my hometown! hells yeah. i love it here. i miss it so much. i cant wait to get back^^ it seriously is the BEST town ever, in the best state ever... if you're bored in ptown you just havent figured out all the amazing stuff to do :)
the O-I switch thing is a speech thing from people in that area. you can tell if somebody's from Prescott if they say it like Prescitt lol. makes NO sense. i only spent like 3 days there when i was born and i say it like that for some reason o.o
I hate it here. The only social events are going to a movie and smoking pot. not saying those are BAD, just boring after doing them twenty times in a row. Doing them in tandem isn't any better either.
There is much to discover and love about Arizona. Prescott is not far from Sedona, the Mogollon Rim, flagstaff, Phoenix-you can even go to Nogales Mexico if you wish from there. or Tuscon. The Grand Canyon up all the way thru Utah and Bryce Canyon or Colorado Rockies. To me, Prescott is an amazing gateway to so much.
The sign says "Everybody's Home Town" when you enter the town. Like the song says "it's the ones who love it that we want to keep around". We wrote it to keep those who really want to be here.
I used to live in biscuit, and it isn't so small anymore. Rush hour traffic? And worst of all no more water fights down Gurley street for the fourth of July!!!!!!!!
Very nice footage of Prescott, Arizona. Looks like a great place to live. I especially like the violinists playing at 2:47. They're the icing on the cake of a charming place to live.
i didn't do this video but i can tell you the violinists were only symbolic for all the homegrown activities this town is full of. i can't even begin to list them. every night on the square (courthouse square) there is something. music, movies, contra dancing, whatever. and there are of course many other venues besides the square. this is not counting the more 'formal' things like bluegrass festival, cowboy poets, all the Christmas stuf...
I grew up in Prescott and unfortunately now it's not the same quaint town used to be. Although it is still a great place to visit if you've never been. It just saddens me to see all the development going on in a way that just doesn't seem to have much thought put into it beforehand. Nice video and song, it's nice someone is paying tribute to what was once a great place to live.
I love this video! I grew up there and seeing this made me so homesick! By the way, do you know the Suzuki kids at the end? That's my mom that teaches them and I was SHOCKED to see her and her kids made it onto your video! Thanks for bringing back so many wonderful memories!
I miss this town. Haven't been there since June or July 1998! I always wanted to go back, even just for a visit and take some picts. I attended Yavapai College there in 1997-1998! First small town I stayed at. I always wanted to live in a small town, like Prescott or Flagstaff or even Sedona! Great video!
Man, I honestly don't recall that White building (courthouse I believe, at 0:22) being there. All I remember was a big grassy square downtown with trees and it being surround with bar and grill pubs and local stores. weird! i should consider taking a trip there again!
Hi, thanks! This is too fun. I've been hearing it on the radio, but the video is great. Exactly the right thing to give a real feel to my family who has never been here. Thanks again.
I have lived in Prescott,AZ for many years, years ago. I love this town, and miss it alot! It is beautiful there, for the folks who hate living there...MOVE! The local folks are great, my parents retired there, from a long productive life in the "hell on earth" called Phoenix!!!(but it's a dry heat right?) They love it and I feel safe that they are there instead of the "big city". Go visit Prescott, it's fun!!! S & J in Reno, NV
Great video and catchy tune. It's making its round on FB again! :0)

I've never heard an "O" pronounced like an "I" before. This town is so weird.
Whiskey Row was famous for being a Red Light District by the way. Too bad it isn't anymore, this town would be so much more interesting if it were.
