Hon, there is nothing "magical" about screwing, picking up STDs, and unwanted pregnancy. What an idiot thing to say. And the human brain does not fully develop until the late 20s (biological fact). Teens do not have a handle on rationale yet. Teens don't usually consider consequences of having sex. It's all about raging hormones. Listen to your parents. They lived through it. I commend the mom for talking straight about her opinions concerning teen sex and abortion. However, her thinking on abortion is just wrong. She seems to be against abortion if its used as a type of birth control. But it seems to be okay if the pregnancy is a one time "mistake" and therefore inconvenient. Why the double standard? If it's wrong...it's wrong!
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house.
