Strange that the election of the cardinal who was responsible for catholic dogma for at least the past 25 years under john paul II would change your mind about the catholic church. IMO The pope and the cardinals are handling the situation just and they should be: as die-hard catholics. They pray and forgive and stick together. We should expect nothing else from them. It is wrong but in a very real sense it is what they have been taught and what they know. How can they come up with other answers or ideas if they have spent decades doing the same thing? Someone who never marries, no sex and no family has no place to give moral orders to anyone else who has those real issues.
