i got a question guys. when i look at the app games on itunes it usually says it requires iphone 2.0 software update. im gettin a 1g ipod touch and im wondering if any of the new 1g models have 2.0 already installed. and if they dont, do i have to pay to download it like 2.2?

well anyway - getting a 1G touch will deffinetly have the latest version - 2.2 Cydia is somewhat like the app store but for jailbroken iphones/touches. You can install apps, skins, themes (icons, wallpaper, battery etc.) and much more. Like my iPod, my home screen looks nothing like a regular touch. That is from themes I got in cydia, that were applied through an app called winterboard also from cydia.

You have to find a guide to do it. U can do it on mac or windows with a program called quickpwn. Very easy, yet risky so be warned!

no, you can use wifi without jailbreak

Yeah, this is the iPod touch. Only the iPhone can call. The iPod touch otherwise is EXACTLY the same except it doesn't have phone, SMS, or a camera. The iPod Touch 2G also includes a speaker, but I have 1G

Just so everyone knows, this is firmware 2.1, I have upgraded to firmware 2.2 and jailbroken it, so I will be adding "Playing With My iPod Touch Episode 2" pretty soon. Popcorn and beer are apps from hottrix in the app store. search "hottrix" and it will show all of their apps

Yeah a lot of people are curious about this. It costs money to pay for the Internet on the ROUTER, but you do not have to pay when connecting TO a router on the touch. Other phones like iPhone have EDGE, and that you DO have to pay for when using it

ya, 2g ipod touch has yet to be jailbroken. 2.2 just came out for the ipod touches and iphones, so i will update soon and jailbreak again. 2g should be able to as well jailbreak in 2.2
