last time i checked, sony owns the god of war itellectual property. so no god of war on xbox. Now sony has the right to sell the IP to microsoft or loan it for a hefty sum. But knowing microsoft they will turn it into a huge pile of shit just like banjo kazooie. MS does not have good developers they just throw money at everything and expect results. Sony as bad as the ps3 was still had respected developers which are cranking out games now that are just enviable on all levels.

funny thing is that GTA was originally on PC, MGS was Nintendos (also MS is only getting a spin off title, no snake so technically its not MGS, just MG) and guitar hero is owned by EA... Who make money from expansion packs containing just a completed saved game.

Finally God of War is pretty much owned, funded and partially created by the big cheeses at Sony so chances of seeing MS getting their hands on it are slim

No they arnt. I played through God of war 1 with PCSX2 and it was jerky and there were textures missing everywhere. There was a persistant fog that prevented distant vision. I didnt even try God of war 2 since it is listed as unplayable on the pcsx2 website.

Besides, while PCSX2 can emulate a PS2, you still require PS2 format software. It isnt like it was re-released on PC you know.

I think if you want to play these games to their full extent, you need a PS2. Plain and simple.

and i forgot MetalGearSolid 3 also runs perfect on PC! if you got the brain skillz to do some research for special plugins etc etc.

As i said God of War 1&2 runs perfect on powerfull PC's , MGS3 too, currently playing SplinterCell DA PS2 version on my PC! running flawless too!!

I have a quad core CPU with a 9800gtx+. It isnt my hardware thank you very much. Intersting about the software advances since I tried to play god of war on my PC though.

You havent adressed the issue that God of war 2 is not even listed as "Playable" on the PSCX2 website.

I have looked extensivly on this issue and I soon realised that, while there are many playable games on PCSX2, none them reach the quality of actually having a PS2. Some come very close, but none fully recreate the quality.
