  • Hi Karen! I'm finally back watching videos again, so I'm catching up on your videos :) It is awesome to see what you eat each day...what a great informative video!

  • Thanks, Karen. I really appreciate that you're so honest about daily choices. I had the sleeve done because I wasn't able to be honest about my eating patterns for so many years. YouTube has it over the Catholic Confessional since we can't replay our truth-telling over and over!! Keep up the great work~it shows!

  • Were you diabetic before the sleeve? I was and haven't the nerve to try much starches at all. Even choosing multi-grain is still alot of carbs, isn't it? (Fiber is your friend, I always say :) Rice is my 'feared' food as I choked about 8 wks out on a bite of fried rice~yuk! My biggest trial is avoiding the fat. Love Cabot's 50% less fat Cheddar Cheese, a little pricey but so good! I am 4 mo out, down 51 lbs. Keep up the info, it's always appreciated!

  • No, I was not diabetic. We are told not to get more than 60 carbs in a day; to eat whole wheat and just plain try to stay away from carbs. So you are making the right choices...better than mine...although I am working on improving that. Congrats on the loss!!!

  • Hope your recovery is going well. Thanks for commenting on my video.

  • wow, really great video! thanks for showing us your food stuffs! :-)

  • You are welcome. So glad you are still watching my vids. Hope you are doing well.

  • Great video... it's interesting to see what and how much others are eating. I too find some days it seems like I can eat more and some days less. Thanks!

  • I know it's so weird. I actually went to my first buffet today - not a good thing. But I took a little bite of multiple things. Then I'd move it around on my plate so it looked like I ate most of what was left and then go back for more little tastes.

  • I will be having VSG surgery soon and have really enjoyed watching your videos...you and your husband are a cute couple! Thanks for your honesty...I think my eating habits will be alot like yours...not the best, but good enough right? I look forward to more videos...

  • Thanks for watching and good luck on your surgery.

  • Thank you so much for showing this! I'm only 35 days out, I was able to start solids this week but it isn't going too well.

Please tell me this is normal? and I won't be on mushies for the rest of my life! - Wendy

  • No Wendy, you won't be on mushies for the rest of your life. Enjoy the no hunger feeling you are having because it will come back. But nothing like it used to be. Just go with what your body will tolerate. It will get there.

  • Hi Karen! Remember to keep in mind that you only ate HALF of a couple of those meals...so you only need to count half the calories and protein. So, even with the cookies, you may have had a lot less calories than you think! Keep up the great work! -Beth

  • That's true - if you don't eat all the food then you don't get all the calories. Thanks, you made my day. :)

  • Karen, thank you for another great video. We can always count on you to keep it real. Hope the new jobs are still going well for you and Dave. Take care. ~Sheila :0)

  • You are welcome for the video. Thanks for commenting. Yes, the job is going well. Dave is doing OK too. We have an increase in interest in our home. Hope we can sell soon. We still don't make enough to keep it.

  • Hi Karen. I always love your videos. We can't be "good" ALL the time...lol. Thanks for sharing your day with us. :-)

  • Thanks so much for commenting. Your support means a lot.

  • I was so busy looking at the beautiful kitchen over and over that I had to watch twice to get the video in my brain lol. love this video your amazing

  • Thanks so much for your kind comments. If you go back through the videos you'll find one called Want to see my house? You can see more of it there.

  • as always - thanks for sharing. honestly sharing. I know some sleevers haven't touched anything that remotely looks like bread, but I do, too, simply not the amount I used to.

    Take care! Looking good!

  • Bread is difficult with some people no matter what surgery they had. Nothing really seems to bother me unless I get too much fat. I love carbs but they are evil and only add more calories.

  • I'm Polish too hehe... well I'm American lol... so there are about 5 other things included - but my grampa used to make those too... mmmm I haven't had them in ages!

  • WHAT A BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN

  • Thanks for liking my kitchen. My husband did all the work himself including made the cabinets. We love it too. Unfortunately we have to sell. But I'm enjoying it while I can.

  • Thank you for this detailed video. I can tell I'll learn a lot from your videos. I'm glad I subscribed!

  • I'm glad you subscribed too. Hope my videos help you.

  • I love stuffed cabbage and I would love to have your recipe!

  • How long was it before you could eat bread and rice?

  • I struggle some days more than others. It's a learning process. I'm really learning not to beat myself up when I make a bad choice. I tell myself, next meal/snack I must do better. There are a lot of things that I can't eat anymore, but there are some things I can (that I shouldn't). We'll get there Karen, my anniversary date is April 14. I'm not quite at 100lbs- I had another major surgery 6 weeks ago and couldn't work out at all.I started back with Dr approval this past Sat. We're doing it

  • many thx for your videos

  • Are you still losing weight?

  • Yes, slowly

  • Your breakfast looked good! I love cabbage rolls! Thanks for sharing.

  • You're welcome.

  • Karen...thank you for honoring my request. I am a fellow Pollock too. I make cabbage rolls every year for my dad.

  • Cabbage rolls are a good healthy choice.
