and it was untouchable. Started that project when I was 16. Now that I'm about to be 20 I have since upgraded.
cstritz 8 months ago
@cstritz oh its so obvious you are a teen NASCAR fan boy it hurts!!! haha!!! one of these days you will learn what a real car is and what is worth the work and money an a T/A is not one of them!!! 12.8 is such a lie stock!!! and yes the ls1 is a very strong engine!!! and listen to all that work and money you spent just so it would go fast in a straight line which it is still slow as hell for all that money!!! 11.7 after around 5g in upgrades? wow lame!!! put 5g in a Honda run 10's easy!!
peaceboyrx8 7 months ago
@peaceboyrx8 I dont know where NASCAR came into play?? You're saying all i do is drive in a straight line and then call me NASCAR fan boy. That makes no sense considering NASCAR makes laps. I hate when people like you try to use the same insult more than once and it wasnt funny to begin with. And 12.87 was my quickest time. It would range from there to ~13.2 depending on conditions and whether im running slicks or not. And it wasnt 5g to make it that fast. It was about 2g.
cstritz 7 months ago
@peaceboyrx8 And after I blew it I was running 9s. Oh and when you say put 5g into a honda and run 10's you mean put 5g into a motor swap and turbo setup. Sure I could have just thrown twin turbos on my ls1 and ran 10's with other minor bolt-ons. But you cant run all motor in a honda as fast as i can in my chevy. In the end that was about a 13k car that ran 9s. You dont find that very often.
cstritz 7 months ago
@bstal247 not taking sides here just clearing things up an ls1 is only a 5.7 l the new ls7 is a 7l!!! and even so he is right nothing will ever compair to an american small block Chevy but nothing can compair to a well tuned Honda as well!!!! they both have there pluses!! I mean hondas can be made fast ive scene many of them that can tear up an american car that is stock like the viper for instance a 300hp honda can beat a 600hp viper!!! all about weight!! but who am i kidding rotary powerwin
peaceboyrx8 8 months ago
@bstal247 And that's just stock. The ls1 can handle far more power than that. Thats just one of many american engines that will put to shame any asian piece of crap. Plus take a turbo civic and run it a against a turbo v8. An 8 cyl engine will ALWAYS have the ability to be stronger and more powerful than a 4 banger. Anything you do to the I4, you can do to the v8 and the v8 will show more gains from it. A turbo running 8 psi will improve a v8's power a lot more than a little 4 cyl.
cstritz 8 months ago
@bstal247 Alright you commented on another video comment of mine and the whole age thing is a joke. "the si motor is good for 400hp stock". Okay thats amazing but that means it can handle 400hp stock at the crank not at the wheels so thats not that impressive. I will use the other video you commented on for my example. The trans am had an lt1 in it which is a strong motor but had that been a 98+ t/a then it would have had an ls1 which (stock) will put down around 320hp to the rear wheels.

THATW3IRDKID 11 months ago
@THATW3IRDKID U CALL IT A RICE MOBILE, yet ur the fag with video game footage for uploads. do u ride a moped back and forth to where you have lan party's and paint figurines and shops in the mall.
you have no idea whats a real car enthusiast, so stfu and go play some WOW
turbodreamz22 10 months ago
@turbodreamz22 The footage uploads aren't of ricemobiles. ;)
And I drive a 2.5l sentra without mods. Hoping to find a VQ35 to swap it.
It will be a sleeper. :|
THATW3IRDKID 10 months ago
@THATW3IRDKID O ya it will def be a sleeper, it will be sleeping while getting walked on by little HONDA's. what a junk car to even own and want to do a swap to. your vids are uploads of people who have no time play PC games all day, while giving there right hand some exercise. you remind me of the south park episode where they made fun of WOW. do you crap on your mom to?
before you go an shit on someone else's car, you should own a respectable car, which you don't.
turbodreamz22 10 months ago
@turbodreamz22 sorry to break it to ya but just as nissan sentras arent respectable cars neither are any hondas. They suck major rhinoceros dick. Now i didnt watch the video to bash anyone, it simply was on the home screen of youtube so i clicked on it out of boredom, but when i saw someone mouthing off to another guy because their honda is just soooo much more praise worthy than the other's car I feel I must take a few seconds of my life to inform you that you were born with a mental disorder.
cstritz 10 months ago
@cstritz How are hondas not respectable cars?
SNEAKYxC 10 months ago
@SNEAKYxC you may have heard this but there are 3 main factors of a vehicle: cost, performance, and durability. Hondas like this: cost=cheap (good), performance=good mpg due to tiny little engines (good for groceries), durability=if you use it for groceries -long lasting, if you put a "racing exhaust", a "racing spoiler", a turbo, "nos", you know make it all "JDM yo" lol -one of two things is gonna happen - its gonna commit suicide or the dumbass driving is gonna wreck it tryin to "tokyo drift"
cstritz 10 months ago
@SNEAKYxC i think cause alot of ppl have em or start out with them and wanna turn them into street cars... when i get my Audi A4 imma be s treet racing to but hondas are to overrated
YaBoyQC 9 months ago
@THATW3IRDKID also if you try to look at my videos' which you should all i do is have Real cars, not sentra's. you can look under both my youtube names.

@djpreview then why did u remove the comment?
nycclaye 1 year ago
@nycclaye ever heard of a wastegate?
haloonpc 1 year ago
@haloonpc i'm guessing that you don't own a turbo'd 8thgen... even on the smallest of turbo kits, the wastegate is extreeeemly loud... and this particular individual has already stated that it is turbo'd and it was while he was in between different BOV's.
But thanks for trying. have a nice day. go play elsewhere.
nycclaye 1 year ago
@nycclaye i agree with u, but the wastegate isnt what would be loud, you might hear it in the exhaust but not from where the car was when he shifted. the wastegate controls the max boost and obviously releases the excess into the exhaust, if this was turbo tho you would have heard a bov, unless he has a diverter valve which is uncommon and mainly comes on stock turbo cars
